Creed III (2023)
Rushed and lacks empathy, but have nice visuals
The movie unfortunately lacks the emotions and connection you feel with the characters, which were found in the previous two movies.
Jonathan Majors was a great addition and he stole the show, but the movie still felt rushed and we needed to experience more of his character.
Rocky is obviously missed as he was a great essence of these movies, not sure what was the conflict to include him in this one, even as a cameo.
A good upside was the visuals, but I felt that they relied more on them to depict the story.
Overall 6/10. Story doesn't add much & characters are one-sided even with good acting and visuals.
Shingeki no Kyojin: Memories of the Future (2022)
We are witnessing greatness
The story keeps on giving. Secrets of the past are unfolding. Sides are being switched, no one knowing who are the good guys from the bad, who is in the right and who is in the wrong?
Overall the episode is as good as any, less action here but more to the story and not a single dull moment!
Shingeki no Kyojin: Children of the Forest (2021)
Beauty in its complexity
Every character have their role, each one with a different perspective and only will the world be in peace if each perspective is to be respected. AOT is more than a manga or an anime. This episode and this season as a whole removes the small titan bubble that eldians lived in and now introduces the harshness of the big world and how people interact with how the other players look at them
Re:Zero kara Hajimeru Isekai Seikatsu: The Witches' Tea Party (2020)
Behold an unthinkable present
How a whole season with only one setting and one timestamp keeps having this suspense, this depression that only grows more, shows how magnificent the plot grows. Very enjoyable and makes you at the edge of your seat from start to finish, with a cliffhanger to sum it all up. Can't wait to see how the season finale will wrap the whole season up. And from now I can say I cant wait for the next season.
Legion: Chapter 27 (2019)
What could've been a Bang ended with a Blow
How can you make a masterpiece and end it this way no one knows. Game of Thrones did it, and Legion writers copied their work.
Now many may say otherwise but this is my point of view. What I didn't like from this was 1) The main plot of Legion was Farouk being the villian who tortured David all his life, who in the first two seasons were thought of as the monster who destroys the world and should be stopped. But now in this episode he is the so goody goody who wants to help David in his adventures? Doesn't make sense does it?
2) Syd's storyline, where is it? If Syd was absent from the episode I think everything would flow the same. She didn't have any major impact for a major character like she is. Even at the end when David said to her thank you for saving him, she said she didn't, and that was all for the baby, which shows how Syd still thinks David is selfish and deserves what he still got, even after a whole episode dedicated to Syd changing her mind about him.
3) Time Demons, What were thought to be the greatest thing happened this season, turned out to be just pets who can sit and go in command. Why ruin what was good villians in this series? I have no Idea.
4) Aubrey Plaza, who many thought is the best thing that happened in this show because she gave it all her energy, sadly disappeared and wasn't even shown as a cameo. Rest in Peace Lenny, you did your part well.
Legion: Chapter 25 (2019)
only 2 episodes remain, so we get a filler??
Seriously all the other episodes were enjoyable. Why do they have to buzzkill this enjoyment with a useless filler episode?
Legion: Chapter 24 (2019)
I am Legion
This is it, the final season, and the writers know that. No strings attached, an end to the story. Love it or hate it, they don't care because you can see they put their hearts into it. Excitement is there. Plot is moving forward and fast! Emotions are flowing. We can see what David, or should I say LEGION, is capable of.
Time Monsters in the Future, David in the Past, what can go wrong?
Legion: Chapter 20 (2019)
Spectacular first episode for hopefully a spectacular final season!
This is an episode that shows how Legion has the ability to become one of the most distinctive shows on TV. The writers are telling us "Yes we know David is the strongest X-man, but how can we show this in the strongest and most imaginative way possible?" and they did not let us down. Sadly this is the last season of legion, and I have no doubt from what I saw in this episode that the writers and director are putting everything in it for us to enjoy.
Well done!
Legion: Chapter 16 (2018)
yes it is not a masterpiece but it isn't bad
This season of legion focuses more on quality of cinematography instead of story,
and this episode is no different. The plot moves forward but not with a high pace as it supposed to be; however, it doesn't leave you bored and actually keeps the suspense at its place.
It is not a 10/10 as some people review and neither is it a 1/10.
I just wanted to say that Amahl Farouk's acting is top notch and helps in enjoying this season.
Legion: Chapter 9 (2018)
A dance-off psychological thriller, literally
And Legion is back everybody, with more missing pieces of the puzzle and more psychological references that make you don't know if it is real or is the Shadow King playing tricks on you. Keeps you entertained and confused, in thirst for more.
Pacific Rim Uprising (2018)
Entertaining, Similar to the first one, but....
With less character build and logical story-line.
Pacific Rim 2 was action-filled as expected, but it lacked the character build.
With Charlie Hunman leaving after the first movie, John Boyega andScott Eastwood tried to keep the flame going. But I felt like they lacked a story; they lacked a past or a self-story that would make them special as the main characters.
Also the story-line was basic. Yes, they kept the same story as the first part but they added some aspects that to me was illogical; that it was forced.
Other than these two problems I found, the movie amazed me with its visual effects, sound editing and mixing, and I left the theater satisfied.
