Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix (2007)
If you have read the book you will be dis-appointed
In general I think the following were not covered correctly
1. More details about the order of the phoenix, I mean it was mentioned as if BTW 2. About Dumbeld being the secret keeper of the headquarters of the OOTP, and about the fidules charm (not sure how to write it), because this will re-appear in the last book 3. The battle between Dumbeld and Voldy was not as impressive as the book described it. 4. And in general, Michael Gambon sucks he appears broken and defeated and helpless, even in the battle against voldy it looks like ge barely makes it alive. 5. Nothing about percy change of heart, this will fire back in the last book/movie because whoever did not read the book will not understand it. 6. Removing all the discussions between Umbreige and McGonagall (Minerva) who barely appeared this time which is really disappointing
However I liked the following
1. The way it should how the members of the OOTP had appeared inside the ministry (the white light covering them was cool) 2. Cuttiong on the Weasly twin inventions. 3. Removing all the Quidetch SHT 4. very good umbrige
Babylon 5: The Legend of the Rangers: To Live and Die in Starlight (2002)
David Martail is better than Mathew Gorden
I read what D-J-Phillips wrote and I have to agree with him This pilot is not that bad, and actually let me dare say that David Martail has a huge potential to be the next John Sheridan, he even shines more confidence than Mathew Gorden in Crusade, B5 needs more fans to support any new production that comes, the legend of the rangers can be a good pilot for something better, this new aliens (the hand) need not to be another shadow, may be the story will twist and they end up to be bluffing, or that new race has found those old ships and is using them to frighten everyone else.
I always said that if B5 is to be revived then new story lines have to be developed and they need not be around the B5 universe itself, give the station a rest, and explore new options.
It is as londo said "a very big universe" and lots can be discovered and done
Babylon 5 (1993)
Cann't get enough of it
That is my feeling and it never changed. The story lines are superb. The performance was the best. The special effects of the Shadow Ships moving and their sound is really breath taking, and it puts you in the mode of the show. It is a work of art that combines, love, hate, war, piece, end of history and taking back what is ours.
WAAAAAAAAW
Too good to be true but it is.
I am a big Fan of science fiction, but I remember that when I was watching enterprise or star treck that a pretty good number of those episodes do not require a space ship to take place, and I remember telling myself :"If we moved all the actors from this space ship and put them in a big room on earth, they will still say the same lines of words and the episodes would still do the same as it is now". Actually the views of the stars and the space ship were most likely a decoration and had nothing to do with science fiction, Now I am not saying all the episodes were like this but most of them.
While in B5 you feel that the show is alive. I give it 10/10.
Every one makes his sacrify in the series
Sheridan Dies in the series, YES HE DOES DIE, and then he is given another chance to finish his job, but HE IS/WILL BE DIED. And much better, you see him grow and his hair goes gray when you reach excalibar. HE does not keep the same shape for all the years and generations. HE IS HUMAN WAAAAAAW
Marcus Dies and is not sent back by any life creating tomb, or what ever non-science fiction invention
The star furrey pilot (do not remember his name) who traced the shadow ship and recorded it, also dies.
Neron Dies also.
Londo & G'kar and all other also make their sacrifices.
Characters build up, and story lines do not stop intersecting with each other.
Aad guess what, the bad guys do not stop being bad even after they associate them selves to the good guys (Bester for example).
Also every one tries to pull everything to his/her own agenda, check how the Drazi invaded the infelee although the Drazi are of the good ones.
What else: Oh Yah, and there are lots of unknown soldiers that are participating, plus we see wars and battles that come across with no line of connection to the normal flow of the story but to give more fun an more action (View from the gallery)
And finally: is it fun to watch? Hell it is so funny that it even attracts some of my non sci-fi friends to watch it just to have a good laugh. I will try to post another opinion in which I will write some of the funny lines in B5
