The Last Lear (2007)
No one can beat Mr. Amitabh Bachchan
Planman productions always came with different and unique topics and do their job brilliantly as does in this movie.I don't feel there is any one who can beat Amitabh bachchan in acting. He improves noticeably with each and every film. As his character demands, Amitabh gives a performance full of passion and vigor. Each scene is very nicely executed making it a pleasure to watch. The movie casts Mr. Amitabh Bachchan as a lead and he was awesome in his character. The story revolves around Harish Mishra, a retired Shakespearean theater actor who spent precisely thirty years and nine months on stage and then suddenly quit, and his first and last act as a cinema artist. He is immensely passionate about Shakespeare, believes that nothing even comparable can ever be written, knows all his plays by heart, lives in those stories, condemns modern cinema and considers theater as a much higher art form for directors and actors to convey their message to an audience.
Do Dooni Chaar (2010)
Teachers based issues !!!!
The movie actually deals with problems not usually dealt with in Indian movies, such as the modest salaries professional teachers get paid for their efforts and how this affects their image. The teachers, and their issue with their self-worth in the face of growing inflation and demands of their family. The middle-class school teacher who works overtime to support his income and to send his children to good schools, ends up in a moral dilemma, when it comes to fulfilling the needs of his ever unsatisfied teenage children. Rishi Kapoor and Neetu Singh are back on the screen with this super film after decades. To see both of them together was simply fabulous. They have given the roles and the film a very strong foundation with their presence.
Dosar (2006)
Simply love the movie
Dosar,a bengali movie that is based on the relationship between husband and wife.Dosar is one of the best film by Planman Motion Pictures. The production house has come out with many Bengali films but for me this one scores the best.I simply love this movie and more so because of the brilliant performance of Konkona Sen Sharma and Prosenjit Chatterjee. The two play the role of a happily married couple until Konkona, playing the role of Kaberi comes to know about her husband Kaushik's extra marital affair with his colleague, Mita. Mita and Kaushik meet a serious accident in which Mita dies while Kaushik survives with injuries. This is the point where the real drama begins.
Rok Sako To Rok Lo (2004)
Its completely different !!!
On hearing the story,I feel its not something new.But believe me guys, its completely different.I am huge movie buff and don't mind watching the oldest of films. And because I love films made on youngsters,I could not miss this one. It has many new actors like Yash Pandit,Manjari Fadnis ,Carran Kapur.Sunny Deol and Namrata Shirodkar are also a part of the film where they guide the youngsters. The story is really nice and interesting. It keeps you going throughout. It remains special for me because some of the moments and part of the story could be related to my own friend circle.Love watching it again & again whenever I get the chance to watch it.
I Am 24 (2010)
Brilliant job done by all !!!
The movie is about a 42 year old guy played by Rajat Kapoor falls in love with a girl who is almost half of his age.The movie is about the guy who wants to get the girl's love and for that he goes on to tell number of lies. After this point, the movie takes an interesting turn. This is one of the best performance given by Ranvir Shorey in his career till now.Not only Ranvir Shorey but all the other actors,.Neha Dhupia,Manjari and Rajat Kapoor, are also very good and done their job brilliantly.Everything in the movie is just perfect. One of my favorite song from the movie is 'Abhi Abhi Toh Mere Dil Mein' is a slow soothing track that will touch your heart. Lyrics are meaningful and manage to convey emotions of the protagonist.
