Great Allegory

If you have felt like your work is monotonous and pointless. Or your getting nowhere in your career or life. And thought of just downing tools. Ever realised you could make things better at work if the workforce all pulled together....or felt like the management dont listen or see you as a number, there to do their bidding.....youll get this movie.

All the bad reviews on here i think are from people expecting something akin to the Saw series or similar one location horror/thrillers......this isnt that, if you watch and put it in the context of your own dissatisfied work life youll see how smart and poignant this movie is.

Well acted by Lil Rel Howery, the end could have been better but i felt like this movie spoke to me and how i feel about my boring, unfulfilling job.

What the hell was that
21 January 2022
The animation was brilliant....but the stories....what the hell.

They made zero sense.expecially the second one.

I'm so confused with what I just sat through

It literally only gets a 4 cos the animation was superb.

Halo 4 (2012 Video Game)

quick review of the campaign only
13 November 2012
From the off ill say i didn't get into halo until halo 3, i thought 1 and 2 were lame. 3 i thought was brilliant Reech was even better and ODST was by far the worst of the lot. Halo 4 i went into with high hopes and from the get go things seemed good. Graphically its an awe worthy game. So pretty. the controls are familiar to any halo player and they haven't messed with them at all. Slightly annoying they have taken away the "compass" at the top of the screen showing your next target so that at certain points on the large open areas you can find your self a bit lost. the game play is great and just what you expect from a halo game with a few new little tweeks in there in weapons and abilities, and also some fun flying missions. The new "big bad" the Didact is cool, he looks awesome with or without the armour but my issue is the final confrontation with him. so anti climactic. add to that the fact i completed the campaign in about 4.5/5 hours. just seemed a bit short. so i give halo a seven out of ten. high marks for the graphics and gamplay but marked down for the short story and lame use of a cool looking villain.

as i did say tho this review DOES NOT include anything to do with the multiplayer as i didn't get on there before my mate wanted to take his game home. but all wanna be spartans enjoy the game for what it is

Spider-Man 3 (2007)

it still hurts

Warning: Spoilers
This film was release five years ago and it still makes my blood boil. Coming off the back of spiderman two which i thought was one of the best superhero films ever made i thought there was noway they could miss. a great film before it and using one of my fave characters.....VWNOM. The hype for the film was the best part of the film.

from the get go this film is utterly painful the forced patriotism as he poses in front of the American flag .....AGAIN hes done it in every film, give us a break we get it, hes American.

the sandman storyline was so forced, i felt no sympathy for him with his sick daughter, and revisiting the uncle Ben story was so un-needed. Mary Jane, although i am a fan of Miss Dunst this was one of the worst performances I've seen from her. Harry was watchable but still added nothing really to the storyline. the Butler telling him however many years after his fathers death that it was his own glider killed him was such a stupid bit of the plot i actually nearly cried.

onto the thing i was most psyched for the Symbiote. while in, what i shall call goo form, at some points looked very good, others looked like flubbers black cousin and at one point looked like a guys hand in a bin liner. When we met Eddie Brock, immediate thoughts was he was way to weedy. the guys tiny and Brock/venom is meant to be huge. the transformation into venom was brilliantly done and was straight out of the comic / cartoon. loved that part. but when he was venom, again way to small and he was just a black spiderman, ,no trademark white spider no trademark tongue, in fact he just kept peeling the face back so we see Topher Grace with bad vampire teeth talking to us all the time. guys, this is something the spiderman fans have been looking forward to for years. And you have made it nothing like the source material.

now I've been gentle in this review and haven't even mentioned Emo Peter Parker doing the Saturday night fever down the street or dancing in the bar, all ill say on that is this.....how many people worked on this film? and we have to believe at no point did anyone put there hand up and say "What the hell are we doing here?"

This film was terrible from start to finish apart from the venom transformation for Brock.

but this question still remains, which is the bigger piece of crap....this ....or Batman and Robin?
