Pale Rider (1985)
By far my favorite western!
As we all know, there are thousands of great westerns to watch. So many of them filled with action, great stories, decent acting, and those exciting climactic endings that we never forget.
This post is about the greatest western I've ever watched. I'm a western fan and I've watched so many, going all the way back to the spaghetti westerns and my first favorite trio, the "Dollars Trilogy".
In my opinion "Pale Rider" is the best western ever written, produced, and released to the public. This is another great film that grabs you from the beginning and never lets go. I've watched this film more than 50 times and never found a hole in the plot, an unnecessary scene, or an extra character the movie could have done without.
You already know everything I've stated if you've watched this film. However, if you've not yet watched this one, you should definitely make "Pale Rider" a priority 'must see'.
Even if you're not the western fan, I think you will enjoy this film. It has everything! This film delivers incredible acting, a solid storyline, excitement which starts at the opening credits and only builds throughout the film.
The climactic ending is long, but intentionally so. I can't describe the ending without spoilers so watch this one, enjoy the film, and even if you're sitting alone, be sure an applaud the finale!
An extremely rare 10/10!
We Have Always Lived in the Castle (2018)
I may buy this one...
I don't often leave movie reviews but felt this film deserved more praise. This is not an action movie or slasher film so if you're needing jump scares kindly move-on.
However, if you would enjoy a good drama with a little mystery and a solid storyline, believable characters due to incredible acting, and a few uneasy scenes with questionable characters while simultaneously wanting to see more, then "We Have Always Lived in the Castle" could be perfect for you too.
It is slow at times but intentionally so. We are led through a backstory without any confusing flashbacks or boring narrations. We get to understand these characters which causes the dramatic finale to be that much more exciting.
Save that thriller for another night and give this film a chance. It's a great mystery movie that will have you on the edge of your seat for a couple of hours. (8/10)
Hereditary (2018)
The perfect fall asleep quick film
This is arguably the worst fright film I've ever watched and I attempt to watch at least one per week. Slow is an understatement. The study of evolution is considered fast when compared to this bore.
I found the film extremely predictable. Going into detail would spoil the movie, but try to stay distracted as this film projects what's coming throughout the movie.
I thought several scenes were downright funny. I literally stopped the movie twice in order to compose my laughter.
If you find it available at no charge give it a viewing yourself, but in my opinion a .99 cent rental would be robbery for this "so called" horror film.
