Game of Thrones: The Long Night (2019)
Waste
What a total waste! 9 years of whitewalker mythology and it ends like this?
20 whitewalkers that did nothing, and loads upon loads of risen dead. This could have been epic, but ended up being a throw-away episode.
I've read that they wanted the cinematography to be confusing, "they wanted us to experience the battle" like the characters would. They have managed that perfectly
before during daytime scenes. This seems like a cost issue, more than a creative one.
3 episodes down and I feel more and more with every passing episode that this season is a huge let down in both tone and substance. Didn't the night king deserve say 3 episodes that delved into the mythology whilst at the same time utilising both the (un)dead, the whitewalkers and the resurrected dragon in a much better way than this?
Also, if you are going to mention the crypt being safe again and again and again, spoon-feeding us the fact that all hell would break loose down there. Couldn't you do it better than that? Wouldn't this be the perfect moment to bring back Michelle Fairley, Art Parkinson, Richard Madden (maybe not), Sean Bean (head sewn to his neck), Aisling Franciosi? Que Sansa hunted by her undead brother and the imp having a last deadly encounter with her mother?
The whole season so far is one big fat missed opportunity!!
The Son (2017)
Timeline fail!!??
Unless "young Eli" is actually Eli's father I can't see the time-line fitting? Did they just think the viewers would not give a #¤%# that Pierce Brosnan is playing the world's fittest 80 year old. If you were lucky enough to reach 80 years of age in 1915's cattle ranch Texas you wouldn't look like Brosnan's 63 going on 55.
Hope it get's better, the bones are there!
The Man from U.N.C.L.E. (2015)
A must see for Guy Richie fans!!
I really liked this film! I don't really see how GR could have made it any better!
Action, humor, good chemistry between the actors! As a first movie in a (I had hoped) franchise, it does exactly what it is supposed to! I thought Henry Cavill did a really great job, BTW. where what is happening to Man of Steel 2? I am afraid we will loose a great superman in what is looking like C R A P justice franchise! What the guys at WB were thinking/smoking when they gave such a important role to Ben Affleck I would love to know!
Really, really, really got my eyes up for Sylvester Groth! What a FANTASTIC actor!! He makes the movie so much better!
It is in my opinion one of the summers best films! After watching crap like Fantastic Four, Tomorrowland, Jurassic World and the likes, this was a happy surprise!
Here's hoping it does well enough a sequel
