Eradication (2022)

different, but good

I really liked this movie, it kept me interested most of the time. I did skip ahead several times during the long drawn out up close emotional face shots and long scenery walks or house sneaking waiting for danger at the next corner, they draw those scenes out way too long in every movie. Other than that, I was glued to the screen waiting to find out the mystery of what is really going on. Some things are still not clear to me but that's okay, gives me something to think about. The ending was unexpected but I suppose that is due to constant Hollywood garbage. Overall a good movie imo, much better than the usual cgi/action/dumbed down usual stuff.

And, this will probably get my review banned, but there was no forced on you identity or gender or race stuff shoved in your face....

Who would have thought that it would take Leatherface to take out all these self imposed liberal social justice morons. My only problem with this film is that it took all the way to the very end to kill that exceedingly ugly and annoying Melody. Well, that and the usual 'little girl power' that is so prevalent today. Wait, shouldn't this film be cancelled? It had no asians or lesbians or gays??? Oh wait, there was that one asian threatining to cancel leatherface, my bad. Well, I'm sure twitter will cancel it. Well, maybe not, it does include a black guy with a hot blond chick. Hollywood checklist almost complete. Lord knows they are the voice of reason and diversity and free speech. Well, let me take that back. If you disagree with anything they say then there will be no reason or free speech what so ever....but hey, can't expect ppl to adhere to there own principles can you? Hated to see Richter die but glad all the others died. Other than that, I thought it was a pretty good film. Enjoy.

I forgot to add that John Malkovichs' voice is great as the uptight intelligentsia of liberal cultural know-it-alls'. His voice is so soothing.... I need to add more to this review apparently, not enough characters, so let's just say, again, how much I love this show....

Lots of wannabe movie critics here rating this 1 or 2 stars. Good for them. That's THEIR opinion! MY opinion is this is at least a 7. Way too many ppl out there that think their opinion should be gold, and everyone else canceled. This is the new reality. People so full of themselves and their ability to cancel anything they don't like. Anyway, I thought the movie was great. I was constantly on edge of my seat with every new revelation. I only fast forwarded a few times with the crying whining scenes that went on to long. I'm sure the mother daughter/son scenes hit female viewers but to me were too much. Other than that it was a great sci fi flick to me. Good job!

What can I say...Very cool! Non stop pure entertainment, never once did I get bored or think about fast forwarding. Wish it was an tv series so it could go on and on and on! Kind of reminded me of "It's always sunny in Philadelphia", without the filtered cussing. Real people, real cussing, real world.....not the disney type conservative filtered version comedy, Definitely not for kids or family!. For the record I consider myself conservative but hate censorship in any form. Yeah, there were not realistic parts but that's all part of comedy in my opinion. Just a real fun movie. Wish there was much more.....

I don't review movies often, but I just had to say something. This movie will leave me thinking....I enjoyed it that much!

The Captive (I) (2014)

Pretty darn good...

Well, as others have said, I'm not so sure why all the bad reviews. I almost didn't watch this consequently. But I always have to remind myself of the backseat critics inundating IMDb. Things like Ryan Reynolds or any actor didn't (according to them) act or display the correct emotions, etc.... Maybe I'm just slow or easily entertained. I thought all the acting was very genuine and believable. I was totally hooked on the plot and suspense every minute. This was a great movie. Unless you are a wannabe movie critic that fancies knowing all about acting, directing, script writing, movie making... all while working your normal dead end job having nothing to do with the entertainment industry... you will enjoy this movie. That's what it is... a movie!

Air (I) (2015)

Very good

I'm not sure what is with other people, but I thought this movie was very good. Maybe they just can't enjoy something that is not a big blockbuster budget mega action movie.

I enjoyed the entire movie. I thought the story, acting, set were all good and kept me watching and thinking the entire time. Never once did I think it was boring or wish that it would hurry up already. I thought both main characters were very good and I was never sure who I really wanted to root for.

There were only a few places where I thought things wouldn't have gone the way they did them but maybe that is just me.

Yes, I would definitely recommend this movie if you like to think and feel rather than just be entertained.

Murder on the Home Front (2013 TV Movie)

Loved it, despite other reviews

Well, I won't go on and on here as I am not a movie review fanatic or even talented at describing things well. But I will say, as far as liking this movie that I loved it! I thought it was an excellent murder mystery type movie with very likable characters and I would love to see many more of these. I loved all the lead characters and thought all the acting was great. One reviewer says that Tamzin Merchant was awful. What? I thought she was perfect and I really couldn't get into any kind of sequel without her. One reviewer was disappointed that it was made by Carnival films and not BBC. I for one am glad it was not the usual boring, dragging on, BBC drama. I, if you can't tell, am American and this film was sooooo much better than the usual BBC stuff. It was not Hollywood either nor am I sad that it wasn't. Hollywood stuff gets old. All I can say is that if this is an example of British (admittedly low budget) movies today than I am ready to start watching a lot more of them. I think it was VERY well done on a whatever budget that I really didn't even notice because I was glued to the story the entire time! I was only disappointed when it ended. I could watch more of these on and on. Once again, thank you to all involved, I hope you make many more!

Ghost Team One (2013)

IMO an excellent flick

I wasn't sure I was going to like this movie but I'm glad I watched it. I loved it and hope there will be another and another. I thought this was hilarious. I have to admit that at first I thought because the lead characters are of hispanic origin that I might not like it. Maybe that sounds bad but I am just not into the whole hispanic culture thing. But these characters are 100% American. There is nothing hispanic about this movie. Is that a selling point? Is that racist? Maybe to some but people like what people like, we are all allowed our own feelings and likes. I am so glad I watched this movie. The comedy may offend some people but to anyone who enjoys comedy of real life and real language, not the toned down censored versions, this is great stuff. If you like the comedy of "workaholics" on comedy central then to me this is very similar if not even better. At first it seems we have come across just another low budget college made type party movie but any thoughts like that soon evaporate. This movie is very well made, with great actors, and I was never bored the entire film. I HATE found footage films and luckily this is NOT one! It is just made to totally make fun of the type. The characters are fantastic. Brad is hilarious, as is his straight laced co-lead roommate Sergio. They remind me of a younger version of Charlie and Alan Harper of 2 and a half men, although they are not brothers. One is a horny partying chick magnet and the other is a horny mostly chick loser virgin. The two main actresses fill in the movie nicely and quited well. I can think of only one time the movie seemed to get a slightly dragging on feeling, but not for long, and then BAM, something totally hilarious happens. The ending scenes feel a little rushed and not so hilarious but over all 95% is Great Stuff! Hope you enjoy!
