Top Gun: Maverick (2022)
Great peace of old Americana
What a wonderful movie! A masterpiece! It had everything in it: great plot, interesting story, love connections, nostalgia, phenomenal acting, the music. Everything worked. There was no agenda, no wokeness. There was a nice homage to the original Top Gun. It was good to see Val Kilmer as well. It made you laugh and cry, get nervous and sympathize with the characters. The ending couldn't have been any better. I think everybody came out of the movie theater teary eyed. Thank you, Tom and the team, for showing us how great our military used to be. It's nice to reminisce and be proud of our past times.
Thor: Love and Thunder (2022)
Atrocious
It's too bad marvel studios completely gave up on the Thor franchise. I loved all the previous movies, including the last one Thor: ragnarok. It was clever, visually stunning and funny. This movie was very weak. Bad acting, really not funny, it felt like a parody and not a real movie. CGI was very poor as well. There were parts of it that made me cringe. Natalie Portman was completely miscast. She's a great actress but she wasn't suitable for this role. First 30 minutes are unwatchable but then it picks up a big. Christian Bale was the only good thing in it. I'm surprise someone greenlit it and produced it. I hope it was an off movie for them. Looking forward to the next better Thor.
Nope (2022)
Waste of time mess
I was excited about the movie since I like the director's 2 previous pieces of work. This was such a waste of time. Nothing is happening throughout the movie. The story was all over the place and just not interesting. The actors were annoying, especially the girl. You are waiting for something and there's more useless talk, no range in actors play. I don't know what's happening with the reviews on here but it can't be right. I'm sure many of them are written by the paid trolls.
The ending was terrible. Nothing makes sense. I'm honestly shocked Peele misfired. He has a potential of becoming the new M Night Shamalan.
American Horror Stories: Milkmaids (2022)
Nasty
This is what AHS does. A couple of good episodes and then it goes completely off the rails. It's not even interesting. These people ran out of ideas. Just give it up already.
Fresh (2022)
Fresh story, very disturbing
Great movie. It kept me on the edge of my seat till the end. It's a very unique, very disturbing and tense horror. The actors were great, very emotional. Finally a really good horror movie.
Death on the Nile (2022)
Terrible second movie
Murder on the orient express was exciting and fast paced, the characters were developed and the actors were well chosen. I was looking forward to this movie and I'm honestly surprised at how bad it is. Extremely boring, bad acting and just nonsense all around.
Scream (2022)
Another garbage remake
How did Neve Campbell and Courtney Cox get suckered to be in this sticker? Bad story, bad acting, even their woke diverse cast couldn't pull it off. Instead, it added to the overall dread and despair. Every single movie coming out of Hollywood nowadays is terrible. Good thing I don't pay for any of it and I used to go to the movies every other week. Not a penny from me. Dune was an exception.
Dexter: New Blood: Sins of the Father (2022)
Hahahahaha, these people are sick
What was the point of this show? Just embarrassing. Writers, creators and showtime should be ashamed of themselves. Somebody approved it. No wonder Hollywood is folding on itself.
And Just Like That... (2021)
Another good shoe ruined by wokeness
There's no need to check all the boxes. What happened to just being Americans? Now they put themselves in small boxes of race and sexuality. No wonder it's falling apart. Bad dialogue and bad premise. Samantha was smart not to get involved in this garbage.
The Sinner (2017)
Reminded me of The Killing.
All seasons were different and entertaining. Very strong writing, acting and atmospheric tone. Unfortunately, I hear season 4 was the last one.
Last episode of season 4 was a spectacular tribute to the show. Absolutely loved the resolution of the story.
Dexter: New Blood (2021)
So far....not so good.
I wanted to like the first episode but the writing was lackluster. Not a good first kill. Weird characters. Did they really need to bring a gay stereotype in the first 10 minutes? Most gay people don't talk like this. Harrison found him in NY? He showed up out of nowhere. The music wasn't used once until the credits. The series has a different feel to it. It's boring. I hope it picks up.
Dune (2021)
Stunning and dark
Great movie with beautiful visuals, spectacular acting and score. It's only part one, it has an open ending but I hope it does well so they can make the second part. I wasn't familiar with the books, and I really loved the story. It's a little long but they've created a dark, dusty, sandy world that pulls you in and makes you think. I wouldn't spend a dime on a woke movie. This one is woke free. Go see it.
The Lost Symbol (2021)
Entertaining and visually stunning
I'm glad I didn't listen to all of the toilet paper buying brave Americans' reviews. The show is fast paced and very entertaining. I haven't read the book but I absolutely love the show. The actors did a great job as well. Let's the mysteries unfold.
I haven't seen anything woke in it either. Otherwise I'd stop watching.
See (2019)
Love the Queen
Love the show. Great story and character development. The Queen is portrayed very well by Sylvia Hoeks. She was also great in the new Blade Runner. All these spoiled whiners need to go watch the last episode of Game of Thrones for a few times.
Calls (2021)
Garbage
I was watching it with CC on. When the dispatch said...he looks white, Black or Hispanic?" They didn't capitalize the word White.
Stopped consuming this garbage right there.
Infidel (2019)
Intense
What makes it even more interesting, the story is based on true events. The acting is spectacular. The movie is very intense and fast paced. Great achievement of Dnesh D'Souza and non-Hollywood media.
The Stand (2020)
Good adaptation
Entertaining to watch. Whoopy is terrible in it. Why would anybody cast her for sny prohtct nowadays. Either she's going to alienate half of the audience or she's going to act the same in every show. Loved some of the actors like Marsden and Skarsgard.
Hunter Hunter (2020)
I'm glad I didn't pay attention to negative reviews
I decided to play this movie on the background while I was doing something. I didn't expect much after reading all the negative reviews. The acting, the music and scenery were great but the story actually turned out to be quite solid. I was glued to the screen 30 min into the movie. The ending is awesome, completely unpredictable.
Give it a try.
Night Stalker: The Hunt for a Serial Killer (2021)
Incompetence everywhere
Interesting short series. It makes me sad to see how many people died because of simple incompetence. Situation with a dentist, Dianne Feinstein, etc. this creep wasn't even hiding and it took forever to catch him.
Snowpiercer (2020)
From excited to dumbfounded
Not sure how Jennifer Connelly got sucked into this piece of work. The original story and a movie were great. But they managed to destroy it by choosing to be woke and disregarding long time fans. The show is miscast, the actors are mismatched and not exciting, with the exception of Ms. Connelly. The story itself is just silly. I stopped watching after episode 5. Get woke, go broke.
Terminator: Dark Fate (2019)
Identity politics ruins good movies
I was actually excited about this reboot with Arnold and Linda. It went downhill faster than I could say No Mas! It's not that's it's in Mexico but it's about the message - we couldn't come up with great script, we ll just show detention centers, women's power, an old white guy and we ll throw some Spanish language in the mix.
Schwarzenegger's Terminator is Carl now? Give me a break. If you can't create a respectable movie on par with the original, don't ruin it.
I'm glad there's no Titanic 2, Gladiator Rematch, Schindler's List Apocalypses.
It Chapter Two (2019)
A great ending to a terrifying story
What a great conclusion to the story. The movie was a little too long and the some of the dialogues weren't perfect but overall the movie delivered. The graphic and the music is spectacular, all of the Pennywise appearances are terrifying. Ready to float?
Aladdin (2019)
What a great movie!
Disney did a great job again. The movie is fun, emotional, colorful, fast paced and very entertaining. The cast was just perfect. They looked the part, great acting and singing, lots of humor.
I watched it in our new 4-DX theater and it was a truly amazing experience.
You (2018)
Double soy peanut butter latte please
Just finished watching the show and I can't wait for season 2. I didn't expect much from a Lifetime drama but it definitely lives up to the buzz. Great story, dialogues, characters and acting. It has a couple of slower episodes in the middle but it picks up later on. The ending was awesome too, I don't know what to expect.
Escape at Dannemora (2018)
Amazing show
Very well made and visually stunning limited series. Character development and overall storytelling captures you right from the start. Patricia Arquette is unrecognizable there. No wonder she won a Golden Globe for best performance. Everybody did a great job.
Absolutely loved it!
