While Hollywood movies are my go-to, I enjoy the occasional Hindi and Korean movies as well. I find these movies to be unique and refreshing, and I love exploring different cultures through cinema. As an admirer of Bengali movies, I have a keen eye for storytelling, and I appreciate the nuances of cinema. The way a story is told through a movie is truly an art form, and I love analyzing and discussing the different techniques used.
One of the things I find most exciting about movies is their ability to transport us to different worlds and time periods. Whether it's a modern-day action movie or a period piece set in a different era, I'm always amazed by the way movies can make us feel like we're actually there. I also love how movies can make us think and feel deeply about various issues and topics. There's nothing like a good movie that leaves you pondering about life, love, and the human experience.
I'm always on the lookout for new movies to watch and discuss, so if you have any recommendations, feel free to reach out! Stick around, and let's dive into the world of movies together!

Last Defenders of Monogamy (2024)
Navigating the 21st Century Romance: A Must-Watch Drama!
Just watched the movie on Chorki and wow, it's a gem.
First off, the story hooks you right from the beginning. Farooki's directing is top-notch as usual, and Chanchal Chowdhury absolutely killed it playing Shafkat. But the real surprise? Xefer Rahman. She's phenomenal as Lamia especially as a newcomer.
The story's so gripping, mixing real dilemmas with that classic Farooki touch. The entire film is this very relatable take on love and loyalty, totally hooked me. It's not just another drama; it feels real, dealing with modern relationships without being preachy.
Honestly, it's a solid 9/10 for me. Definitely worth your time.
La casa de papel (2017)
How I Survived the Heist: A Tale of Time Lost and Speed-Watched Seasons!
Let me write the most authentic and true to life summary/review of Money Heist.
I started watching the series with great hope, and it took only first 3 episodes for me to realize that its a slowwww series, full of unnecessary storyline only to extend (what could have been) a 2 hours movie into a 48 episode series spanning 5 seasons. Despite of that I decided to continue watching the entire first season, and as expected, I was severely disappointed. I then decided to watch an 20 minute explainer video on YouTube to understand the 2nd season, and guess what? It was equally (if not more) disappointed. I decided to continue watching the 20 minute explainer videos of the remaining seasons, but this time with 2X playback speed and was basically waiting for all the 5 seasons to end.
The series is full of over-glorified coincidences and irrationally absurd twists. I do not recommend this series to anyone.
Animal (2023)
Worst movie I have ever seen in my life. BOSTAPOCHA!
I, being a movie lover, have watched a couple thousand movies at this point, ranging from English to Hindi to Korean to German to Tamil to Telegu to Bengali to French. And I can confidently say that ANIMAL is officially the worse movie that I have ever seen in my life. I ama amazed how movies like these end up being a blockbuster that too in 2024. It's a terrible movie full of false male stigma, oversaturatedly glorified manhood and sex. Nobody should watch the movie ever. Such a terrible and shameless director and his rotten movie plot!! Regretting spending 200 minutes of my life on this terrible movie. 0/10.
Surongo (2023)
Surongo" A Must-Watch Bengali Thriller with Stunning Cinematography
If you're looking for a gripping and entertaining Bengali thriller, "Surongo" directed by Raiahn Rafi and starring Afran Nisho is a movie that you definitely shouldn't miss.
The cinematography in this film is absolutely stunning, with each and every scene beautifully shot and presented with the utmost care. The production value is impressive, and the direction and performances are on point, which adds to the overall appeal of the movie.
What makes "Surongo" stand out is the perfect combination of suspense, humor, and romance. The storytelling is engaging and keeps the audience hooked until the very end. The plot twists are well-executed and keep you guessing until the final reveal.
Overall, I highly recommend "Surongo" to anyone who enjoys thrilling and suspenseful movies. It's a must-watch for those who want to be entertained and engaged from start to finish.
Syndicate (2022)
Does not live up to the expectations for those who are coming from the Myself Allen Swapon series.
Syndicate strars with a good plot but eventually loses its appeal at the mid of the series and eventually leads to a mediocre ending. Could have been better.
Needless to mention that the storytelling is somewhat slow and monotonous. Viewers may lose the interest to keep watching the remaining episodes of the show as a consequence.
However, I must appriciate everything from the direction to the cinematography to the acting to the music. It's good to see that the Bengali creative industry is bouncing back and coming back vividly, stronger than ever. And hopefully the industry as a whole will grow more in the coming days ahead.
Myself Allen Swapan (2023)
The Nasir Uddin Khan Show
I recently had the pleasure of watching the TV series "Myself Allen Swapon" and I have to say, I absolutely loved it! The show had me hooked from the very first episode and I couldn't stop watching until I had seen every single one.
The standout performer for me was Nasir Uddin Khan who plays the lead role of Allen Swapon. His portrayal of the character was nothing short of amazing. Nasir Uddin Khan's acting was so convincing that I found myself completely invested in the character's journey. He brought such depth and emotion to the role, and I was blown away by his performance in every scene.
The show itself was brilliantly written and directed, with a perfect blend of drama, humor, and suspense. The supporting cast also did a fantastic job, but Nasir Uddin Khan's performance truly stood out and stole the show.
Overall, I would highly recommend "Myself Allen Swapon" to anyone looking for a captivating and well-made TV series. And if you're a fan of great acting, then you absolutely won't want to miss Nasir Uddin Khan's incredible performance in this show.
Karagar (2022)
Speechless. Breathtaking. Chanchal Chowdhury.
Such an amazing series, hard to believe it's a desi content. From the plot to the casting to the mystery, it's on levels with some of the most praised international serieses out there on the internet. Top notch. Excellent. Couldn't expect more. Looking forward to the next season.
Hawa (2022)
Sets a new benchmark for the Bengali Film Industry 💫
Absolutely amazing theater experience. Everything from acting, story, color grade, cinematography, casting, music composition is top notch. Couldn't be happier! Highly recommend!!!
Bajirao Mastani (2015)
There's a plot in the hole.
Not recommend. There's holes everywhere and bits of plots here and there... scattered!!!!!! Not worth the time. Funny VFX, poor storytelling, overall not enjoyable.
Chhutir Ghonta (1980)
Nice plot, but wat too lengthy.
The plot is quite small but the movie is almost 2 and a half hours in length. Fails to drag the attention of the audience and plot is somewhat guessable as well.
Pather Panchali (1955)
There's only a handful of movies that portrayed the Bengali culture as this movie did.
Truly a splendid movie. Exceeded my expectations from every aspect.
365 dni (2020)
Horrible 🤢
It was sooooooo bad that I literally had to pray for the movie to finish after the second half.
The Perks of Being a Wallflower (2012)
I was at these pint where I got confused how much to rate the movie
It's a very nice movie
I couldn't connect myself better but I know there's so many who can
