Killers of the Flower Moon (2023)
Masterpiece
Killers of the Moon" caters to a demanding audience, with a penchant for technically sound films and a willingness to exercise patience.
Scorsese masterfully creates a pure drama that stands out for its naturalistic portrayal, continuous flow, and a departure from his previous works. Notably, there is an absence of illogical content and the detailed camera angles offer a rich tapestry of information, enhancing immersion. The meticulously chosen locations and costumes contribute to the film's realism. Leonardo DiCaprio, in his usual style, gives a convincing performance, presenting his character, Ernest Burkhart, through different facial expressions. However, it is Robert De Niro who steals the show with an excellent performance by William Hale, characterized by impeccable body language and impeccable dialogue. Lily Gladstone's excellent performance as Mollie, an Osage Indian, is truly commendable and adds a unique dimension to the narrative. A standout appearance comes from this year's Best Actor, Brendan Fraser, as Lawyer W. S. Hamilton, leaving a strong impact on history. The supporting cast also delivers solid performances. The combination of DiCaprio and Lily Gladstone is a visual treat and they complement each other effectively. "Killers of the Moon" offers a rich cinematic experience, especially for those who appreciate exceptional acting. Martin Scorsese skillfully simplifies the plot, offering clarity about Osage Indian culture and rituals, making the narrative feel genuine. This masterpiece of crime drama is a testament to Scorsese's storytelling skill.
As a fan of the cinematic trio, the length of the film is no problem, and "Killers of the Moon" appears as a new masterpiece in their illustrious career.
But naturally only those who have read the book will understand 100% of the film, the rest is history.
Tiny Beautiful Things (2023)
Grieving is very hard to accept.
Born, Live, and Die.
The Tiny Beautiful Things is very dark and sad but funny at the same time.
One of the most feared feelings is grieving.
Clare is always connected to her mother's grief, now and in the past.
The series begins very dramatic and dark, even depressing, but the performances are extraordinary.
Anyone who doesn't like drama shouldn't watch this series, but I put together wonderful actresses and excellent production.
There are some very funny moments that cut and smooth the drama. However, what I liked the most was the transition between Clare's past and present.
In this miniseries, Kathryn Hahn shows off her talent and raises the bar a great deal.
Merrit Wever is an actress I admire for her versatility and expressions that overflow my emotions.
Sarah Pigeon is the biggest surprise and what a surprise. Her performance is remarkable, and with inexplicable maturity and projection, she will have a bright future.
I recommend this mini-series. I give it a 9.
Something from Tiffany's (2022)
Christmas Love Story
Well, I really like Zoey work, following her and enjoying her growing in her career.
Okay, let's talk about this movie, but wait IS this movie like Love Actually?!? Nop, this movie it's more light, and genuine because the storyline it's simple, efficient and it's a love story!
The acting it's good, the set it's very Christmas time, I wish I could be there in that restaurant or in the coffee shop.
Don't lie, or the lie will catch you!
Really enjoy this movie, you should watch it with your family or with your love, because it's entertaining, joyful and it's Christmas time.
Starts with the ring, but ends with Love!
