Full of It (2007)
Fun but not Funny
I watched this movie because I didn't have anything else to do and I was looking for a high school comedy to watch. I can say that I didn't laugh even once during the entire movie, but I did find it kind of fun to watch, what with Carmen Electra and all. I can just say that if my lies all came true, I'd be in heaven, so I can't understand why this kid realized that it wasn't good :S maybe a moral life lesson I guess, and I guess it is true, but I wanna experience it for myself, after meeting and kissing Carmen Electra of course. Overall, a enjoyable movie to just kick back and relax. Ryan Pinkston looks like a loser throughout the entire movie, but I guess that's what the movie is aiming for so that's okay. They could have picked a better girl to be the hottest girl in the school, and then it would've been more fun to watch :)
The Notebook (2004)
Another Great Novel Adapted Film
Just like "A walk to remember", this is one of the best romantic movies I have ever seen. I can't exactly relate to any of this, unlike in "A Walk to Remember", but it's definitely a movie I will watch once again in the near future when I get time. I almost shed a tear at the end of the movie - considering I am not the type who has EVER shed a tear. Nicholas Sparks writes some great novels, and I love it when the reality of those novels is captured effectively within motion pictures, giving the viewer a visual display of the great theme and complexity of the novel. A definite recommendation from me!! Go and see it if you haven't!
A Walk to Remember (2002)
Just Beautiful - Really Heartfelt
I don't have much to say about this movie other than that it's one of the best movies I have ever seen. I have only seen it once - but I plan to watch it many more times in the near future. What perfects this movie is the actors great performances, the great settings, the script, the music - everything about this movie was great. I can't describe it, but the movie triggered sort of a sorry/weird feeling inside of me that I have never experienced before - a very new perspective on life, a beautiful perspective on life. One can say safely say that I fell in love with Mandy Moore's character and it's sad, but I don't believe that you can find girls like that in the real world. I haven't actually read the novel - but if it's anything like the movie, it must be a best seller. A definite recommendation from me to anyone who hasn't seen this movie! For anyone that didn't like it, I respect your opinion - but seriously oppose it.
Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest (2006)
Amazing - Yet Not Better
Most of the movie was amazing, once again like the previous movie, I enjoyed this one very much. Some negatives to this movie however, in which it cannot compare to it's predecessor. First of all, I felt "the kraken" effects in some scenes were quite unrealistic - I won't mention which scenes to avoid spoilers. Also, I don't know if it was only me, but I did notice that Johny Depp's performance in this movie was nothing compared to his performance in the previous Pirates of the Caribbean. Seems he didn't put a lot of effort into it this time, didn't seem like he was really "Jack Sparrow" anymore. The movie was quite good, but the end was quite disappointing. I would have wished to see the conclusion of that - but I guess I can wait 5-6 months to see it now. Other than that, great work and great acting by the cast. Recommend to everyone if you're a big fan of Pirates of the Caribbean - and even if you're not, this one you definitely won't want to miss.
Don (2006)
Great action flick
A good action movie from Bollywood's perspective, although some parts did not make sense throughout the movie.
Good effects, I couldn't believe that Bollywood did such a good job on effects in the movie for the first time. Usually you can tell it's completely fake but this one was worth the watch.
Some parts of the story did not connect well, especially the end. Honestly, they should have not done a remake rather a whole new story similar to the old Don. It would have been much better not knowing what's going to happen. The story writers need to review the story before putting it into production, they missed some important points.
Story is a little messed up compared to the old one... big surprise in the end.
Saving Private Ryan (1998)
Good Performance, Accurate History & Very Gruesome
Saving Private Ryan has one of the best performances by all characters, while still signifying war as a bloody, gruesome and meaningless battle.
The movie, unlike many other war movies (The Great Raid), or even (Pearl Harbor), Saving Private Ryan follows a group of soldiers, on a mission to save Private Ryan. The fighting scenes are very accurate, and very gruesome. Saving Private Ryan is not one that drags on, but one that you enjoy the entire 2 hours and 50 minutes. Tom Hanks has done a great performance, as well as all the others. One of Steven Spielberg's greatest master pieces.
