RIP LOGIC

The director has killed logic in every possible way. For example , when lucy has power to control mind then why she didn't apply it on the gangsters and it's gang. She was killing people after getting powerful without any logic but she didn't kill the main gangster.

Definitely not 1 star rating . This movie is victim of vicious politics that currently running in this country. People are not judging this movie on the merit basis . Blindly they are giving 1 rating to fulfill their propaganda need. This movie has everything that a good cinema needs. Story is based on real incidents , above all I loved all performances. Dipika and vikrant did a great job. Every emotion feels real. You can feel the pain of acid attack survivers. You can see what difficulties they encounter in their daily life. Be it financial , medical ,social or emotional. They go through all with this. Background supports the narration. The title track is memorable. It comes at right place. Directing such a movie itself a tedious task but meghna managed very well. It seems she got mastery over complex characters. Talvar is movie of such nature where characters are very complex. Though this movie deserves 8 but I will give 10 to do the justice.

First thought that will cross your mind is that this is the copy of badla which is again a remake of spanish movie "the invisible guest." But it's not a simple copy paste. Director has given some new input. Engaging movie .

I have no idea that what I am going to watch. I saw the ratings on IMDb and got lucky to have this on Netflix . This movie is beyond ones imagination. You can't predict what is the story about . Different life different stories all come together . It has a lot of philosophy . The characters are so real that at some point you start to feel for them. There pain and happiness will feel like yours. Vijay sethupathi is a man of extreme talent. Samantha too did an extremely well job here. Those five boys and Samantha's husband in the movie all are superb. Story is too good. Editing is fantastic. Cinematography is also a great. Overall rich cinematic experience.

A well crafted cinema but not cult.

So I went to see this movie on the recommendation of one of my moviegoer colleague. I had earlier watched the trailer and it was indeed promising . I have learnt something after watching this kannada movie . I used to have this thinking that why in Oscar's among several others categories, there are these two categories , One is for "Best director" and another one is for " Best movie". Isn't it right to think that best director will obviously direct the best movie. So I used to think like when one category is enough why they are having two ? Previously ,in Oscars ,Some times both the awards have been awarded to the same movie , sometimes not. For example in 2017 Oscars , moonlight was the "Best movie " but for the best director award, it was given to Damien chazelle for la la land. Obviously I was wrong to think like that. I had this confusion but never tried to solve this problem but KGF did this for me. In short KGF made me understand why we need two different category and not one, that KGF can be nominated in the category for the best direction and has the ability to win it too but the same can't be said if it is to be nominated in the category of" the best movie " Question is why? KGF is a very well crafted movie but it's not the Gangs of Vasseypur which is considered as a cult , Where director took completely different narrative line to tell a story which never has been adopted before. The characters we saw , were never seen before.The same goes with "Tumbaad" & "Andhadhun" . The directors of these movies , have no references to follow from where they can take inspiration. These movies are very much original while KGF took heavy inspirations from other movies, like it took from 300 in terms of color and texture. KGF has a decent storyline which has been pictured very well that means editor has done his job superbly. Cinematography is outstanding. You will find great contrast, in fact in every scene. Black is like a new character in this movie. It will force your mind to concentrate on the characters . With a budget value of 80 crore, production value is top notch(Here it is appropriate to mention that gangs of vasseypur 's budget was 9 crore).It never feels for a bit that this is a regional cinema. Dialogues are well written. Infact some lines are very impressive. Background score is appropriate for a movie like this ,upto some degree feels like inspired from bahubali but not copied. So where is this movie lagging? It will be harsh to judge this movie while comparing with world class cinema. We have to remember that this is a regional cinema. Where budget is generally tight. So you have to pour some commercial aspects too into the movie. Cause , at the end of the day money matters. Though, having so much good ingredients like story, camera work and production valve but it feels like we are watching a regular masala telugu cinema at some point where everybody's moto is to praise and worship the hero throughout the movie,where He can able to kill thousands of people with his bare hands only and not a single bullet will touch him. You will think when hero can be shot down with a gun from distance then why so many goons try to kill the hero with same old sword and knife. Again it should not be forgotten that these things have been done deliberately for mass purposes. If you can put behind these things which I think you should, you will able to appreciate the movie which you must. This is the 2nd picture of Prashanth Neel,(courtesy to IMDB) first one was Urgaam. When you will see urgaam you will start to feel the commonality between the lead characters of these movies. It seems what he had not able to achieve in urgaam , is trying to achieve here. I will give 7.5 /10 solely for director's vision and execution of this project. A well crafted movie but not extraordinary or cult.

I didn't know that this movie was directed by Chris Evans . What a great cinema. I loved every bit of this movie. There are so much wonderful tiny little moments , you will notice while watching this cinema. This is the kind of movie which grabs you slowly ,at the end you will totally be in control of the movie. Storey, screenplay is great. Acting is superb . This movie respects the love and relation. It's okey not being okey that is the maturity, it taught me, Told me a lot of things about life.

The Haunting of Hill House (2018)

Good but not best

1st and last episode is good. Actually there isn't much story but the execution and editing are the greatest part of the show. A horror series needs certain speed that it lacks . Much of the time is invested in characters because they have to pull a 10 episode series. Story scope is very limited . Acting is good . I am not impressed very much.

Andhadhun (2018)

A cinema experience that you must feel.

Andhadhun is a kind of movie which is not very regular . It's unconventional with reference to indian movies making point of view.Now a days ,Indian directors are getting more into making mature cinema . They are now stopping the spoon feeding Which might be risky for box office collection But somebody has to do it and Shri Ram Raghwan is that one man who is continuously doing it from his very first cinema Ek hasina thi. He btought us contents that generally do not portray in indian cinemas. Andhadhun is definitely his best work. That doesn't mean his previous works were mediocre. He never made a bad movie. This movie is filled with enough twist and turns that will hold you for its entire span . Story is the star in the movie. In a movie like this where so many strings are hanging, must be well connected and Director is successful in doing that . Where you feel ,an end is left to attach or a loophole is present , You should think twice or thrice because it is done deliberately just to add some more dimensions . You have to decide which path you want to see story follows. The main lead, blind character performed by Ayushman khurana is a wonderful treat to eyes. His character is very much complex but he nailed it with such a ease that it doesn't feel for a bit of second . After a while you may feel his misery inside you . This is certainly a feather in his crown. A great performance indeed. Tabbu's performance is also top notch . She is doing such a great work in this age. Drishaym is a great example.If a movie in thrill and suspense zone can stand against andhadhun , It's drishyam. It's a coincidence that both movie deals with visual theme but totally different . Wherein drishyam everybody is seeing but not seeing the things which is going on around them and here in Andhadhun ,main lead is not seeing but seeing the things . This movie is based on a short story , a short film is also made on this subject but making a full length movie is something different and tedious too with a subject like this. Full marks for direction. Editing is something that can make a average cinema superlative . Editing department earn full marks for doing justice with the story and making it a gritty, edgy cinema experience. Go watch it for a great cinema experience.

With this movie , indian film making has definitely gained a certain level of maturity . I have lost my faith in horror cum thriller zone movies which are produced in india, in past all they do is cut copy paste. This movie is definitely original. They do not use sudden creepy sound effects or the old tricks of moving camera over the shoulder. The director completely relies on the story to work and it works. The camera lenses are well used to portray the claustrophobic scenes . The production value is top notch , totally uplifts the movie. Most of the scene includes rain , the greens and a dark environment which works superbly . Director duo do not try to scare you through formula film making methods. They don't even try to do that ,it's the story and the environment which worked for them. Most of the scenes are designed in low light conditions but the contrast is high enough to attract your eye's attention towards the character. Actors have pulled there character successfully specially Soham Shah who is also the producer. A thousand year old myth , greed, deep dark corner of a humen's psyche , a monster (within and out too), ajay atul's precise background score , the spellbound scenic value and a world class direction . There is so much more this movie has to offer. The masala movie watcher may not able to appreciate the movie as it must be but this movie definitely deserves a sensible class of audience.

The first thing that came in my mind is Anjali menon, I have just started to see Malyalam cinema and i have this desire to meet Anjali and tell personally how incredible work she is doing. Story is soul of the movie, a real hero in true sense. I am seeing a pattern in her work , weather it's her first movie Manjadikuru or ustad hotel, writing is superb.she presents her philosophy very gently by not being over the top. Banglore days is no exception to this pattern.you will love this cinema. outstanding background score,great acting and i read somewhere a line by a critic weather Salman Dulkar have ever given a bad movie and no, he hasn't. that's seems very much true. Same goes for Nivin Polly, he too has delivered a great performance. overall a must watch cinema. You will not be disappointed.

can say a rare cinema

let me very simple while telling it. this movie is great. there are so many good things to tell about this movie,not going in the details but i have to mention that it will cause you goosebumps at its climax. all the lead characters are effective in their craft. however i personally like sursuri very much. she got such a innocent voice. salman as municipality shows a true mother nature. this movie brings so many issues in very effective story telling manner.Including all the issues through a single thread.while movie brings a lot of emotions, sometimes you feel sad though the interesting characters such as dedh sana and sursuri will make you smile i wonder why irfan kamal is not a famous name in the industry . this man got huge potential.

I mean from where i should start describing this movie. I was searching for some good cinema on IMDb to watch. I found this movie.Plot seemed interesting and i downloaded the movie.what makes this movie so beautiful so likable you cant understand until you experience it. they talk and talk and talk. they talk about every tiny special non-special things that happens in life.It is a good example of this phenomenon which happens to like everybody in their life time, if i had done this,if i had talked to that person,if i had gone there.It teaches us to do what makes you feel free. what makes you feel that you are living some life not living in some predefined guidelines.Both the leading actors are very natural.Movie's environment is super romantic. you will love it. Watch this movie for its honest writing.
