Hitched for the Holidays (2012)
suckered in
I really like joey Lawrence as an actor and when i seen that he was going to be in this movie i just had to watch it. The holidays are stressful and very lonely if you have no one special to share them with, I'm always single on the holidays so i know. This movie had a sweet twist in it being that the man was doing this online arrangement for his dying grandma and not just to show off to his buddies. THe other thing that i thought was funny is how drunk he got at the work Christmas party. You knew they were going to end up together because thats just how these movies go, but the funniest part of all is that at the end he finally made one of his mothers "visions" come true. I recommend this movie to anyone who like a laugh and a good looking actor, or can relate with a crazy family.
Love at the Christmas Table (2012)
alright
Me and my mom have this tradition that every year we record a bunch of Christmas movies, mostly on the hallmark channel and lifetime. They are something to watch when nothing else is on, the only rough part is trying to figure out which ones you have seen already. This movie was a new TV release so we figured we would record it and see what it was all about. All in all in was a nice little movie about two kids who knew each other all their lives and were destined to be with each other, they just needed to figure that out. There were some parts i wasn't really sure of, like why the Christmas party was always at this other lady's house, but i guess it was just part of the movie. I would recommend this movie to anyone who has a soft spot for Christmas movies like me, it has some funny parts and some romantic parts but all in all it tells a good story.
Wreck-It Ralph (2012)
this movie blows
Me and a friend went to this movie and were highly disappointed! The previews are funny and cute, but when you start watching it just gets dull. They got all the aspects of the arcade down and how things travel and so forth, so you were never lost, well for what i saw anyways. I walked out part way through the movie. The main thing that i got from the movie is Disney was pushing a lesson on kids, like they always do, except in this case, i didn't like the message that was introduced. To me it seemed that ralph was unliked and seen as a mean guy because of his appearance and the fact that he didn't have a medal. To me its not something i would want pushed on to children, then again maybe the ending teaches something completely different, i just wasn't going to wait for that.
Baby's Day Out (1994)
Best movie ever!!
I will try not to ruin anything because i highly recommend that each person find this movie and buy it. I used to have it on VHS and my brother and i wore that out so about 5 years ago we found it in a bin at walmart marked $5 and that was just not right, so we saved it. A couple weekends ago he brought his kids over for the weekend and they wanted to watch a movie so i suggested this one. My niece fell asleep but my 4 year old nephew couldn't stop watching. He laughed almost the whole time. There is no better movie then a baby out smarting four grown adults out for some quick cash. The movie itself would hopefully never be plausible but it is good entertainment for the whole family. Just don't make it a nap time movie, most kids will not fall asleep, i learned the hard way.
American History X (1998)
amazing
Without a doubt this would have to be the movie that I have no problem watching a million times in my life. I understand that it's an acquired taste but everything about it just seems so real. It helps to know a little bit about the world history and not be close minded to things that actually happened. The characters are just so rightfully played and the voice of derek when he tells how things are and gives you a glimpse of things that are going on, wow! it just puts the whole situation into perspective, he is seems so calm and collected and such a little guy but really he has a huge heart and a point to make. I have cried, laughed and been a little dismayed with parts of this movie, but never would i ever not watch it. I recommend this movie to people old enough to understand that meaning of it, the lines shaded behind the looks and actions of the characters. It will, if nothing else, stay in your memory whether you want it there or not, some things just can't be un seen, or un heard.
American Reunion (2012)
alright
While I was not laughing till my guy hurt like I'm normally doing for these movies, it still had a lot of good parts. It was nice to see how everyone grew up and that most of them were still up to the same old nonsense. Part of me wished that Stifler would have grown up a little bit, because personally he always just bugged the heck out of me. Some parts were a little to predictable, like, of course the fact chick in high school lost a bunch of weight and looks incredible now, and it only would happen in the movies that the girl you used to babysit wants you to be her first and then you say nothing about the whole thing to your wife!! I recommend this movie to anyone who has seen the American pie movies, or at least one of them. Its still a good laugh.
Nashville (2012)
not what i expected
I never really seen the previews to the show, but my mom made me record it. When i thought about it though, i was thinking that there would be murder or something in it, just going off what our normal shows are. While the characters are good, and the songs are nice, it just seems to be a show that drags on for an hour. THere is a lot that i still don't know about the characters and sometimes that makes you want to keep watching but in this show, they don't give you enough to make you want to. You have no idea about what their lives were before, and each episode it comes out a little bit, but not enough to make you curious for more.
What to Expect When You're Expecting (2012)
entertaining
This wasn't completely what i was expecting when i rented it, but not too disappointed. I watched it with a friend and since i was pregnant he constantly looked over at me and said is that true. Some things applied to me, but most things that they were saying just made me want to scream. I loved the part when mrs.cooper cracked and told the whole audience at her speech the "ugly truth" about being pregnant. I also loved the guys in the baby group. Im actually nervous about the things that the father wont tell me happened when they were together, mostly because he has never been with a kid before, but when its on a movie its hilarious.
Bones (2005)
check this out if you like....
Me and my mom stumbled across this show some 2 years ago. We fell in love and in awe with that random episode that we waited a whole year to watch it again. the reason for the wait was we had to DVR all previous episodes and watch it from the beginning. I also Booth and Brennan would come together and I am glad they finally have, many times yelling at the TV. If you like a murder mystery show, like csi, ncis, cold case..this is a good show too. If you can't stomache gore, i don't recommend tuning in. If you like a little comedy with your murder than this is good. Between the father of Brennan's best friend being a hippie and her man being her partner, and an oops coming along the way this show had it all. Almos always Brennan tells it like it is,shes so smart that she doesn't know how to stop herself. LOVE LOVE LOVE this show, and if you haven't watched it you need to!!
Backyard Wedding (2010)
overall review
The movie starts out and doesn't even tell you how Kim's first marriage broke up. So while her and the new fiancé are having problems your screaming "just dump him and go back to Evan." Of course your not completely sure because maybe thats exactly what Evan, the ex, was doing to her to. Trust me if i was in her position there would be no way i would plan the wedding completely by myself and then just let my fiancé show up whenever it was convenient for him. When Jeff first started telling me that he wasn't going to be there for a couple days because his job was more important i would have been mad, probably understood the staying behind, but the going to a different state 5 days before the wedding i would have been mad, on the brink of finding someone else to stand with me at the alter. Apparently he didn't mention to his boss to have someone cover for him because he was getting married and if he couldn't' even tell him boss that then whats going to happen when the first baby comes, or the second, or the third.... All in all the movie went the way we knew it was going to go. Very happy to finally see the love birds from sixth grade together but it would have been a better ending if they would have fast forwarded like five years to them in some third world country, her helping as a doctor and him helping with the water.
