Amazing, This is Audio Drama Perfection
22 April 2024
Masterful storytelling and voice acting. The characters are all distinct and compelling. I was drawn in immediately. The Sojourn is an epic sci-fi audio drama that brings you to another world where new discoveries are made and challenges faced. There's something about listening to this audio drama that makes the imagined visuals so vivid. In many ways it's even better than a full video production. The Sojourn is a rare masterpiece that seemingly came out of nowhere.

I can't wait for more seasons to come out. This is really something special. If the creators of this series make any other audio dramas, especially sci-fi, they will likely start a massive trend.

The Most Inspiring Space Sci-Fi Ever Made
28 December 2023
The Expanse is unique among space sci-fi shows and movies, because it's the only one ever made that is actually somewhat realistic and plausible. Everything in the expanse takes place in our own solar system, with the actual places and objects that appear there. The physics are at least somewhat realistic, unlike every other space show or movie ever made.

Not only that, but the cast is amazing. Writing, acting, pacing, directing, and especially the sound and music are all top notch. One of a kind show. The best of the best. I would rank this as either the #1 or #2 TV series ever made, and definitely the #1 sci-fi show ever made.

Exceptional Cera Work
25 April 2020
Brilliantly shot, this action movie has some of the best camera work I've seen in a long time. There is a sequence going through an apartment complex that is made to look like one long take, it feels like you are right there with the characters. Great action movie, regardless or culturally accuracy or thin plot.

A Show Written Around Product Placement Advertising
21 September 2018
This show has almost nothing to do with going to Mars as you might guess at first glance. It seems to be written around product placements from Lucid Electric, Range Rover and non-branded idea marketing of AR Glasses and voice command driven devices of all kinds. Clearly production of this show was funded by companies with an interest in painting the future as centered around their products.

There is virtually no science fiction in this series, which seems to have rightly disappointed a lot of viewers because it was billed as sci-fi.

It would be ok that this is a family drama and not sci-fi, but it lacks any depth of plot and instead just seems to showcase unrealistic uses of products and not much else in between. It's boring and predictable once you understand it is one big commercial for tech products.

Gritty and Dark in Such a Perfect Way
29 January 2017
This show is easily some of Tom Hardy's best work.

The first episode grabbed me in the first minute and never let go. The sets and costume/makeup are superb. It's dirty, dank and wonderfully dark. There are just enough supernatural fantasy elements to make it interesting and mysterious, but not so much to be over the top.

The acting is superb, especially Tom Hardy's character. His characteristic grunts and other non verbal communications play so well with his role.

The British East India company is historically intriguing, and lives up to the intrigue in this show. It's interesting to see such a portrayal, one of the primary players in the foundation of modern capitalism as an antagonist in this show.

Very enjoyable show.
