bad, bad, bad, many bad things.
27 April 2024
I loved her character on The Good Wife and The Good Fight but only on short bursts with all the seriousness of both shows.

But prolonged exposure to a character so "shallow" (forgive my french) is boring, dull, repetitive.

Over the last 6 episodes there was zero character development and expected ending. It is a show to zone-out if you are extremely tired and want to have some-noise in the house, otherwise there is nothing "cool" about it.

The acting, the writing, the camera, the set, everything about the show is disconnected in one way or another, one camera pan and magazines are moved, clothes and makeup changed, even light-shadow moves too much to show that actors are in the show are not that good.

triple romance
27 April 2024
Warning: Spoilers
I'm a scientist, an inventor and an entrepreneur. I have to become an entrepreneur to make a living with what I have learned through science and my inventions. And I owe some of my inspiration to Star Trek, we have got married* with the writer's ideas long time ago, we have been through good and bad, this is a marriage no episode can dissolve.

Episode was a bit slow, I admit, but the theoretical design of the idea was great, no other episode had it, it is a new pattern, I am loving it!

To all the haters, even if an episode doesn't hit the mark for you, it often contributes something unique to the overall tapestry of the Star Trek universe. So try to entertain the idea of loving it what it is, sci-fi!

*idea.

I like it.
2 April 2024
I like when they put a girl character in charge of science, we need more women scientists in the world. It wasn't overbaked like the previous ghostbusters movie so that is an another plus. This is just medium-rare, well cooked, well prepared, there was nothing overblown about the movie. Why did it lost two stars, well it was because -without spoiling- how ghosts were able to control humans, there was a break in the story there.

Otherwise, like Millie Bobby Brown played really well on Enola Holmes, Mckenna Grace has places to go, you go girl! We want to see more from you!

In addition, it is nice to remember old cast, it was a joyful time in our childhood, who ya gonna call?

fringe wanna be but fails miserably
28 March 2024
Fringe had the best adaptation of parallel universe on any tv series.

This show misses on visual aesthetic, consistency and depth, character development, plot complexity, emotional depth, scientific basis.

Lets dive into topics, I won't be spoiling Fringe of course,

-visual aesthetic; there is no notification of if they are on the flip side, this confuses viewer, we don't have to track where you are, this is a tv series, not a documentary.

-consistency and depth; shallow as possible.

-character development; they remained flat, it ended flat.

-plot complexity; if you binge watch it, you can figure out it easily, there is nothing exhilarating about it.

-emotional depth; relationships felt shallow.

-scientific basis; wanna take on ISS and parallel universes, quantum tech and so on, try to get better advisors for your show.

I have watched the original chinese version and this is way off due to netflix effect, if you can find the original watch it in chinese, if you can't find it, then.. try to find the book series and read them. Otherwise, welcome to hell of netflix.

Chatgpt fill the rest "The Three-Body Problem" is a science fiction television series based on the novel by Liu Cixin. It explores a universe filled with unknowns and mysteries, as well as the interactions and conflicts between humanity and alien civilizations. The storyline is gripping, delving into profound scientific and philosophical questions, making it a work rich in imagination and exploration.

Halo: Halo (2024)

if you are attempting to change the history
21 March 2024
If you are attempting to change the history you gotta deliver something real solid.

Chatgpt fill something about the history of halo and how master chief met cortana and how long halsey lived.

The history of Halo revolves around the expansive universe created by the video game franchise developed by Bungie and later taken over by 343 Industries. At the center of this universe is Master Chief, a Spartan supersoldier, and Cortana, an advanced artificial intelligence.

The story begins with the discovery of an ancient ring-shaped superweapon called Halo, built by a mysterious and technologically advanced race known as the Forerunners. These Halo rings were designed to wipe out all sentient life in the galaxy in order to starve the parasitic Flood, which threatened to consume all life.

Master Chief, whose real name is John-117, was abducted as a child and trained as part of the Spartan-II program led by Dr. Catherine Halsey. He became one of the most skilled and capable soldiers in the United Nations Space Command (UNSC).

Cortana was created by Dr. Halsey based on a flash clone of her own brain. Cortana possesses unparalleled intelligence and serves as Master Chief's AI companion throughout the series.

Master Chief and Cortana first met during the events of the original Halo game, Halo: Combat Evolved. Cortana was initially tasked with assisting the UNSC ship Pillar of Autumn, but she fell into Master Chief's hands after the ship crash-landed on the Halo ring. Together, they embarked on a mission to uncover the secrets of Halo and prevent the Covenant, a powerful alien alliance, from activating the ring, which would lead to the destruction of all sentient life in the galaxy.

As for Dr. Catherine Halsey, she is a central figure in the Halo universe. She is the creator of the Spartan-II program and played a crucial role in the development of both Master Chief and Cortana. Halsey is a controversial figure, as her methods, including the abduction of children to create Spartans, are morally questionable. Despite facing criticism and scrutiny, she remains a key player in the ongoing conflicts within the Halo universe.

Halsey's lifespan is not explicitly stated in the games, but she is depicted as being much older than Master Chief due to advancements in medical technology and her involvement in top-secret military projects. Her exact age and lifespan remain unspecified, leaving room for speculation and interpretation within the Halo lore.

interesting ideas about AI, BUT!
3 January 2024
Yes, there are a few interesting ideas about artificial intelligence, about how it will evolve and shape etc.

But from my past experience, whenever I see a tv show that says "earlier" in the beginning of the 1st episode, it is not the earlier they talk about. They always go back and forth trying to mess with your time perception and in the end deliver not a thing.

This show, all 8 episodes of it was just a huge waste of my precious time. I thought there was something unique about it because I love lighthouses and idea of a space lighthouse dragged me into it but no, no no no no no...

it is dull, it is repetitive, it is boring, it is simple, it is shallow.

Avoid at all costs.

Rick and Morty (2013– )
1/10
a shallow tv show for a shallow person
26 December 2023
As an aficionado of thought-provoking and intellectually stimulating television, I found Rick and Morty to be nothing short of a mind-numbing disappointment. This show caters to the lowest common denominator, appealing to individuals who find humor in the mundane and lack the depth to appreciate truly sophisticated entertainment.

Rick and Morty is a shallow excuse for a television series, tailor-made for individuals who seek instant gratification and mindless entertainment. For those with a discerning taste for meaningful narratives and well-developed characters, this show falls woefully short. Save yourself the time and invest it in a more intellectually stimulating and artistically profound piece of television.

literally nothing original about him or his blabber.
9 December 2023
I think he is copying bits from George Carlin (about abortion rights), Fluffy (Gabriel Iglesias - about spoiled kids) and Ricky Gervais (about death). He got punched by Will Smith because he deserved it. He has to know where to stop.

Chris Rock, a so-called comedian, appears to be trapped in a perpetual loop of borrowed material and uninspired jokes. His recent antics, including the Oscar punch, only highlight his desperate quest for relevance. Rock's attempts at humor are as tasteless as a lukewarm cup of British tea, leaving audiences with a bitter aftertaste and longing for something more genuinely comedic.

The Creator (2023)
7/10
visually impressive yet narratively flawed film
25 November 2023
Walking into the theater, my expectations were a mix of excitement and curiosity, especially given the film's intriguing take on AI.

From the get-go, "The Creator" impressed me with its use of the $80 million budget. The cinematography was nothing short of remarkable, reminding me of the visual flair seen in "Blade Runner" "Elysium", "I, Robot" and "A. I." The world-building was immersive, creating a believable and lived-in environment that drew me in.

The performances, particularly the dynamic between Joshua and Alfie, were the highlights of the film for me. Their interactions brought depth to the story, and I found myself genuinely invested in their journey. However, as the plot progressed, I couldn't help but feel a sense of disappointment.

The story, which began with promise, started to unravel. The pacing felt rushed, and the plot became increasingly predictable. I noticed glaring plot holes that were hard to overlook, and the narrative lacked the depth I had hoped for. The ambitious theme of AI's humanity, which initially seemed thought-provoking, was undermined by the film's inability to maintain coherence.

While I appreciated the technical brilliance of the film, including the special effects and sound design, the script was a letdown. It was as if the movie wanted to say something profound about AI and humanity but ended up glossing over these complex themes, opting instead for a more superficial treatment.

The characters, aside from Joshua, felt one-dimensional. I struggled to connect with them emotionally, this emotional disconnect was particularly evident in the portrayal of the AI characters, including Alfie, who, despite being central to the story, lacked the depth to make their plight resonate with me.

While "The Creator" started off with great potential, it ultimately left me feeling underwhelmed. The film excelled in its visual storytelling but fell short in its narrative execution. It was a visually captivating experience, but the lack of emotional depth and narrative coherence made it a disappointing outing for me. I walked out of the theater feeling that the movie, despite its grand aspirations, missed the mark in delivering a fully engaging and thought-provoking sci-fi experience. It could have been a masterpiece, but a missed opportunity at best.

Loki: Glorious Purpose (2023)
Season 2, Episode 6
10/10
indeed, a glorious purpose
14 November 2023
"Loki" Season 1 left us in awe, and Season 2 managed to top it with a 'glorious' ending. The final episode was a stunning masterpiece, combining breathtaking cinematography with exceptional writing and direction. It's safe to say that "Loki" has taken us on an emotional rollercoaster, leaving us grateful for the opportunity to witness such remarkable storytelling.

Tom Hiddleston's portrayal of Loki shines, offering one of the greatest character arcs in comic book adaptation history. The visual effects in the series are mind-blowing, setting a high standard for any show. Owen Wilson and Sophia Di Martino deliver outstanding performances, but it's Tom Hiddleston who steals the show.

The episode masterfully handles high stakes, themes of fate, friendship, and sacrifice. Loki's character development is brilliantly executed, making this Marvel project stand out from recent disappointments like "Quantumania" and "Secret Invasion." It's a reminder that Marvel succeeds when it focuses on character development, storytelling, and action. I don't want to compare it with Tony Stark to Iron Man but Loki turned into something way greater of what he has done in his past.

While Season 1 had a shaky start, the last three episodes and the finale brought everything together, creating a masterpiece. Loki's journey from selfishness to self-sacrifice is profoundly moving. It's a ride that goes beyond the philosophical "needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few." The series leaves a lasting impact.

In a surprising turn of events, Loki becomes the God of Stories and Overseer of the Multiverse, finding his 'glorious purpose' and making a sacrifice for the greater good. Marvel's best finale and series overall, "Loki" is a masterpiece of production, writing, directing, music, and performances.

The fact that there won't be a Season 3 makes the conclusion of the series even more significant. "Loki" stands as a self-contained and exceptional piece of storytelling, and it will be remembered as a standout in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. It's a testament to the quality and depth that the MCU can achieve on the small screen. This is nothing short of art. I hope MCU can deliver more brain melting stuff like these, we need our kids to be interested in what is "impossible", what was possible is already dull and boring.

Expend4bles (2023)
1/10
Expend4bles, an expendable movie.
14 November 2023
It's a rare occurrence to see a film boasting such a star-studded ensemble stumble as profoundly as "Expend4bles" does. With a cast that includes the likes of Jason Statham, Megan Fox, Dolph Lundgren, Sylvester Stallone, Jacob Scipio, and Randy Couture, you'd expect nothing short of an explosive action extravaganza. However, what we're served with is an abomination that leaves you questioning the choices made by these once-promising actors.

Let's start with Megan Fox, who deserves the spotlight first. Her character is sadly reduced to delivering cheap one-liners and participating in a cringe-worthy "love making" scene, leaving her talents untapped and her role utterly devoid of substance. It's perplexing to see such a talented actress wasted in such a manner, raising the question of what the creative minds behind this film were thinking.

Dolph Lundgren, Jacob Scipio, and Randy Couture don't fare any better. One portrays a talkative, emotional hitman-a puzzling character choice that adds nothing to the film's plot. A sharpshooter character with terrible eyesight seems like a lazy attempt at humor, with the revelation being more of an eye-roll moment than a surprise. And last the character is just plain weird, lacking depth and any discernible purpose within the story.

And then there are Jason Statham and Sylvester Stallone, once iconic figures in the action genre. It's disheartening to see them descend from their career peaks in "Transporter" and "Rocky" to "act" in this cinematic trainwreck. Their performances feel forced and uninspired, making you wonder why they decided to participate in this ill-conceived project.

"Expend4bles" is not just a disappointment; it's an outright failure. It's a movie that fails to utilize the talents of its star-studded cast, delivering a plot that's weird, dull, and empty. Despite the high expectations set by the ensemble, the film falls flat on every front. With a rating of 1 out of 10, it's hard to find redeeming qualities in this cinematic misstep. Save your time and seek entertainment elsewhere.

Loki: Heart of the TVA (2023)
Season 2, Episode 4
9/10
Well, buckle up! Holy moley!
29 October 2023
Do you know the feeling when you're watching a TV series that leaves your brain feeling fried? Well, buckle up, because "Heart of the TVA" takes you on a journey so mind-bending that it makes contemplating time seem like child's play. As a physicist, I've always been drawn to the mysteries of the universe, but this series has opened up a whole new dimension of confusion and wonder for me. While the acting and scene connections may occasionally veer off track, the mind-blowing storyline more than makes up for it.

"Heart of the TVA" is an audacious foray into the uncharted territories of science fiction, and it doesn't shy away from the complexities of quantum physics. The narrative intricacies are so convoluted that it's almost like navigating a maze of alternate realities, with each episode leaving you questioning your very existence. The show's creators have taken the concept of parallel universes to a whole new level, intertwining multiple timelines and realities with a level of ambition that borders on the insane.

The characters, while not always consistently portrayed, each offer a unique perspective on the multifaceted nature of existence. You'll find yourself empathizing with a character from one universe while despising their counterpart in another, creating an emotional rollercoaster that spans dimensions. The standout performance, without a doubt, is the crazy Loki whose portrayal is so captivating that it's as if he's channeling the very essence of quantum entanglement.

The special effects in "Heart of the TVA" are a feast for the eyes. They seamlessly transition between the ordinary and the surreal, emphasizing the instability of the universe as we know it. The juxtaposition of real-world locations with mind-bending distortions in the space-time continuum adds a layer of unpredictability to the visual storytelling that keeps you on the edge of your seat.

While the series does have moments where the connections between scenes seem disjointed, it's easy to forgive these minor hiccups when you're engrossed in trying to decode the grand puzzle that is "Heart of the TVA." It's like assembling a jigsaw puzzle in the dark, only to discover that the pieces are constantly changing shape and color.

In conclusion, "Heart of the TVA" is not an episode for the faint of heart or mind. If you're willing to dive headfirst into the abyss of "time" and existential contemplation, this show is a rewarding and disorienting experience. While it may not be perfect, it challenges the boundaries of traditional storytelling and dares you to explore the boundless mysteries of the cosmos. Prepare to have your brain fried, reassembled, and then fried again - because "Heart of the TVA" is an unforgettable journey through the unknown.

Just WOW. 9/10 though.

life is too long to live alone doing nothing.
6 August 2023
Have you ever spent half of day trying to watch a movie? It is like one of those moments. If you are emotional and know what he has gone through then you can't stand a chance of survival this movie. It is way too heavy, all of the moments full of something that you don't want to skip and heavy.

It really doesn't matter what you do, where you live or whom you live with, if you feel alone and doing nothing in your life meaningful, do something, find that someone understands and accepts you as you are.

Life is too long to live alone doing nothing, contribute a value to this world, add something, this is our cradle, this is our home.

I LOVED IT!
3 August 2023
I LOVED IT! I LIKED IT! WOW I fell in love with it in first few minutes, didn't wanted it to end!

It was a great episode. Nothing like this out there. Something starts so serious and turns into something majestic, fun, exciting, flowing. You know what I mean? UNIQUE.

In all forms, this episode is one of the best episodes in the Star Trek universe.

I expect more from others now. Acting, the music, rhyming, dancing.

This episode is literally changes everything.

Thank you to all the actors Spock, Pike, Ortegas, La'an, Una Chin-riley, Nurse Chapel, M'Benga, Uhura, Kirk, Directors, Camera operators, Animations and of course writer.

I wish I can have a time machine to go back to 2006 and watch this series then. Just a few episodes would have changed my life.

If you are inventor, stay as an inventor, you don't need fancy degrees. Degrees won't help you to achieve your career dreams, your hardwork do. Degrees are just waste of time if you know and prove yourself to be knowledgeable and skilled in your certain topic.

As said, I wish I can go back to 2006. Too late now. Enough personal story.

Tv series were great, so sad I watched this MASTERPIECE in 2022! Too late, way way way too late. It is fringe-y but with more fun, I liked it.

12 July 2023
Jeremy Allen White should have stayed with shameless on his career.

Started watching this "shouting" filled tv series for him but after unbearable cringy 2 episodes I had to end it.

We get it, you are a cook, but I do not shout at my pasta when I am cooking it! I hope you catch my drift.

Understandably, there is a story but to get there, you have to endure all of the bullcrap, sadly I couldn't. Had to end it.

As said on the beginning, some actors should know where to stop their career. Shameless was a career building master piece and like jim parsons stopped with the big bang theory, you should have ended there.

This is.. cringe! Even with muted and only subtitles.

one strike and you are out.
12 July 2023
It is life ain't it. You make one mistake. I wonder why the producers made the decision to keep the actors to play same scenery over and over again.

Let me get back to the seasons before amazon's mess-up.

First half of the TV series were GREAT! Just great, absolutely well thought, well written, well acted. First 3 seasons.. well, no comparison.

Once I saw the amazon on the 4th season 1st episode, I braced myself for a downfall but did not expected to get this worse. Last 3 seasons could have been summarized in the depth of second half of season 3.

I liked this to the utmost extend till season 4, but afterwards, I hated it. That is why it deserved 5 stars.

All good tv series goes to trash for capitalist greed.

My comments about casting; Steven Strait, damn you are good.

Wes Chatham, you can act like "emotional" you are not an emotionless robot. We can see you care.

Cas Anvar, yes you are crazy and you are emotional engineer we all know.

Frankie Adams, you swagger.

Shohreh Aghdashloo, go .... yourself. Enough cursing! You over-hyped character that this tv series would have get a higher rating.

Dominique Tipper, you are the worst character in series. I hated you.

why are you trying to "humanize" nathan character?
19 May 2023
Well, well, well, look who decided to humanize the character who tear up the motto! Our dear pseudo-protagonist decided to abandon ship and join a team that's practically an enemy of the beloved Ted's team then leave there with a girlfdiend. And what do we get? They're still desperately attempting to "humanize" him. How utterly foolish! It's high time they rid themselves of this character once and for all. On a brighter note, aside from that debacle, the episode was quite marvelous. However, it would have been even better if we had some closure with Jack. Roy... what the heck are you doing mate?

Weird stuff going on, hope won't be the last season.

It is dark. It is just exactly like dark. Even stories, characters, the acting, sounds, music, everything. It is just another cockamamie set of words and acting wasted to make money for netflix. Stay away. Ready this again "stay away". Do not waste your time. Story moves slow, it is dull, empty and illogical. Expected to find something better but it isn't even close to dark. Just waste of time. Do not watch it, you don't need it. Spend hours of your life to learn something else, stop wasting your life with this idiotic representations of substandard people. In this day and age, where we can have great movies and tv shows, these are just traps to take your money.

Overall it was an excellent episode but that ending took away your nine stars, you heard it right 9 of your stars just gone. This season started with hallucinations, turned into crypto, suing fetuses and now peoples brain and guts. What the actual f. Unwatchable, unbearable, this is not the real world, the real world doesn't have problems like that. If you are shooting some sci-fi, parallel universe nonsense you should let people know. let me check if I understood it correctly.
15 October 2022
Here are some ground rules; -There is a god. "it" can create life and destroy planets.

-there are creatures that have been created by "it".

-"it" chooses to do the dirty work to creatures, ehem, "eternals"?

Because if it is, it clearly feels like the world we're living in right now.

Also, Ma Dong-seok looks a lot like Benedict Wong, why did you cast him? To fool with the watchers?

With all of the legacy of earlier phases left to you this is the best you can come up with marvel? Come on. We don't want some gen z Ignorami. We want to have a continuum to "The Infinity Saga". Such a waste of time.

Let me know if this is wrong by up or down voting.

I've been fan of marvel with the iron man. I have watched almost all of the movies at least three times but while watching this one I was wondering, almost all of the time, what the heck am I watching, what is the story, what is going on, what is the meaning of all of these... too many unanswered questions and lacks joy and enthusiasm of the singularity. Multiverse approach is damaging the original idea of the series of avengers and trying to add other heros to the mix is bad idea. This madness must end now.
