Breaking (2022)

Could be a 15 minutes movie

Take the acting out of the movie and there's nothing left. Seriously, nothing. If this is really after a true story, there must be something wrong with the police in America, FBI and all the departments that are involved in this. All they have to do in order to end the situation was to transfer 892$ in the account of the VA and let the guy see it. That's all! What they do after with the money it's their problem. But noooo, let's negociate with a guy for pocket money. This is a nonsense!

About the movie, was so long and boring and I was on the verge to shut it down if it wasn't for the acting..

Shōgun (2024)

What a brilliant journey

Before I started this I was a little sceptical. Shogun is my favorite book ever, I red it 4 times and I was not sure this mini series would be at least as good as the 1st one, with Chamberlain. Boy was I wrong!! In the 70 series, Toranaga looks like heartless, stone taught leader with no emotions. In the FX series, Sanada does a brilliant job, showing us countless expressions and emotions of the character. From fear (you know when you see it, no spoilers), happiness, determination and so on. Mariko is so graceful, the actress plays her serenity perfect, compared to the actress from the 1st series. Even Blacktorne is good (not as these 2 but very close), he looks so humane and fragile sometimes. Actually, you won't see a weak link in the acting department, support cast also.

The cinematography is very good, I love that they show different scenarios (rain, sunny, winter, etc), the attention to details is mind-blowing for a tf series.

Please don't compare this to game of thrones. That was a fantasy TV series. Anything was permitted. Shogun is about HUMANS, about emotions, honor, duty and so much more. It looks slow paced, you...contemplate this show instead of watch it, you take your time. Rarely I've been so absorbed and glued to the screen from a TV series like I'm here and again, I'm surprised they could pull this off.

The rating is well deserved, actors, cinematography, everything is perfect. My only "problem" is that it could have been 2 seasons long and not just 10 episodes. The book is big enough for this buy hey, we must enjoy what we have and Shogun is by far the best show of the year. Safe to say is (if they keep it like this the remaining 4 episodes) it will become a classic and one of the best ever.

Dune: Part Two (2024)

Just one word to describe it: MASTERPIECE

I don't know what can you say about this movie that wasn't already said. Unbelievable cinematography, CGI, casting, fabulous music and villains. Villneuve did the impossible, adapt probably the hardest book ever in the S. F. universe. Part one was great but part two is FLAWLESS. Do yourself a favor and watch it in IMAX, seriously, you won't regret it.

Who didn't read the books (I envy you, to be able to read it for the 1st time 😀) may talk about minor issues with the script but the director was so faithful to the books and you don't see that in Hollywood nowadays. Of course, you can't cover and entire book in just 2 and a half hour of a movie, but he did it! Villneuve cements his place in the pantheon of top tier directors with this movie.

I can't wait for part 3, I refuse to believe there won't be one, over the years he said his dream is to make a trilogy and close the circle.

In the end, all I can say is go watch the movie, do it in IMAX and enjoy a mind-blowing journey, in one of the best movies ever done. Yes, it's that good!

Transformers: Rise of the Beasts (2023)

Yeap, it's as bad as everyone said.

Saw this nonsense for free, on Showtime. If I would have paid to go to cinema to see it, man, I would have been furious. I don't even know where to begin. The lead actors are the worst I've seen in recent movies, even B rate movies, WORST chemistry ever!! The action is a joke, the story is so blunt, predictable and liniar that I think a 5yo wrote it. I was like ok, maybe the CGI can save my time invested here. Nope again, it's the worst of the series and it should've beenbthe best, the movie is new!!!! An example? When a huge robot stomps on concrete nothing happens, no tyre brakes on the road, nothing! Check even the 1st entry of the franchise to see the difference.

Please, just stop this nonsense, it's becoming the new fast & furious!

Extraction II (2023)

Cinematography and... That's all.

You won't see a logic in this movie. Or a story. Or a good plot. You will see just superb cinematography and action in the first 40 minutes. That's all. That's the movie. In terms of camera work it's way better than the 1st one .if you can shut down you brain and ignore some MAJOR flaws, it can be a good popcorn movie. But don't compare it to John Wick series, that's something else, characters aren't that dumb and dull there.

The funny part is that actors here try their best and it could have been a way better movie it if wasn't for the script. And there's always a kid in the movie that has to ruin everything and brake the logic barrier. Always!!!

Drink Masters (2022– )

Sooo predictable...

Pros: cinematography, when they present the cocktail is top notch. You can learn from the diversity of these drinks and it's amazing how they combine some elements. And that's where the good part ends.

Cons: everything else. The judges, maybe they are good in their line of work but Frankie is talking like a shaolin priest, no emotions, no passion, way too chill for this. Then we have the...agenda with the contestants. You know who's gonna win and who's gonna reach far in the show sooo easy! And no, not by their skill. And this kills all the fun unfortunately. Is it that hard to do a show based exclusively on REAL talent instead of ethnicity???

Ozark (2017–2022)

Started like a Rockstar, ended like a bum

How is it possible to ruin a show like this? First 2 season were top quality, season 3 was a downfall and season 4 literally RUINED the show! Literally brain dead plot, unrealistic characters, illogical decisions. The kids are the most annoying and dumb persons I've eveeer seen in a TV show (the genius Jonah and his "rebellious" side, useless and no charisma Charlotte), and Ruth in season 4 is like a brainless and wrecking ball, a huge disappointment. All of a sudden nobody is scared of the cartel, it's all about Ruth and her cursing in EVERY scene (no,literally, every scene she's in!!). One of the best characters is the most hated in season 4.

Without season 4 this would have been a 7.6-8 show. But season 4 is slow, illogical, boring and with abysmal character development. Such a shame.

Gomorrah (2014–2021)

Don't compare it with Sopranos!!

I really don't understand why people compare this with The Sopranos. Why, cause its a show about mafia? Wrong! Sopranos was a pioneer TV show, based on ONE character and his actions in two worlds:Tony Soprano the mob boss and the family man. It was not supposed to be that violent, gritty AND contemporary like Gomora. It's a romantic portrayal of a man trying to fit in two worlds. And it's a 10/10 show.

Gomora on the other hand it's brutal, way more direct, not a slow burner like Sopranos, shows the cruel reality of the present and it does it PERFECTLY. Amazing actors, amazing cinematography, atmosphere and music. It's a masterpiece on its own but it would have been there if not for the sopranos. Two different TV shows, both perfect for what they wanted to show and overall one of the best TV series ever!

Money Heist (2017–2021)

Do yourself a favor: stop after season 2

It's amazing how a great show can be ruined to the point of no return when they don't know when to stop. THIS could have been one of the greatest TV show of the modern era but Netflix decided to take a Hollywood turn after season 2 an completely ruin the show. By the end of the last season, you have a sope opera, combined with Fast & Furious nonsense and brainless ending.

Shameless (2011–2021)

Unreal how they butchered this show..

It's been a burden to finish this show, which I loved for so long. The last 2-3 seasons are pure garbage, totally ruined by the lgbt and blm agenda. I gave it an 8 for the previous seasons. Do yourself a favor and stop after season 9, even season 8.

Shameless (2011–2021)

This is the best exemple of how to ruin a show in just 2 seasons.

Don't get me wrong, I LOVE Shameless, that's why i gave it a 9, it could have been a classic but they literally ruined it with the last 2 seasons. If you want to watch the most succesful show of Showtime, do yourself a favor and ignore the last two seasons. It's a shame a show like this has a writting for the ending seasons..

Dark (2017–2020)

Not a TV series, a journey!

You won't find any TV series with perfect actors, ALL of them, perfect cinematography, perfect music, perfect writing and so on. Maybe in other series you will see, let's say, a slight better leading actor but you won't see the music or something else. But Dark has it all, this show is flawless and a big slap in the face of Hollywood shows. Netflix hit the jackpot with this one. Stranger Things, although it's a very good show, it's just a walk in the park compared to this masterpiece!

The Haunting of Hill House (2018)

Blown away !

First of all let me tell you I HATE horror movies. All of them. They are full of jumpscares, dumb, full of cliche and with the worst acting possible. And then I heard about this show. I gave it a chance and boy I was rewarded. This aint horror, this is genius ! Masterfully done, gorgeous cinematography, smart script and top acting ! This is an instant classic ! And again, this comes from a guy who had terrible nightmares when he was a kid, being terrified by horror movies ! But this folks is something else ! Don't miss this gem !
