Few political incorrect scenes and no strong villain

Not a clear story and not a strong villain like part 1.

Sanjay Dutt performance is worst.

But as a package worthy to watch in theatre.

Prashanth Neel is Steven Spielberg of Indian cinema. He literally set the benchmark and style. And he showed how the commercial movie should be made in 2022. Prashanth is far better than Rajamouli ans Shankar for spending money where exactly its needed.

Part 1 was more politically correct film. But this part 2 has few politically incorrect scenes and dialogues.

Kadaisi Vivasayi (2021)

Original philosophical movie I ever watched

This is movie is going to be a one of the Greatest Of All Time (GOAT) movie.

Movie feels like meditation. All credits goes to one and only Manikandan.

That old man was the best actor ever lived, if it was done any functional actor, this movie would be spolied.

Atlast, about VJS, what to say, Tamil cinema had many good actors and we are going to have many best actors than VJS. But Tamil cinema will not see such a rare human ever.

And many thinks like this movie supports organic farming. But not. In a single dialogue, Manikandan gave a jibe to all organic farmers, the dialogue is Yogi Babu says " here after only rich people would do agriculture". This movie neither support nor oppose organic and artificial fertilizer farming. This movie is more than that.

Kuthiraivaal (2021)

Aesthetic cinematography and music

I gave 7 star to only cinematography and music. Because I am not able to understand what exactly writers trying to convey in this movie.

If you attempt something new, then you should explain the things as a voice over in the movie to make understand layman. Even I used to watch Martin sorceress, Hitchcock, Wes andersan, Nolan etc. But their movies are easy to understand. Because they delivered the clear plot.

My worry, i spent 1000 rs with my family for kuthiraivaal. Am not able to enjoy the story as I was not able to understand anything. Not only me. We were around 30 ppl in theatre, no one has understand the movie.

If you make movies for only intellectual then you should prepare audience before they step in to theatre.

If you don't want to explain the movie, then you should promote movie as its made for only intellectual. So, we don't watch this kind of movie.

If you are intellectual, then you better make the movie for yourself and show it to ppl whom think can understand the movie. Don't release the movie in theatre.

Movie which missed the cult classic status

All credits goes to Darbuga siva. Never imagined tamil director would do a movie like this.

Whenever i watch malayalam movies, i always used to think, why the hell our tamil directors are not doing movie with mere real life characters. Then i got to see this movie.

Brilliantly made beautiful film in Tamil.

This movie would have been cult classic if fantasy Darbuga siva character was not exist. Hey Darbuga siva you ruined entire feel of movie with Cupid character.

Finest movie I have ever watched in Telugu. It made me cry and made to feel the love.

All credits goes to writer and director. Keep up your rebellious writing spirit.

I belong to V*****R caste which has portrait in this movie. Believe our community people are more inhuman than what it showed in this movie.

If are on Indian, you should watch this movie once in your lifetime or you are missing the history of India.

It seems, director is college going student who never have any maturity to direct a film. Only this kind of half baked director only gets opportunity this days. It shows, how DQ is immature to choosing the script.

Captain Prabhakaran (1991)

MASTER PIECE.Most Successful film in its time. But became most under rated film after many years

When I watched this movie in theater in 1991, I was a 6 year old kid. This movie was one of my favorite movie in those days. I watched it more than 20 times in various occasions during 90s. After I grew up I forget the movie, and I thought I was overrated the movie as I watched it during my childhood days. Years roll on, Yesterday(29/May/2018), nearly after 25 years I suddenly happen to see this movie in Youtube. Firstly I thought of watching only the highlighted good scenes of the movie. But, when movie title card was started, I was not able to fast forward movie only to highlighted scenes. So, ended up seeing this movie frame by frame. Once movie completed I was not able to realized that I watched 25 years old movie. I became astonished and I started admire Director R.K. Selvamani as one of the great legendary director of tamil cinema. And my good thoughts towards Vijayakanth was increased to next level.

Below are some of the greatest path breaking techniques or mindblowing facts about this movie, 1. Title card starts after 30 mins of movie. So, you have to wait 30 mins to see the main protogonist of this movie. Which gives you more weigtage to the Character Prabhakaran.Even though you are not a Vijayakanth fan, this techniques creates mammoth expectations on the hero entry. 2. Mansoor Alikhan introduction. First few minutes, camera was behind the villain. You would get furious to see villain's face. But, director reveals villain's face when villain slice man's head and blood was splashing in to villain's face. That how you should see blooded face Mansoor Alikhan. 3. Cuts(Editing) - Especially in all the scenes when Vijakanth doing enquiry in different forest areas with illayaraja's bgm and Vijayakanth's attitude makes those non-dialogue scenes really awesome. 4. Illayaraja's bmg. I think, this movie's bgm was one of most under rated illayaraja's bgm. some times it feel like illayaraja's best. 5. Vijayakanth - wow wow..what an attitude, he graciously carries himself in all the scenes. One of the finest and under rated actor tamil cinema ever produced. 6. At last, the real Captain Mr.R.K.Selvamani. His idealogy and his way of narration and many political satire scenes makes this movie watchable and content is still relevant to the current Indian politics which feel like watching a new movie.

Am giving 9 starts as rating because most of Vijayakanth's rivalry actor's movie got good ratings for their average films. But, Captain Prabhakaran movie was under rated.

This movie was most successful and highly grossed movie when it was release. But it lost it's charisma as this movie was not telecast in major tamil channels. If you get a time, please don't miss this MASTER PIECE.

Onbadhu Roobai Nottu (2007)

A Classic movie without a cosmetic make up of normal movie

First let me explain, why I gave 10 points to this movie. The main intention of this film is not to make money, not to make superiority prestige, not to make particular audience happy and not to prove this movie is great. The intention was just to give experience of one old man life, which gives you feel like you are watching real life in FILM. I am sure, who ever we calling as the revolutionary director in tamil cinema, they won't get guts to make movie like this. Director ThankarBachan avoided commercial elements intentionally, that is the one thing he became very tall from other so called best directors. This movie creates a correct grammar on how to make real movie. No extraordinary camera, no extraordinary location, no extraordinary diglogues, no extraordinary editing, no extraordinary crew but above all this movie is stands as real extraordinary movie. This is one real different treatment Thankar wants to make this movie ordinary in to extraordinary. This movie really teasing our so called good movies without any intention. Or may be, I am the one felt that. Thanks to ThankarBachan and I am waiting for his next movies. Sathyaraji did a great job as an actor.

Schindler's List (1993)

This movies is the answer to, why movies are powerful medium

I am from India. I am interested to see path breaking movies in any language. I watched many Hollywood movies in my laptop. After I saw/heard good review about this movie. I got this movie from one of my friend and I copied to my personal laptop, its been around 7 years I kept this movie in my laptop without watching it. I apologize for that. whenever I open this movie, the beginning scenes were not fascinating to me, that why I turned off and switch to other movies. 2 days before I decided to watch this movie without any distraction. I started watching at midnight 1 o clock. and I finished it around 5 o clock. I felt very guilty for not watching this movie for 7 years. But actually it was 22 years if I calculate from the year movie released.

What a movie !! I never felt this much emotional for any foreign language movie. But this movie touched my soul. I could not control tears rolling out of my eyes.

This is not a movie. This is lesson to everybody. And it shows what one rich man can do this to the world. We wont find any rich man like Oskar Schindler in todays world. He was rich at his heart. The moment Schindler started to realize the urge to help the Jews are really wonderful, only god like human can do it to them. I personally believe Gods are living in the world in form of men like Schindler.

About Spielberg, only Spielberg could create this much of emotional as he is Jew.

At last, movies like these are essential to make our world better. After watching Schindler's List I started feeling all the entertainment movies are crap.

If we deliver more number of movies like Schindler's List, our world would become full of wonderful people.

Finally, I prayed to God for Schindler's family for having person like this in their family. I bow down my head and thank to Oskar Schindler for this bravery to save mankind. And thanks to Spielberg to made this movie.

Ayirathil Oruvan (2010)

Unsung movie in history of Indian cinema

This movie is for, those who are always compare Indian movies with Hollywood cinema. Even Hollywood movie makers can not made movie like this in this budget.

Movie is well crafted from start to end. There is no lag in the movie. If you feel lagging then you are not watching movie with your full concentration. Some people claim, AO is the movie for genius movie watchers? definitely not. This movie tells story in a layman's language. If you are still confused then you are watching this movie for name sake. After 5 years I am writing this review in IMDb. Because this movie is worth to talk and write for another decade.

Some people says directors like S.S.Rajamouli and Sankar are the two directors who raised the Indian movies to Hollywood standard. But I would say that is utterly false statement. People admired about Naan E and Sankar's so called worthless expenses as Hollywood standard. But real fact is, why we are giving much important to Hollywood movies is, that is because of the concept and beyond level of thinking they have it in their BRAIN. AO is the answer to that THINK BEYOND concept in Indian cinema. If you watch this movie without any distraction you will feel what I felt. The reason I am dragging Sankar and S.S.Rajamouli into this context is, these two directors are worshiped as demi god of making Hollywood standard movie in Indian Cinema. But the truth is Selvaragavan done that without making much noise by giving Aayirathil Oruvan to Indian cinema. So please stop making Sankar and S.S.Rajamouli as big directors in Indian, they are giving masala movies with mix of some gimmick technology.

If someone ask me which movie you can select, if you compete with Hollywood movie, I would say without any second thought "Aayirathil Oruvan" is the movie which would challenge the Hollywood film makers.

Atlast the bitter truth is, this movie is the one real unsung movie in Indian cinema history. My heartiest thanks to real Hollywood thinker and director Selvaraghavan.

Jigarthanda (2014)

One of the rarest movie in Indian cinema and one of the finest actor in Inidan cinema

The reason I watched this movie is for my favorite Bobby Simha and Karthick Subbaaraj. I stunned with the performance of Simha, he is really amazing and awesome. I am dare to say Simha is going to be finest actor in Indian cinema if he is continue to do the different character as he did so far. Even I am dare to suggest tamil old actors like Rajini, Kamal, Ajith, Vijay to learn what is real acting from Simha. Simha is really great great. Am damn sure he is one of the best actor in Indian cinema. Particularly I am mesmerized when he change over his acting from don to normal man and normal man to don, especially when he ask Siddarth with knife in his hand, "pakathula vandhavudanae bayam poiduchaa", this performance is epic. And another grooving performance is, when Simha receives credits from the child of Soundhar, Simha's eyes itself conveyed the movie climax, thats why director orchestrate all the dialogue in gibberish in the climax, only few actors can do that performance and only good movie lovers can understand what Simha is expressing.

Apart from performance all credits goes to director. After Pizza the expectation was much higher on Jigarthanda. But after Jigarthanda what Karthick is going to do. lets wait and watch. Hope Kartick will come with another surprise in his next movie. But am damn sure, Karthick himself can not make flick like this again, it is a once in a life time script. I admire Karthick more than Bala, Manirathnam. Because Karthick is more intellectual director than them.

And last credits goes to composer Santhosh and cinemotographer gavemic u ary. Hats off to them. Great work.

Arrambam (2013)

Noting special

I am a die hard fan of Ajith Since 15 years old.

Every movie I saw only for Ajith. Being a die hard fan I can not admire fakely all the crap movies. If you feel this movie is good, am sure after few years you will feel what a utterly movie this is. This all I can write about this movie.

My request for all Ajith fans. Don't encourage this kind of movies. Then thala will restrict himself movies like this. some point to say about this movie is: No nuances scenes, no goosebumps scenes,

no gripping screenplay.

Vishnuwardhan made the movie very simple without any mental effort. My verdict: Don't's keep acting this kind of movie Ajith sir.

Gravity (2013)

Visual that you can not visualize ever. Must see 3D movie ever

Visual that you can not visualize ever. But Director Alfonso Cuaron had visual in his mind first and he conceive Gravity with unimaginable manner. No words to say..wow wow wow wow wow wow wow wow..Fantastic movie. don't miss to see this movie in 3D, if you miss then you may have to wait another decade to experience movies like this. Hats off to the director Alfonso Cuaron.

I am wondering how director made other technician to understand every frame of this script. Especially Cinematographer of this movie.

After director, all credits goes to Cinematographer Emmanuel Lubezki. You can not realize that you are seeing space in camera, you would feel like you are one of them watching everything happen in space. Cinematography is soul of this movie. Thanks for giving us the fantastic experience.

Raja Rani (2013)

Good movie with good cast and crew

About directroy Atlee:

These days new directors are clearly knows, 1. what kind of scenes has to be avoided to make the movies neither good(super) nor bad(mokka). 2. And some the new directors even knows what are all the scenes they have to include in the movie to make the hit movie.

Atlee's success falls in these 2 categories and he perfectly delivered Raja rani with all of the success factors. Atlee is too good in pull the best out of the crew and he made admirable scenes in every frame. keep up the smart work.

Top list of cast's performance in Raja Rani: 1. Jai - Very fresh and new character in Tamil cinema 2. Nayanthara - Fantastic acting, especially in crying scenes. 3. Sathyaraj - Even his appearance is very short, he made his best.

At the whole it is a must watch movie.

Advice to director Atlee: if you reduce commercial elements in your next movie, definitely you will become the one the finest director in Indian cinema. And always don't follow your guru director Shankar to spend meaningless expense. Congrats to Atlee for giving us the wonderful movie.

Thadaiyara Thaakka (2012)

Finest Gangster movie ever in Indian Cinema

This movie is one of the finest gangster movie ever in Indian cinema. I never expect this kind of portrayal from the director Magizh. Hatoff to his excellent work. I rate this movie 9 out of 10. The reason I gave this highest rating is, this movie has a very unique portrayal about gangsters and also a common man's angry. and also you can not compare this movie to any other movies. someone compared this movie with Rowthiram. I have seen Rowthiram also. But this movie entirely different from Rowthiram. So this movie is incomparable. I wanted to rate top list of tamil cinema's gangster saga. I don't want to include Nayakan in this list because that was too incomparable.

Thalaivaa (2013)

Once again Vijay beat his previous records

Once again Vijay create feeling like his previous movies like Villu, Sura, Vettaikaaran are much better than Thalaivaa. Super Vijay keep it up. And also I would like to thank Director Vijay for gave utterly flop movies for Vijay and Vikram. I can not blame these actors for this kind of utter movies. Director should take responsibility for this worst movie. Director Vijay, are you think Tamil film audiences are mindless people. Now you came to know why this film went as jokes in social media sites. Please try to give good movies like Deiva thirumagal(even though it is copy, Actor Vikram and baby Sarah saved you by their performance). So many English films are there for you to copy. Please stop copy our own tamil cinema and named with different title.
