Wish someone else had made it

Important story, acting overwrought by all except Pugh and Cilliam starting at the camera looking downcast was WAY overused.

What a boring mish mash of gimmicky timeline jumps, black and white to colour, ridiculous imaginary sex scene in court & the Pugh Murphy scenes shot naked lol. Ooooh how edgy.

Childish visual effects and the booming loud music in court room drowning out dialogue was laughable.

Only interesting bit was seeing who would be miscast in the role like Damon and the cynical tiny cameos from good actors like Affleck and Malek Imagine how much better if Spielberg Howard or Bigelow had directed. Don't understand why it won awards. American guilt?

How humiliating for Mirren to stoop to make this garbage.

Totally grubby exaggerated version of this awesome woman's life and accomplishments.

To reduce her life to a farce of clumsy repetitive sex scenes & a stupid totally unbelievable script is embarrassing for all involved.

Subtitled as it's in Russian which are very well done.

Accuracy and quality of this series is outstanding in every way.

Fabulous actors, gorgeous sets in authentic locations, no exaggerated adolescent scripts or the endless tedious scenes just for shock value. Just actual history which is totally entertaining, fascinating & involving.

First series is consistently excellent. Now watching Catherine 11 covering later years.

Summary: Forget the woeful English & American productions. Watch this.

Love Nick H but this is total teenage level slapstick crass.

Total cringeworthy garbage. Obligatory mindlessly repetitive & over the top swearing, violence & sex scenes...snore.

Could have been good but Oldmans one dimensional character with constant lame insults & farting gets old quickly.

Rest of the characters good but slow. Bit of a waste of acting talent.

Excellent series. Realistic. Well acted. Disturbing overview of the American bureaucracy & hypocrisy of the anti abortion hysteria vs the sketchy supports for single mothers affected by DV or poverty. Andie McDowell so believably flaky and frustrating, all storyline's & details genuinely authentic and no over the top dramatics, or crassness or treating the viewer like a 12 year old as is normally par for the course in many series now. And the leaf- amazing hard working super talented actress. Hats off to all.

That 14 year old teenager you writers have been writing crap movies for is now in his 30's and bored with references to penis's and toilet humor and the same old sex frame ups and jokes. It's over. Do some real writing and stop reverting to the easy way out. We hated it. Anyone who actually liked it must be drunk or has never seen a movie before. Or is paid to write good reviews for rubbish movies. Don't even get the DVD. A waste of the actors who looked bored or embarrassed about the lines. And who can blame them, look at the best comedies, the ones you watch time and time again. There's no state the obvious crassness or labored scripts that've been done to death. Can't believe this one got picked up.
