One More Attempt (2013)
If you like spies then you'll like this...
After reading The Cuban Lightening: The Zipper,I felt compelled to watch One Last Attempt and what an interesting watch it was. To see Dr. Marmol's life from his own perspective, immortalised onto film has made me very aware of the freedom fighter's world that happens all around us. How do I know that the next person I meet isn't a freedom fighter of some kind? And how do I know that I haven't already met one? I'm also very amazed and equally impressed that one man would risk his life on so many occasions for something that he truly believes in. By one man fighting for freedom the way he has,it could and almost certainly has, changed the lives of so many other people.
The Lost School (2011)
Kris Smith does it again....
Having had the pleasure of working with the director of this short film,I can safely say that he is a very talented man and I truly believe he has the brilliance to go far. It comes across clearly in this film that's set in the early nineteen forties. It's very believable, not that I was around in them days but it's exactly the way I would picture it to be and nothing seemed unreal. The film tells a very moving story and at points, even had me close to tears and the film portrays, very well, the difficulties of life in them days and how people lived together as a community. There is also some brilliant acting throughout, from the lead actress to the featured extras, they all play their parts very well and give very convincing performances.
