Paris Christmas Waltz (2023)
Loved Paris and the Dancing
Love me some dancing shows like SYTYCD which Morrison was a judge plus the Paris and the Eiffel Tower dancing scenes were so fun to watch. Storyline was a little weak, but hey, dancing and Paris, what can go wrong? One thing that annoyed me was the final dance at the big competition was sung to "O Night Divine" and GAC chose to have the singer sing, "oh night, when he was born." Really?? I even went back and listened again, and I think they actually didn't sing the song as it was written "...when Christ was born." So strange. Why? Would Jesus' name really offend GAC viewers? It's a classic, beautiful song that is about Christ's birth! Anyway, aside from that, I enjoyed the movie.
Unplanned (2019)
Tough Movie to Watch, but Worth It
I went by myself to see this movie because it was during the day and no one else could go with me. I think Abby's story is incredibly powerful and I'm glad I did. I already knew the Planned Parenthood stuff about how they won't let the moms see their babies on ultrasound before they abort them because a majority would choose not to abort, the gruesomeness of the actual abortion procedure, the "industry" of abortion (the millions of dollars profited off abortions), the lie that they want to make abortion rare, etc., although I suspect that's just the tip of the iceberg. If you're an organization/doctor/health care provider that applauds the killing of millions of babies, then you're capable of anything. But seeing it on screen makes it even more real. I don't know if it should be rated R, but I sure would be careful about taking kids younger than 15 to it. When Abby held up the tiny baby's arm in the P.O.C. room, that was really disturbing, and the scene where the young girl was bloody was also very tough to watch. Also, when Abby was going through the abortion due to taking the abortion pills. I give the cast a lot of credit for their courage - they will most definitely be blacklisted by Hollywood for their participation in this movie. If you haven't seen it yet, you will be touched by the grace that her husband and family gives Abby for the 8 years that she worked for Planned Parenthood until she finally realizes what she's doing and where she's been working. It's a sad movie, but hopeful as well.
Moms' Night Out (2014)
Hilarious Movie!
My friends and I went to see this movie yesterday and laughed throughout the movie. It is really hilarious, sweet, and true to life. Loved the message and even cried in some spots. The casting is spot on, too. Sean Astin, Sara Drew, Trace Adkins, and Patricia Heaton bring a lot to their roles and are very funny. Don't listen to the negative reviews by critics - they are obviously not living in my world because this was by far the funniest movie I've seen in a long, long time. It says a lot that most critics loved "Neighbors" which is full of shockingly filthy situations which in my book, are not to be made fun of. I won't gross anyone out by putting what I've heard is in it. I'm just happy movies like Moms Night Out are being made for those of us who don't appreciate smutty potty humor. MNO is definitely a great movie with a positive message of God's love, family, the importance of mothers, and grace. Can't imagine anyone not enjoying this movie. Highly recommended!
