So glad I have this a chance!
23 August 2023
Warning: Spoilers
So I watched the first episode and only got 3/4 of the way through and quit, just couldn't get into it. Few wakes later I decided to try it again. This was such a great show, perhaps a little cliche but who cares, it's entertaining! Love the music and added the songs to my playlist just to keep the feeling going. I did want to slap Daisy a few times but she came around :) I liked the documentary feel if it, made it more interesting than just following a band show. Definitely cried at the End not really expecting how it ended, hoping for a second season. I'm going to read the book next and hope that it's just as good.

Not like the book
23 August 2023
Warning: Spoilers
If you have read the book, do yourself a favor and skip this one. I tried really hard to look past the differences but into episode 4 I just can't. The book is dark and gritty, this adaptation is just silly. I don't like the casting and the change in character in Bill is maddening. I get they needed someone for Jake to talk to versus hearing his thoughts and narration in the book but it's just ridiculous he would tell a stranger and risk the butterfly effect so much an issue in the book. It's like Stephen king had nothing to do with this adaptation. Lee is way too nice to Marina and she is too bold in the show versus the fearful abused wife in the book. I know they have ti skin details to make into a show but it's just not good. And Sadie talking about her ex wearing a clothespin on their wedding night?! What on earth?!

You need to have a brain to understand this concept
23 July 2023
These negative reviews are cracking me up. Some of you walked into the point and didn't even duck. It's not supposed to be funny, the laugh tracks and bad jokes are a a parody of old sitcoms. The flips between the comedy parody to the drama scenes are so well done. The change in lighting and the dialogue changes are brilliant. The amount of anger felt towards the oblivious and obnoxious husband is palpable. It's really sad really how close the "sitcom" portion of the show is so much like "Everybody loves Raymond" and how much everyone used to love that show. It's genius and if you don't think it is and miss what the show is actually doing, you are probably not smart enough to get it.

Great story and suspenseful
8 July 2023
There does need to be a little bit of plausible deniability here but if you can get past that it's a great show! I thought it was well acted and the characters were well developed. I feel like there was a good amount of suspense and twists through the series. I have a hard time paying attention to most shows and turn them off after the first 1 or 2 episodes. This one kept me intrigued and kept me pushing play. You root for the good guys and hate the bad guys and you are left hanging on until the very end. Not sure why the low rating, I thought this was a winner and better than more higher rated shows. Give it a chance.

Bad Sisters (2022– )

Don't miss out on this one!
21 January 2023
Warning: Spoilers
From the first episode this show had me hooked. The bad guy, John Paul is so unlikable that you want him dead as much as everyone else.

I loved all the sisters characters and thought they were all acted amazingly. The character development in all of them was amazingly done and how each one of them had their reasons to hate JP was well developed through the show.

I found the insurance brothers unlikable and relatable at the same time. As much as you want them to give up on their search for the truth, but you can understand their motive.

I absolutely loved the twist at the end and did not see it coming one bit!

Wednesday (2022– )

Binged in 2 days! Great plot and some casting, some casting is horrible though...
17 December 2022
I really enjoyed this series and it sufficiently held my attention. I was guessing the entire season as to who the monster was. Not until episode 6/7 did I have it figured out.

Jenna Ortega was a fantastic Wednesday and I feel like she captured the character splendidly. I also love Gwendoline Christie as Principle Weems. Danny Elfman does it again with the music in the series, he is masterful. Loved Christina Ricci's character and thought it was a great touch to have her in the cast. I also really like the supporting cast of students. Thing was also done very well.

I hated the entire casting of the family. Perhaps it's from preconceived notions in the previous actors of these roles. The chemistry between Gomez and Morticia was non existent and borderline disgusting. I get that Catherine Zeta Jones is aging, but it doesn't help when they cake on so much makeup, it makes her look older. Her acting is stiff and she just didn't pull it off. All I can see when Gomez is on screen was his character in the movie "waiting", he was gross in that movie and is gross in this series. Uncle Fester is way wrong, again I have Christopher Lloyds portrayal in my head as a creepy mysterious uncle. This one just didn't fit.

The scenery and effects I thought were really well done to make this a fun watch that makes me look forward to another season.

Please get rid of the daughters!
14 July 2022
I love the premise and the delivery of this show, but at times I have to turn it off because of the daughters. They are always yelling and talking over each other, I can't handle it!

Confusing timelines
23 April 2022
The flashbacks and the cuts to them "live" and together when they are just texting is very confusing. They jump around so much with little indication of where we are in the sequence of events. Acting is okay, I think Elle Fanning portrays Michelle pretty well. Could have been done in less episodes, I'm gonna power through to finish, but it drags a bit.

If you've been lucky enough to experience these situations first hand, you might not like this movie....
3 October 2021
This movie was amazing and the way guys act towards women is 100% accurate, speaking from experience. It's not a man hating movie, it's an accurate portrayal of how women are treated in a man's world. This movie is amazing and I hope it gains a lot of popularity for its dark reenactment of real life situations.

This show was amazing! All my favorite genres in one! Medical, true crime and drama! Great acting and well directed. Some complain about the time jumps, but I thought it was easy to follow.

Season 1 amazing, 2 pretty good, 3 is a snooze fest
30 May 2021
The first season was so good, like the beat show I've seen in a long time. 2 was good, a good and natural progression from season 1. 3 is just awful, I can't even finish it. They should have quit while they were ahead.

Enjoy it for being an amazing show!

I'm not really into history and don't know the specifics of this time period. I watched this for pure entertainment and that is exactly what I got! The scenery and costumes are beautiful and the characters complex. Highly recommend!

Ignore the bad reviews
21 February 2021
I personally really enjoyed this show. The acting is good, and if you are even half paying attention it is not confusing. It's in my opinion a good suspenseful way to spend a few hours.

Best show I've seen in a long time, maybe ever
7 October 2020
I cannot believe this show isn't more popular, it is absolutely amazing. The character development, especially for jay is none like I've seen before. It is adrenaline pumping and heart wrenching at the same time. Amazing performances and writing, a pure gem of a show.
