I hate that I even thought this would be a good romance. This movie is pure trashy nonsense. Don't watch with your family or friends unless you want second hand embarrassment.ita really bad. The acting is horrible. The storyline isn't even worthy of a Christmas category. Really, nothing was funny. I didn't like how it started with her being dumped but continued on until I just couldn't take it at all. I have never watched a Christmas movie this bad. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone at all. If you want romance, fun, humor, a good story- this is not for you at all. Pick something else. Parody or not it's horrible.

Mission: Impossible - Dead Reckoning Part One (2023)

Excellent action packed spy movie

The movie was excellent because the action kept you on the edge of your seat from start to finish. There are lots of twists and turns, and the story keeps you interested. You don't know who to trust! You don't know who's telling the truth and you never know where the key is. Outstanding and it's absolutely a fast pace and great movie. Tom Cruise did an excellent job with the stunts in this movie. Every actress was amazing and all the fight scenes were amazing. The characters were interesting and none of the roles were flat. There was also lots of humor. The car chase with the Fiat and the train sequence were my favorite things about the movie.

Unthinkably Good Things (2022)

Girlfriends are amazing!

This movie really was on the money for thinking about how important girlfriends are. It was a good clean ride into how friends help shape your life over time. I enjoyed watching how the bonds formed in adulthood and How supportive they were of each other. This is a movie everyone should watch with their gal pals and would also be a good book. I enjoyed watching the story build. Especially enjoyed the fashions and food and scenery for this film of travel in Italy. It was a beautiful movie if everyone finding true love and sisterhood being the theme. A decent clean movie with not a lot of drama.

The Hustle (I) (2019)

Horrible and making fun of blind people

This started off kind of smart but midway through one actress pretends to be blind as a part of a scheme. Ugh. Hated that they thought that would be okay. Not okay at all. The jokes are not funny at the expense of others. I really wish I knew before I started watching it because I probably would have passed on this one. There were funny moments but nothing is funny about pretending to be blind for a contest and a con game. Anne is such a good actress and Rebel too. I hope they can recover from this disaster of a film. Just horrible all around. I would not recommend it at all. Watch something else.

A Neighbor's Vendetta (2023)

great suspense

I enjoyed this movie. It kept my attention and was not predictable at all. This movie reminds me of a book I read this summer but the neighbor and flashbacks make it a good plot twist. Didn't think the main character had no idea he was married. She was doing dirty too. The boomerang got her after all. I think the husband was too accepting of a perfect stranger. She could've spent the night jn her own house. Then he allowed her to get him drunk and tie him up. Sheesh. What a way to go out. I did like the suspense of the movie and the darkness of it all. Amazing no one ever called the police until the end. I would've been suspicious.

Mr. Church (2016)

People act strange around death.

This was such a good movie. So many layers to the dynamic in the relationships. Mr. Church was an excellent example of how dysfunctional situations can be dynamic. Wow. Just wow wow the ending was amazing. Hands! Wow. And when they met Jelly. I really enjoyed this movie. So many good lessons. Eddie Murphy was amazing in this film. I think this may be the best film I've seen him in. Self care message for me- paint, cook, read and play the piano. That's all the stuff that matters. Take care of those around you. That was the focus of his life.

The acting and storyline were good and how he took care of Charlotte as if she were his own.

The Jeffersons: The First Store (1980) Season 6, Episode 23

Vital history.

One of the most important episodes of the Jefferson's. Vital to watch and see how things were portrayed by Black families during that time who heard the news and mourned the loss. Louise was a maid at that time in the flashback. A really good episode to watch.

Corny if you want to watch a movie you've probably seen before. Very predictable. Rich man plays broke. Gets girl. Does something dumb. Loses girl. She forgets why she dumped him and he comes to the house and she magically gives him another chance and ends up finding out he's rich. They marry. We have seen this 1,242 times.

Horrible and the flashbacks are wack

This movie made no sense whatsoever. It was hard to keep up with the flashbacks and trying to figure out the time frame for all of the events. It started with me believing everything happened in one night but quickly you see flashbacks to the night and counseling sessions. So basically everyone was cheating on their current mate? Just horrible acting and a waste of time.

We have seen this story so many times. A playboy. His friends. One married or dedicated. One with a spicy wife. A I'm good looking woman who throws herself at him. Men talking slick about women and making everything about sexual attraction and their needs. It's not funny or super enjoyable but lacks a good plot. Just unoriginal in every way.

Great for just a rom-com with young people. Could've had a stronger storyline and been a little more developed but it was cute to watch and kept me interested. Love is often corny and cute and this gave us that.

This movie was a little predictable but good for just a night of romantic movie watching. The ending could have been better and developed more thoroughly. Lots of cast with random storylines that could have been explored like her friend with the cheater, her brother and her parents getting back together. It tried to explore too many things at once but couldn't tie it all together.

I wanted this to be funny but it wasn't. Too many places where the story leaves much to be desired. Just didn't make sense how a parole officer would even refer him for a paint job at the home or a judge or even be out in public with him. Silly story line.

She was killing people she didn't even have to kill and they jumped to the part where suddenly everyone discovered who she was. The plot was all over the place and unbelievable. This was rushed.

All the wife does is cry the whole movie? This was a horrible movie with no real common sense about why they did it and an unclear ending. Wendell Pierce was wasted in this film. He is too talented for this mediocre role of a father driving all around while avoiding his wife. The dynamic of the characters and the believability was at a zero for me. I only watched to see why the selected his daughter and to see how the movie would end but it's deleted from my memory already.

The Queen's Gambit (2020)

Excellent

This is the best series I've ever watched. I was drawn into how the character is able to survive genius and madness at once. She addicted to winning but can she win it all? Such a good series.

This movie was cute if you look past all the flaws such as the fact that they had to steal information from the church and from the hospital and then it seemed as if only this one high-powered investigator was able to get information in unethical ways. It was very predictable that her father would be a Black man and her mother would be a white woman. I did enjoy the movie and almost shed a tear when they reunited mother, father and child. It does paint an unrealistic picture of the happy ending though.

Favorite Son (2021)

You knew he would get caught up in some foolishness but this movie makes it seem like everyone in leadership in the church is grimy and that's not true. I don't like these kind of movies where the focus is so negative and there's a lot of sleeping around. A shame because it could've been better.

This movie was hard to watch because they lack chemistry. She kept disrespecting this grown man who was simply hired to do a job. The fruitcake idea is kinda lame too. I wish they had a better storyline.

They also have masks on in the movie which so so weird to see in a pandemic. So many films have been created during this time without masks. Not sure what happened to my review. This is a realistic account of what an unhoused mother goes through trying to get off the streets and secure a home for her and her child. It's sad to watch but realistically accurate.

The experience of so many. Grippingly tells the story of one mother's journey in trying to make it as an un-housed human in a harsh world. She wants to make ends meet and this movie depicts the hardships she faces.

Once Upon a River (2019)

Drawn in by the hope for survival

This was a beautiful story of courage and perseverance featuring a girl who dealt with many difficulties. I don't like how her mother was but that's life. She didn't even look back and had the nerve to ask if Cal asked for her or something. A part of me wanted Smoke to see the baby but I knew he'd be gone before the birth.

I would recommend it because it draws you in and you'll find yourself rooting for the main character.
