Michael Rispoli
18 August 2022
I have been a fan of Michael Rispoli for many years, but this performance of a mentally challenged man is outstanding. I have met a few like him in my life, and he is spot on. He did not receive an Emmy nod, but he deserved one.

Mark Margolis gives great performances, and people do not know how good he is. I have watched him over several decades, and he always does a great job. This episode is just one example.

Christina Brucato is excellent
30 March 2022
She runs the gamut of emotions and moods, and is very believable. I have seen her in other shows, and she always turns in great performances. Hopefully soon, her star will rise.

Last scene.
2 February 2022
Warning: Spoilers
The last scene where Gigi listens on the stethoscope, and says "Hi mommy" just hit me like a truck.

I don't know if Conrad told her it was her mothers heart, but the reaction was perfect. And. Remington Blaire Evans steals the scene.

Tamara Taylor

Tamara used to be my neighbor in Los Angeles. She is such a beautiful woman, and a genuinely nice person. Why do they have her wearing those obvious, ugly wigs?

Great movie, best soundtrack ever.
26 December 2021
This is a great movie, with, in my opinion, the best movie ending. The fight scene is brutal, violent, and and fitting. Chingachgook reaping his vengeance for Magua killing his son is amazing.

And, the best movie soundtrack ever. If Trevor Jones was not so ethical, (He admitted bringing on a collaborator well into composing it, making it ineligible for Oscar), he would have won for soundtrack hands down.

Ellen Burstyn was excellent
1 October 2021
I watched my father journey into dementia, and eventually being diagnosed with Alzheimers. Watching Ellen on this episode, it brought back memories of him. She was very convincing, and did not overplay the role at all.

Sipowitz surgery
16 December 2020
Having gone through a similar procedure, watching Andy go through his fears of having surgery, and the beginning of his recovery is one of the most realistic portrayals of this situation I have seen. Dennis is not a pretty boy, but his talent was immense. His retirement is a loss to the acting world.

Mandy Moore just keeps getting better.
15 January 2020
Watching her this season in her "Mature Rebecca" role as she is getting forgetful, and in this episode, I see exactly what I saw in the early 80s with my father. He was eventually diagnosed with Alzheimer's.

The teen pop singer has turned into one of the finest actors around, and hopefully will continue to get even better.

She just does an amazing job as an addict mother. Watch her as she goes through the stages of withdrawal.

Mandy was just amazing.
6 March 2019
She has been snubbed by the Emmy's long enough. I hope the members of the TV academy watch this episode. As good as the other performances were, and they were very good, Mandy however, just shined. People, she is not the pop star from 15 years ago, she is one of the best actors working today.

Jolene
30 October 2018
The scene where Jolene (Jenny Robertson) finds out she has HIV is so raw and real. This was in the days when it was still a death sentence, and her reaction was perfect.

The Doc.

As good as this episode is, the few minutes of Gerald McRaney consoling Mandy Moore at the repast was, for me, the highlight of it. Their interaction was so touching and real.

Just WOW
24 February 2017
If this episode does not get to you, you have no soul. This show is the complete package that everything else on TV, cable, and any other outlet as to look at and and be very, very jealous of. Ron gives an acting lesson on every episode, and on this one, I am truly sad to see him go. I hope they have flashbacks and remembrances of him on future episodes.

The casket in tonight's episode.
27 November 2014
This episode revolved around an old killing that had happened decades before. They dug up the casket of a Jewish sailor that had been buried for 40 years. Jewish burials are done with wood caskets and no burial vaults, so the remains are returned to the earth as quickly as possible.

After 4 decades, the casket would have degraded, and there would be nothing but bones in the grave when opened.

"For dust you are and to dust you shall return."

This is a glaring mistake that should have been caught before the episode aired. I know the writers took some literary license, but...
