Pacific Rim Uprising (2018)
disappointing, but not completely awful.
As a stand alone film, Pacific Rim: Uprising would be decent, but coming from what (in my opinion) is a brilliant film with so much involved, a sequel would be expected to continue with the same standards, unfortunately not, thus the disappointment. however, it's not like the film was displeasing at all, because as i said it was not completely awful.
Red Band Society (2014)
unrealistic, but still great! best for teens
Many bad reviews of red band society are based upon the fact that the show isn't similar to real life, but does it really have to be?
the show deals with many different things in parallel, and doesn't manage to mess it up. it doesn't present itself as being realistic at all, it's entertainment that's why.
this show is fantastic, and you get so so attached to the characters (so much so that there may be a few cries).
red band society is definitely more of a teens show, as that's the target audience, so don't expect too much from something that isn't meant to be complex and factual.
13 Reasons Why: Bye (2018)
horrific, disturbing.
There was a completely unnecessary scene that i won't go into any detail about. all i will say is that despite me being able to put up with most (even the suicide scene in the first season) this one scene in the bathroom induced a large panic attack and uncontrollable shaking and crying. it was awful, and the scene was completely unnecessary
How I Live Now (2013)
Artistically spectacular, BUT...
This film was gorgeous. From the visuals, to the filming, even down the wonderful acting of those involved. It was definitely powerful and moving.
That said, the only negative to this film is that it can put you in a certain mood. It's bleak, realistic. And it certainly weighs on you.
However, I would strongly recommend this to everyone.
