L'uomo della valle maledetta (1964)
Mediocre
Quite an unusual 1964 drama masquerading as proto-spaghetti-western and dealing with issues of racism towards Native Americans and the interracial marriage of a white woman and "Indian" man 3 years before GUESS WHO'S COMING TO DINNER.
Spanish-Italian production starring Ty Hardin as a guy helping an unfortunate couple deal with her racist father while a bunch of bloodthirsty Natives chasing them. Action is pretty lame and serves as background to a drama/romance plot.
Overall pretty mediocre movie if not for an unusual theme. "Indians" have very thick 5 o'clock shadows and women wearing heavy 60's style makeup-just an interesting bit in the proto-spaghetti-western genre.
Don't Look Up (2021)
So stunning and brave!
Don't Look Up is the cinematic equivalent of Madonna making video messages at the start of the pandemic telling the newly unemployed that she is "in the same boat with them". Narcissistic spoiled rich people from one political camp managed to film a completely clumsy satire on narcissistic spoiled rich people from another political camp. A satire as sharp as a golf ball and as deep as a puddle in a parking lot. The Lego people plucked up the courage to tell us about the dangers of plastic.
Undateable (2014)
Lame
It's a show about a bunch of incredibly lame and unbelievably annoying characters and one somewhat cool guy with personality called Danny. During 3 seasons run these cringe characters trying to change Danny and make him just another faceless NPC. Yes, it's Happy Days all over again. Btw, the third season is recorded live and consists of childish improvisations, non-existent plot and a lot of uninteresting musical guests like some guy called Ed Sheeran. Seriously, who listens to this faceless music? Nevermind, first season was okayish, but overall pretty lame and unfunny show without focus or direction.
Torrejón City (1962)
Horribly Bad Roots of Spaghetti Western
One of the early examples of the so-called Spaghetti Western genre this Comedy Western starring Spanish comedian Tony LeBlanc playing two opposing characters, one is short-sighted and cowardly cowboy named Tim the Good and other being aggressive and fear-inducing bandit called Tim the Bad. Most comedy situations in this movie based on the fact that both leads are look alikes which, if done good, could bring some laughs. Sadly, it's not the case here. I watched this movie in Spanish with English subtitles and maybe something was lost in translation, but it was unbelievably unfunny, uninspired and boring movie. Can be interesting only for somebody interested in the roots of Spaghetti Western genre. Others can skip and forget about it.
