The Diplomat (2023)
Simply Good, finally
Let's be honest, lately all Netflix has done is drop the ball. Between terrible casts, bad translations, and EXTREMELY repetitive content. For the first time in a while they have made a quality, simply good, show. They weren't too greedy looking to build a whole universe, they weren't too shallow going with a cheap cast or too much made up stuff. They covered a current topic without going WAY too biased.
Go ahead and expand this, keep it simple, do not ask for too much.
Good job Netflix, keep it up with the quality shows. 8.4/10
If they stick to this type of content they can really get back to people asking for original content.
Deep Water (2022)
Same old...
Had some potential but mostly just another over sexualization of a good actress, unimpressive plot and decent cinematography. Some of the side characters do add decent interest.
Kaizoku oujo (2021)
Extreme beauty with wasted potential
Ok, yes it is extremely beautiful and the plot has a lot of potential from the start but nearing the end the drama gets weak and the way they try to incorporate the supernatural is not the best.
I think that if they had just kept up how they started they could have made a show with multiple seasons and not this short drama that in the end feels more like a not too impressive movie.
