Alexander: The Making of a God (2024)
It's not great, but not terrible...
Though some of the history as presented in this docudrama is questionable, other parts are quite accurate. With this said, the show is not very exciting. It doesn't keep you wanting more. Those discussing the history of Macedon, Persia, Alexander and Darius are enjoyable to listen to, though again, some of what they say goes a bit against historical fact or 'best guesses'.
While history buffs may enjoy it to a point, others are going to be bored. The battles and discussions of them are interesting enough, but what's in between tends to be a bit tedious.
The speeches/narration by the Egyptian woman are just plain annoying. They should never have included that.
The Man Who Came Back (2008)
Awful film
It's not the worst movie I've ever seen, but close to it. The acting is comically awful, the characters are poorly written, the dialog is a joke, the cinematography terrible, and the plot itself is so ridiculous it could only exist in a terrible film like this. And Armand Assante? How sad it is to see a once respected and talented actor being reduced to garbage like this.
If you want to see an example of how bad a film can be, this is one to do it with, but only watch it if it's free, as I would never recommend wasting money on it. Yes, it's really that bad.
And the title? I'm sure that was a real brainstorming session!
The Life & Death of Tupac Shakur (2021)
Just okay
It gives the basic story of his life, like many other documentaries about Tupac do, but it doesn't do it very well. It's as if they filled some of the documentary with parts left over from other documentaries. Parts that weren't very important, or were less important than what should have been said or included. The voiceover artist is also quite bad, mispronouncing names, occasionally using odd stress patterns and highlighting for impact the wrong words or sections of sentences. It's as if this person had never voiced over a film before, and even worse, wasn't at all familiar with Tupac, nor some of the most important events and aspects of his life.
If you're a Tupac fan you might enjoy it, but I'd only bother with it if it's free to watch. I wouldn't waste money renting it.
Gotti (2018)
Awful
Quite possibly one of the worst films I have ever seen. Inept dialog, acting and writing has made this film, and I use the term "film" loosely, a train wreck. Some scenes are downright laughable. It's just a terrible movie, and I've seen quite a few terrible movies.
I don't know that it's THE worst film I've ever seen, but it's most definitely awful.
Redcon-1 (2018)
Don't waste your time.
There wasn't a thing about this movie that was any good. The direction was awful, the acting sub par, and it's far too long for what it is. The action scenes were also a joke. Some of the deaths were supposed to be emotional, but they were instead laughable. Its just a really bad movie and a complete waste of your time.
We Need to Talk About Sandy Hook (2014)
Typical conspiracy theorist, hoaxer drivel.
Pseudo documentary by hoaxers making numerous claims that have been thoroughly debunked.
