I didn't know what the movie was about. Someone at a wedding told me it was good. I remembered the movie title some 2-years later and said, ok, let's give it a go. So happy I did! The story carried my attention from start to end and I have to admit, movies don't do that very often. Just a great movie and the fact that it was based on a true story gives it even more oomph! After the movie, I did some research and found some of the soldiers interviews, It turns out the movie is pretty accurate, which I'm happy it is, as it tells the story with little Hollywood interpretation and gives the heroes their story. Of course, the lingering piece that a lot of people get bent out of shape over is the controversy of why help was not sent. Michael Bay really wanted the viewer to be upset over it. We still don't know for sure at this point and may never know. I suspect it has to do with a larger war possibly breaking out if American war ships entered this airspace, so as much as POTUS and Hilary wanted to help, I think in their mind it might leads to a larger conflict affecting more Americans.

If you followed GME during the pandemic, you'll enjoy this documentary. It really adds to the news stories during that time. What I really cringe about with this flick is how crazy these investors were. Gamestop is a dying business and the only reason why it went up was because of the revolution, not because there was research that suggested the company stock should be higher. These people should have been selling portions on the way up. A lot of these people just thought of selling or holding everything. For some, it was a terrible mistake. Be weary that this documentary doesn't take a neutral stance, but 100% favors the retail investors.

Like a Jackie Chan movie, you need to put aside some silliness and just enjoy. This is one of those movies. Some of the dialogue is ridiculous as are the fights. The wardrobe is also silly especially based on today's standards. Going off today's skateboarding skills, the tricks are also underwhelming. Al that said, this is a period film. It fit the 1980s. For those of us alive in the 80's this is part of the culture during that time and watching it again today bring me back to those innocent times in such a perfect way. This movie will always have a special place in my heart. I just read that the main female lead passed away a few years ago at what I would call too early. I obviously don't know her, but the film was a part of my youth and so it makes me sad to know the rough news. In a more light-hearted subject, it's pretty frickin cool that the main lead in this movie ultimately becomes Thanos.

The movie has so much potential with the magnificent scenery and the backdrop of a wedding on the horizon, but the main actress was so annoying it got in the way of the movie taking on a more romantic special feel. It would have been better if they fell in love scene by scene as opposed to her pricking at the actor every 3 minutes for most of the movie. WOW, this was an annoying movie. It was hard to watch and certainly re-watch. Is this a Hallmark movie plot recipe where the woman nags the guy until they magically fall in love? How unrealistic. If this wasn't filmed in Hawaii, I'd probably drop the movie rating to 3 stars.

What a lovely movie that takes me way back to a beautiful time period where people were innocent and pure. I loved growing up on this movie. It had even more significance as I studied Cyrano de Bergerac in high school and saw this movie right after. This movie makes me sleepy in a good way. Not for reasons of boredom, but because I am transported to this beautiful little town. I have watched this movie over and over again and all I can say is I fall more in love with it each time. If you stop to appreciate the moments in the movie, you will also agree. It's a beautifully made movie.
Side note: In the 80's we would classify Chris as being "nervous" when in the presence of Roxanne and we would say it's perfectly normal and nothing to discuss further. Today, we would more accurately say Chris had a social anxiety disorder and he needs to get help. It's so interesting that what we didn't know before is so clear today.

Have loved Stanley's acting work over the years, but this is by far his pinnacle. If you asked him, he would probably say the same. This show is such a delight. I discovered it late in the pandemic stay at home period and it was another bright moment of the day watching this show during those dark dark days. The show takes you through the many regions of Italy and it shows that there really are differences! Some who don't know much about Italy will be able to discover how varied the people and places are around the country. Watching the show, not only am I inspired to go back to Italy, but to also be more adventurous with my own cooking. This show is such a delight!

The story is written in the light that the kid(s) is to be celebrated. In any other movie this would be a dark movie with a nationwide manhunt. It's not a good story and should be frowned upon. We can't celebrate this. These kids are ridiculous. There's like zero sense. At some point one of the "smart" kids would have said, "hey, this could be really dangerous" and try and stop this whole thing. And what's up with the girlfriend supporting theft and being an accomplice. Super annoying. All that said, yeah, the movie was so outlandish that it was able to keep my attention. Still hate the movie and don't plan to watch it a second time.

Made money at the box office, but it's not that good. Don't let those dollars fool you. Most of the time you can assume people are watching for a reason, but this is a unique situation. I think people paid up to go to the movies because of history, curiosity, and an expectation that the Avatar 1 magic will reappear. We'll it's got the flavor, but the story is underwhelming and predictable. I'm glad I didn't paid to see it in the movies. I've started and had to stop the movie 5 times and I'm still only 1:30 into it. The movie does not need to be over 3 hours long. No way! If this story was a college project it would get an F for lacking focus. I want to give the movie a 5, but the animation is worth rounding up.

Just a random Netflix day checking out what's available. With a title a bit vague like this it's hard to really know what I'm getting. This movie gets you hooked fast. I must have missed the news when this event took pace over 10 years ago. I've actually been to Oslo some years after this event and now that I know about this event I think differently about the country and everything they had to go through. This is an intense movie. I really don't know why this movie never took off. It looks like they spent 20 million to make it, but it only made 8 million back. If you like movies like Zero Dark Thirty, this has a similar feel and intensity. I would.

Probably an 8 in my book, but the 5.5 star rating here is way too low so I feel the need to correct the stupid people here and bump up a notch. This was really good suspense and action. If you like Salt, you'll like this and more! Usually I have some critique of Jennifer Lopez movies, but she was very good in this movie. She looked tough and seemed to look like she knew what she was doing in al the action scenes. I know she has stunt people, but the places where she was clearly doing it, she nailed it. I'd recommend this movie to any of my friends. Go watch it! You won't be disappointed. Enjoy the movie!
Overpriced Sci Fi Non Marvel Movie

Marvel has been producing crap after crap since End Game. This movie falls in line. What is going on over there at Marvel. Did al the writers retire after End Game? This is an over priced sci fi movie that doesn't resemble what we all love about Marvel. The best part of the movie is the first 10 minutes where we get a good dose of Paul Rudd personality which is always on point. After that, the movie goes to crap quick. Why??? Please, Marvel, stop this ridiculous madness. Soooooo glad I didn't pay to watch this in the theaters. Movie after movie, Marvel continues to disappoint. Love and Thunder....crap. Multiverse Madness....crap. Eternals.....total crap.

Other than the nice special effects and cool scenery, I don't see the point in giving this a high rating. This is a 6.5 at best without the end credits scene. That put it up to a 7. Let's be honest, other than Spideman No Way Home, Marvel has been a massive dumpster fire since End Game. I can appreciate some of the special effects in this movie, but some of the story line is just way too silly. The villain, as an example, has flapping wings on his ankles??? Come on man......seriously? Someone needs to be fired over that stupid detail. A lot of Disney movies are overplaying to that Disney youth viewer and that's ruining the true potential of these movies. Let's get back to a serious Marvel movie. I'm so glad I didn't pay to see this flick. I would have felt like it was not money well spent. It's passable, but no where close to being one of the better Marvel movies. If you are a fringe Marvel fan, I'd recommend you pass on this and spend your time elsewhere. The people that super love this movie tend to be super Marvel fans that blindly think all Marvel movies are amazing. They just don't have the clarity in their brains to see what's in front of them.

I don't throw 10 stars around often on IMDB, but this movie is excellent. I didn't expect much when I first caught the movie on TV. The more I watched the move I got hooked on the out of this world suspense. The concept of "gravity" is so perfectly selected for not only the obvious lack of "it" in space, but for the gravity of the dire situation, as well as the weight on her mind from the difficulties. As the character moves through the movie she learned to get back on her feet until the final scene where she is able to stand on her own two feet, gravity and all. This is a great movie for those who need a good example of hanging in there and not giving up.

The creative team got too caught up in their echo chamber of "I'm too cool for school" to realize that their project was off the rails. It makes an attempt to be a high budget Pulp Fiction, but the result is just over-priced pulp. More...how do you have a story in Japan and only have 20% of the main actors Japanese??? Also, how do you make all this noise and break all these things without anyone in the train questioning all the chaos? I started clock watching midway through the movie ready to get off the train myself. Perhaps the only saving grace is the neon backdrop of Japan styling that makes for cinematic interest.

I first saw this in the middle of the stay at home crap we all went through. The first time I saw it I really liked it, but maybe thought I gave it too much credit as I was bored out of my mind during the pandemic. Just watched it again today and I liked it even more!
The action is off the charts and the background neon nightlife of Japan really add that Tron-esque digital flavor. Surprisingly, a nearly 40 year old actress with no combat training pulls off the action flawlessly. The fight scenes are Jackie Chan interesting and unique.
My only complaint is that the movie would have been better if they would not have (trying not to spoil) set up the main actress with an "issue". It would have been better as a purely revenge movie where the actress had her full set of skills and abilities. This is like watching your favorite sports team without the fan favorite players playing, or playing at full strength. It's just less satisfying.

First let me say I love that history was made on Season 23 and a person of African decent won. It's very cool that this finally happened after over 20 years. That said, I do wonder if this now forces the show to put ethnicity limits on groups of people to be on the show, so everyone is at an equal starting point. For example, 2 Asians, 2 Indians, 2 Latinos, etc. They already did this with male to female ratio already. It's a complete disadvantage for a single person of a certain ethnicity, lets say Polynesian, as there are not that many to begin with let alone those going on shows. If you don't make the participant groups equal from the starting line, doesn't it become obvious how the show ends? The Asian guy on the show in season 23, as an example, had to forge his own connections as there are no other Asian people from that season, so it's a huge disadvantage from the start for him. I think the show loses some excitement if the starting line isn't the same9 or super close, for every person.

Awesome movie! It's like Captain America Civil War meets James Bond. You can see the finger prints of the Russo Brothers all over this movie. They did a great job on the other movies and this is no exception. I like that they were able to push the violence limit that Marvel prevents. It's all the action you want with modern creativity, effects, and dialogue. Al the leads did a great job. I had no issues watching this movie al the way through with all my attention zoned in on it. No real dings on the movie. It's hard to see anything wrong with it. I have recommended it to my friends and the same goes for all of the people of IMDB. Watch it! You won't regret it.

It's an awesome movie, and could have gotten an even higher rating, but it's got some flaws. First, the good part. It's basically a Transformer movie without robots. Not surprising as it's a Michael Bay movie. Lot's of cars flying all over the place, lots of suspenseful music, and a lot of characters yelling at each other. I have 2 main issues with the film. 1) Why would you go into a bank robbery without masks??? 2) In most situations, the cops would have boxed in a car by mid-movie, especially a non-agile ambulance. All said, I can still recommend the movie, especially for action movie buffs.

Somehow they (the director) turned a can't lose big budget Marvel film into a goofy movie that destroyed characters and Marvel history. I had to watch this in four separate segments because I got bored and had to turn it off a bunch of times. I finally made it through the whole movie and I'm pretty disappointed. I thought the new Dr. Strange movie was bad, but this is worse. The only redeeming part of this movie is that the special effects were still decent. Anyone who paid full price to watch this at the movies theaters must be mighty Thor pissed. If you are still waiting to watch this I'd advise waiting for it to come out on cable, so toy can watch for free.

Awesome! Just WOW! I knew it had to be good, but it went far beyond my expectations. It's one of those movies where you lose all track of time except the part where you you didn't want time to end because the movie was just too good. Cruise was excellent. He always is, but he really did this well and made the original movie proud. It's becoming trendy to bring back 80's and 90's movies these days (See Karate Kid). Cruise and his team really knocked this out of the park. I can see the franchise turning one of these other pilots into a movie series the way Disney is doing it with Star Wars and Avengers side characters.

Chris Hemsworth really surprised me with his acting. I will never question his ability to take his acting skills beyond superhero movies. The rest of the movie itself was interesting as a concept, but I find myself falling out of focus too many times to give this movie anything more than a 6.

It's a heck of a ride! Loved how they keep the rhythm of the wow going when they keep introducing highlights. This movie has so much significance with regards to linking up from Return of the Jedi. This is easily one of the best from the original 9 movies. Perhaps my only dislike from the movie is how some pieces resemble episode 4.
I don't see how you may have missed the movie till now, as it's a historical blockbuster, but if you haven't seen the movie yet, do it! Do it!

I was really surprised how much I liked the movie. Just recently saw Doctor Strange 2 and even with all the special effects and stars in that movie, I thought this movie was way better, even though it relied on story over action. I'd recommend it.

Have you ever just taken a chance on a movie in Netflix? I have. This was one of the few that worked out. A lot of these no name war movies tend to be bad because it takes a big budget to make it look real. The fight scenes were were strong and the storyline that strung everything together was very moving. Loved the movie!

Really easy to follow movie with all the Disney fixings. I loved watching the scenes where Jimmy pitches for the scouts. There are some slow parts, but enough meat on the bones to keep you interested. I would have removed the story lines about Texas, oil, and the religious aspects. Those storylines don't seem necessary to the overall flow of the timeline and story.
