Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom (1984)
Cultural inaccuracies, stereotypes and racism
This movie is just trash. The cinematic trope of "The White Savior"as a symbol of cultural superiority. Indiana Jones falls from the sky into this Indian village to find he's tasked as the only person capable of saving them all from the bag guys. Bad guys who serves Kali. Such ignorance! The inaccurate depiction of the Goddess Kali , who in reality is the Goddess of Change and Empowerment who only acts in the interest of overall positive change. She is not evil like this joke of a movie says. Insulting Indian people as savages brain eaters and eyeball soup lovers, it's such a idiocy. The plot is bad, and overall Spielberg is such an overrated director, most of his movies reflects his love for stupid stereotypes. Not worth watching, and this one is the worst installment in a trash saga, Indiana Jones is so bad.
Avatar: The Way of Water (2022)
Where is the plot?
So...it seems Cameron does a great job when it comes to special effects and photography, lately.
Well done.
I guess that justifies the long waiting since 2009 first movie.
He was so focused on that, he literally forgot to add an actual plot to the movie.
We saw something like 5 minutes of happy family in the beginning of the movie, then Bang! Back to the explosions sequences, with the dead bad guy back to life thanks to a brain backup the other bad guys kept in their servers, just in case. I got bored during the first 30 minutes. Then our great hero, to save his people from being attacked by bad guys, decided to take his family and flew, to go bother another clan, just because. I guess he didn't give a damn if the water clan got blasted for this...you can guess the rest. Weak plot, not very interesting. I don't get why Cameron decided to do a sequel, we didn't need it. Surely we don't need Avatar 3,4,5... Just spare us. I give 6/10 because Cameron is a good director and all, but this movie is pointless.
The Last of Us: Long, Long Time (2023)
10/10 One of the best episode of TLOS
If I could give this episode a higher rating, I would. 10/10 is highly deserved. After the frenetic and frightening pace of the second episode, we focused on what is beautiful about being human: Love, which is narrated in the purest, most elevated and most beautiful way possible. Bill and Frank actor's performances were outstanding, it was one of the most beautiful love stories I've seen in years. Without prejudice, stereotypes, these two people are just two men who find a way to enjoy the noblest feeling of all in a hopeless world.
Ratings 1/10 are absolutely nonsense. They are just the votes of a bunch of stupid homophobic users, who have only demonstrated their ignorance, bigotry and hatred.
This show is EPIC.
Thor: Love and Thunder (2022)
A missed opportunity
This film had great potential, unfortunately wasted to make way infinite jokes and pseudo-comic moments that interrupt, in my opinion, the continuity and immersion of the viewer into the story: Gorr, the killer of the gods. A beautiful script could have been done with this premise. But some changes were needed, in my opinion. Thor could have stopped being a fool from the beginning to the end of the movie, more subplots could have developed. Instead the result is a noisy, sometimes cringe movie. The part with Zeus/Russell Crowe was also very embarrassing. Positive note for Christian Bale, but his talent has been wasted in such a superficial plot. Natalie Portman excellent in the role of the Mighty Thor; otherwise, the movie is enjoyable in small sections, but disappointing overall. MCU/Disney believe that using the same card (Waititi) just because a movie (Ragnarok) came out great, can guarantee success. Not really, you know? In this movie, everything is exaggerated, the comic tempos, the music, the jokes (endless, endless jokes ...) in the end aren't even funny anymore. On the other hand, the great inclusiveness for Korg's fathers and Valkirya's dead girlfriend is very positive. This aspect could have been even better if the plot had been supported by decent dialogues and story development.
I must say that the whole phase 4 of the MCU is turning out to be a mega galactic disappointment, and the products of the TV series are enough proof of this. With the exception of Loki, WandaVision and as movie Spiderman - No Way movie, the rest of the products are really mediocre.
I kinda feel the magic finished with Endgame. They should really work harder to give the audience some good movies. Special effects and good feelings are not enough to make a good product.
L'homme blessé (1983)
Really, really bad.
Watched on Netflix a few days ago. This is not a movie for all people; this is my opinion, of course.
I feel like I literally wasted my time, and I was really disappointed at the end to be honest.
I get it was 1983...but in this movie homosexuality is shown as nothing more than a perversion, all characters are negative and disgusting, fat old ugly men drooling over boys.
So many nonsensical dialogues and scenes.
And...it's boring...so, so boring.
The protagonist is an insufferable and mentally ill boy. The others are just disgusting.
Never again, thank you very much.
Happy I didn't waste my money back in the days to rent this garbage.
American Horror Story: The Future Perfect (2021)
Seriosly...what happened to this show?
Wow...really, wow. What tf happened? Can't you write a decent story anymore? Zero creativity, the season finale has been as bad as the mid-season finale. We are really light years away from seasons like Murder House or Hotel, what the heck happened to you? This script seems to be written by monkeys, no offense to real monkeys. 1984 was just trash, but this one is as bad as it was. No connection between the first part of Red Tide and the second Death Valley as it was implied in first place instead. Both finales are hideous and nonsensical, just stupid endings. Is there really someone who pays someone to write this garbage? I believed, for a moment, during the "Blue Moon" episode that perhaps there would be hope of recovery in the finale of this disastrous tenth season. Instead, again, only disappointment. I guess you couldn't even write a decent unique themed season, so you ended up writing two half seasons, barely sketched, without refinement, or whatever connection, without the basic means to make a script a real story. Double Feature should be renamed Double Disappointment. Red Tide and Death Valley are both horrible...Sad. Just sad.
Black Widow (2021)
Not the best Marvel movie.
I think the movie is just another example of "wasted opportunity" for a character who has been of great importance in the now concluded Infinity Saga. Boring, predictable, bad script and bad CGI, absurd scenes for a "not enhanced character", and useless banter every few minutes. Scarlett has done better as Nat in the past. Yelena/Pugh is annoying most of the time. The character of Harbour is the most embarrassing and useless in the movie and together with Rachel Weisz they are the top one useless duo in the story. Their fake russian accent is ridiculous and their roles in the end are not even necessary. The role of the Taskmaster has been completely changed without reason. The cringe is a serious problem for 3/4 of the movie. The dialogues are not interesting, there is a very high risk of making the viewer fall asleep during more than one occasion (it happened to me). As a big marvel fan I can say that I am disappointed with this product, definitely not what I would have expected after all the waiting. Underwhelming and over the top at the same time, too long and boring, the inconsistency of many scenes, put there for the solely purpose of filling the cosmic void of an hopeless screenplay, is a great disappointment. The script seems to be written by amateurs.
Once Upon a Time in... Hollywood (2019)
Are you kidding me?
If this script was someone's else it wouldn't even reached theatres. I think it is boring, useless, pointless. Dialogues are...omg i cannot even say how damn boring they were...Just a waste of time. I'm disappointed I wasted my time watching it. 2/10 is too much, consider it a gift In honor of good old times...Meh.
Dark Phoenix (2019)
Don't waste your time
90% visual effects
8% plot
2% dialogue
Sophie Turner forgot she is not always Sansa Stark.
Horrible movie.
Aquaman (2018)
Another DC Fail.
Again Dc movies writers couldn't write a decent script. The dialogues are so stupid and pretentious, and frankly the protagonist is this big guy who never learn how to act. This movie is such a poorly thought CGI parade. Unappealing plot and such a waste of time.
Hereditary (2018)
What a waste of time
One of the worst movie I've seen in a while. Boring and worthless. What a waste of time.
