I saw the show for last night for the first time. Quite good. It is nice to see a show that somehow takes you back to that era of television when you enjoy a movie/show (horror or otherwise) for the content and not a lot of gore. I remember during the 60's and early 70's watching movies from the 40's & the 50's that had suspense & good acting. Of course, as most people my age, I also started enjoying movies with lots of gore and blood. But now nearing 50, I think more fondly of this old movies/shows. Even if the movie/show had blood in it, since the majority were black and white films (to me every show was in black and white since we did not owe a color TV set) the most important things were the characters and the story.

Great Movie

I remember watching this movie with my brother late one night on a portable black & white TV. I am pretty sure the original movie was shot in black & white. Great compilation of stories.
The one I remember the most was the one about the plant. My mom always had lots of plants so I always checked after them to make sure they were not turning into cannibals. Of course the severe hand and other monsters were scary, specially for 2 impressionable kids of about 10 and 11 years old.
I will never forget the end. If memory serves me well, it was the first movie that i can remember seeing were the main characters die. Ironic how Death can be a life saver.

Very well made fictional work. Makes you think hard about how dependent we have become on foreign sources of power. It also makes you think about American people love affair with gas guzzlers and the love/hate relationship with the powers that hold the biggest amounts of oil. Many conservatives do not like their religion, but own vehicles that take $50+ to fill tank. Even being a work of fiction, it still makes you wonder if something like this would happen. What can we do? I do remember Arab Prince Addulah being asked around April 2004 if oil prices would be lowered for the November elections and he stating in that oil is a very important commodity to play political games with it. Funny that prices dropped a few cents in August, and are back high again.
