Battlefield: Hardline (2015 Video Game)
5/10
Hardline: The half baked cake.
8 April 2015
Warning: Spoilers
The next installment of the Battlefield series, Hardline, sees EA take their very successful Battlefield franchise into a new frontier- Cops and bad guys. The two main features of the game are the Single-player campaign mode and the famous Multiplayer mode. As a gamer, FPS campaign modes are usually not that developed and well made meaning I tend to only buy the game for its Online action. But, Visceral games have done an excellent job with their campaign. Firstly, the storyline is excellent- executed to perfection making you feel like you're living the life of a detective in the heart of a raging drug war. The visuals made the campaign excellent, detail put into the streets of Miami and LA are priceless. The addition of the ability to customise your load-out for each mission and in- game as well make it enjoyable to play over again and again. Overall, the single-player experience gets a 10/10!

But, and this is a sad note. The multi-player does not meet the Battlefield standards. No longer can you use tactics to beat your enemy as the faster pace of game-play has attracted the likes of ex Call of Duty players. Sadly, the multi-player is no longer as enjoyable as it used to be. So much imbalance needs to be tweaked and quite simply it's not satisfying. The lag is awful too, you have the advantage but then you lag and poof, you are gone. Overall multi-player gets a big fat 0/10.

Sadly for a game with so much potential it only ranks a 5/10 for me.
