Barnyard (2006)
A Funny Comedy!
Barnyard film by nickelodeon, starring Kevin James as a cow who
brings funny comedic jokes as well as fight off a coyote army. OK OK I know what your saying, why are you reviewing this movie if so many think it's horrible. I do want to tell you all the truth, I think this movie is good, reason why is because it brings a good amount of nostalgia and lots of funny lines I remembered to this day. the movie has a good plot going for it, there are a couple of things wrong with the film, like the ending is sort of rushed and there is a ton of product placements. There is still a bunch of thing that are good, like the jokes in the movie and the characters, there are just too many to count. I saw the movie when it premiere and I was young at the time, from what I heard everyone said this movie will scare kids. I don't really understand that, because when I saw it I wasn't scared one bit. Maybe it was just one of those lying excuses to make the film look bad. I recently watched the film and it still holds up, if your looking for an obscure film that actually has a lot of funny jokes than this movie is for you. If your one of those haters, that didn't like it the first time, then check it out again and maybe you'll change your mind.
Hard Target (1993)
A Popcorn Entertaining Movie
For many who have seen Michael Bay films, and most of the action/comedies this film combines both of those things and you will be amazed. The star of the movie is "Jean-Claude Van Damme" who plays a a character named Chance who protects the daughter of a military man who was murdered by a team of special killers who pays people to be practice targets and kill them off leaving no evidence and now are after the daughter who wants her dead so she doesn't know that they killed her father.
The movie starts slow but then it knocks you off your seat when the fights and action scenes happen, the story is OK but its hard to follow I guess that's why it's called hard target. The characters I can say are memorable but some things about the movie makes it weak which is why it got mixed reviews. Examples are like there are too many explosions happening that aren't even suppose to happen like in one scene Chance blows up a guy by pouring oil on him and then setting him on fire and he explodes, HOW! Unless he was holding dynamite or something. Also there are to many scenes focusing on the bad guys which are pretty scary because there is this henchmen who helps his boss kill people and in one part when one of there men are not following his orders the henchmen cuts of his ear, thank gosh it's off screen.
My last thoughts on the movie it's not a great movie but it is a good one and it's kind of close to being popcorn entertainment cause there are many actions scenes that are awesome. I recommend this movie for people who likes action, adventure, and suspense. Another thing that makes this movie good is that,Super Mario makes an appearance I don't know what happen to his hat but it's also the first time Mario uses a weapon. See the movie to know what I am talking about.
The Perks of Being a Wallflower (2012)
A O.K Movie
The Perks of Being A Wallflower the film that everyone says it's a great movie, that is was so amazing for it's fantastic characters and having the director being the guy who made the book was an excellent idea. Weeeellllllllll, I don't think so I think the movie is O.K just that, I don't really understand why so many people really like this movie. I mean I understand it had great morals and the acting was good it's just there are many problems in this movie. I saw this movie twice and I still see the problems it has. The first one being that it feels a bit unbelievable like the high school that the main character is in is filled with really mean people. That is not real to me. I have been to high school before and I have seen few but never so many in just one school. Yes I know there are bullies in school and people who have conditions, but this school feels like still unreal to me. Yes I also know this movie takes place in 90's but still it doesn't feel real. The second problems I have in the movie is that I felt uncomfortable when watching a few scenes in the movie. There is a few parts where charlie and his friends are doing a dance on stage for a celebration of the rocky horror picture show, I just said to myself "Movie have you have no shame" I know that the characters are having fun but I still feel uncomfortable. I also felt frustrated on how charlie was trying to break up with his girlfriend and he does it by kissing Sam right in front of her,OUCH! That hurt from here not only that but there were better solutions even at that time. Now your probably think I hate this movie but I don't I think it's O.K and that the actors was did amazing performances and the lessons in the movies are great. If you want a better film like this I say check out The Silver Linings Playbook
Kokuriko-zaka kara (2011)
A Fantastic Film!
This film is called From Up On Poppy Hill it's a weird name to me cause when I saw the movie it had nothing to do about a hill but it had something involving Poppy but I will explain that later. The movie's plot I won't explain cause this movie wasn't release in Most of The United States it was only in select theaters but I manage to find a nearby theater to watch it. After that it was great and I will explain things that is involve in the story. It's has to involve something about a difficult Romance,Parent Lost, and Saving something from being destroyed. The movie's not hard to follow but there are parts that can be difficult to find out and there is are few Twist in the movie that make it great I won't spoil it you have to watch the movie to understand. But the lesson I really love in the film which makes it strong It teaches how much family matters in life cause without it your on your own and how to survive to stand up for what you believe in some basic lessons that are done very well. Overall though it's a Fantastic well done anime film Parents and Kids will enjoy it and has great lessons to teach many. I recommend owning it on Blu-Ray and DVD
Indie Game: The Movie (2012)
A Must See For Gamers!
I just can't describe what this movie is about it's just amazing and it's weird because it's a documentary. I don't really like that many documentaries but this is an exception simply because it's awesome. If you watched my videos on YouTube then you know I am a gamer and originally I felt no interest when I first heard about this movie but my older brother said to check it out and I accepted. One day my brother came over and put it on his Netflix account on our blu-ray player, so I gave it a chance. After that I was amazed for manly for one reason, many of the people interviewed in the documentary speak about how video games impacted them as children, they speak about their memories of gaming. Most of them were apart of the generation when video games were first released on the consumer market. Most of the creators in the "Indie Game: The Movie" are part of that generation of original gaming. Most people in their late twenty's to early thirties like my older brother and his friends were around to play Atari and saw the invention of the first Nintendo console. When it comes to video games, I feel like I was born in the wrong decade or too late but I still love the video games now and I can look for older games I like from the past. This documentary shows how you can accomplish your goal no matter who stands in your way but what consequences you suffer from dedicating all your time to accomplish the creation and evolution of your independently created video game. Well like I said the movie ends up being great because they tell there stories on how they started playing games and then making them. Also that you can't let people stand in your way of trying to make something happen. It's happy, sad, and peaceful to watch but the only compliant that I have is how long it is, it's under 2 hours but that's my only complaint I won't explain the ending because it's an experience that I don't want to spoil for you.
