Willful Ambrose (1915)
ten minutes well spent
Delightful keystone comedy in which pa (ambrose) falls foul more than once to ma played wonderfully by louise fazenda. Henpecked and out of favour and being pestered by a somewhat simple daughter pa (played by mack swain) goes to try and replace a drinking vessel which he broke but gets into more trouble with a passing couple. Then is caught kissing the women by ma. This comedy is entertaining from start to finish and all the actors and actress's put in 100 percent. It is also a well planned and thought out movie and entertains throughout its ten minute length. it is full of things being thrown at people and people being hit over the head and provides the viewer with a bit of escapism.
Love Among the Millionaires (1930)
wonderful
I shall love this movie until the day I die. It was easy going, entertaining and funny. A must for Clara Bow fans she showed what a talented actress she was. her screen presence as usual was huge. There was and never will be anyone like her. she is the greatest. Clara Bow to me shines greater than any other female star of the last century and none this century so far have got the charisma she had. In this movie she not only had a good script but had many great supporting performances from the rest of the cast too. I could go on watching this film again and again and probably will. At seventy four minutes the movie is just about the right length and it kept me riveted to the screen throughout.
