Overrated piece of curd
14 April 2024
This movie is overrated. The story is pathetic and the characters are horrible and intolerable. Romance is very cliche and terrible. I thought the movie of new gen actors would have a better roamce, but this is just pathetic. The are some cheap comedy here and there and that's the highlight of this curd mess of a movie. The story is basically about a clueless guy being obsessed with a clueless girl who has no idea about personal boundary and gets unnecessarily tangled with the guy for the sole purpose of making the story move forward.

If you didn't watch it in the theatre, consider yourself lucky! My advise is to watch this only if you want to waste your time.

Horrible movie, don't waste your time
4 April 2024
This movie is super bad and lacks flow in its storyline. It is a jumbled mess. You are thrown right into a weak scenario without proper introduction of the characters and you are left to fill the puzzle and find story in the movie. The background score was horrible and annoying. I don't understand how they thought it is a comedy movie. In fact, you will feel depressed and pity for the people who worked on it. I expected a better storyline from big stars like Biju Menon. I haven't seen such a weak movie in Malayalam industry in a long time. In my humble opinion, your life will be better if you don't waste your time watching this movie.

Overrated, classist and cliche movie
1 October 2023
The movie is hyped beyond what it deserves. The story is very cliche and low effort. I truly wished there was something of substance to applaud in this movie, but there is none. The movie also propagates the stereotype that those who live in colonies are thugs and immoral people while those with power and money to afford karate class are saints.

The actors did okay with their parts but what they can do is heavily limited by the poor and cliche storyline. The fight scenes are mediocre at best. Even if you are watching the movie for the fight scenes, it is underwhelming compared to Thallumala and even Ayyappan n Koshi.

Not worth watching in cinemas.

Waste of time. Wasted opportunity.... myrrrr

No story line. Super boring and slow. Unreasonable violence and fighting. Only good thing about the movie has that it captures the vibe of temple festivals. Good cinematography. But wasted opportunity.

Overrated embarrassing film.
8 September 2019
This film fails flat. Like the main character in the movie, the plot of the story lacks any aim or direction.

In the first half, the movie fails miserably at being funny and in the later half, it becomes so sentimental on a character that never had any role in the first half.

The movie is so disconnected in the first and second half that if you you split the both parts into two different titles, you would think they are separate movies.

I watched this movie on the in-flight entertainment system and a foreigner girl who seated next to took interest to knowing the story because of her interest in Kerala. Needless to say, by the second half of the movie, it was so embarrassing trying to help her make sense of the plot when even I couldn't make sense of such a stupid story.

This is one of the most disappointing film I have ever seen. Thought it would be a nice movie, but by second half, I was praying for the plane to crash so that I won't have to live rest of my life with the regret of having wasted my time on this piece of movie.

Simple and humble comedy entertainer
8 September 2019
I was not expecting much seeing the rating of just 6.5 for this film. But this is one of the most humble comedy film I have seen. This movie is a total entertainer and laugh maker without any mood killer drama or twist which are usually found in later half of many films of this genre.

All the actors are equally entertaining. The comedy bits are so simple yet they succeed in making one laugh because of the comedic talent of the actors.

Must watch if you just wanna laugh.

Awesome Comedy film!
19 May 2016
This movie is one among the few malayalam films that can easily top in best comedy category and can even make you laugh until your stomach hurts. Dileep's typical humorous was just on point because of the interesting natural flow of storyline.

The castings were perfect for the movie. Mamta Mohandas did a great job acting as an alcoholic mallu girl, Aju varghese was a good combo for Dileep and Suraaj Venjarammoodu was great with his humorous bits. Patel needs special mention because he was a new and unique character in any malayalam movie and the actor who played Patel did a really good job making laugh just from his looks and manners. Rest of the supporting cast in the story did a good job completing the puzzle.

This movie will always be remembered. The humorous bits are great and I really enjoyed watching it and laughing uncontrollably.

The climax was good and put the movie to a peaceful digestible ending.

I loved it.

Great work. Thanks for making this awesome comedy.

how can you even call this a movie?!
2 April 2016
I like their youtube pranks, fake or not - I don't know, but some of them were quite fun to watch. Having seen Bad Grandpa, I was expecting at least a loose storyline in this movie. But there is none! It seems like they didn't even put any effort to make it like a movie aside from the pranks. And the hype they give for this "movie" on their channels is just ridiculous.

The pranks were just OK. But this is not even a movie! I don't know what the **** went through all of their minds making this a "movie". It's just a compilation of some pranks with some behind the scenes. It doesn't deserve to be played on a movie theater.

I hear they are planning on making a second part. It better have some story in it with the pranks.

Don'y be fooled by it's name, It's a unique story and good movie. Must watch!
27 March 2016
I had not seen the trailer of this movie, and since I was spoiled by disappointing masala movies of similar style of names, I thought this movie was going to be some kind of masala action movie with no real story. But with in few minutes into this movie, I knew I was totally wrong about my prejudice and I was happy about it.

The story revolves around an incident that happened to the young married couple while on their trip after a huge fight between them. Dulquer plays the role of Sidharth who is really short tempered and has anger management issues. His wife, Anjali, played by Sai Pallavi, tries her best to help him manage his anger. They live pretty good loving life except the occasional little fights between them caused mostly because of Sid's short-temperness. Anyway, one day Sidharth's anger got out of his hand and one thing lead to another, which ended up having Anjali leave to her parents home. I hate to spoil rest of the movie here but I can guarantee it is one of the best and longest most intense sequence in malayalam movie ever.

Many elements of the movie can be related to almost all households. One scene that comes to my mind is when Sidharth asks Anjali drive the car and how her poor driving causes anger. So relatable to me.

All casts and crew of this movie did an excellent job making this movie. Chemban Vinod & Vinayakan deserves mention for their villain characters. Soubin Shahir's character was not only pivotal but also added some humor in the movie. Special appreciation to Rajesh Gopinadhan & Sameer Thahir for the prefect ending of the movie.

I guess the moral of the story would be:

1) Being able to control anger is necessary skill. 2) Driving is an important skill to have in today's world regardless of gender.

Worth watching....a beautiful movie experience
28 December 2015
TL;DR : Life of Josutty is a unique take on a cliché story that contributed to hundreds of similar Malayalam movies - but this one feels better and it goes beyond the boundaries.

This story of this movie has some truth to it which is beautifully portrayed around the life circumstances of the lead character Josutty. All of the actors did an excellent job with their given roles and overall, the flow of story in the movie feels natural and relate- able to real life stories in terms of how many women ( and men ) succumb to the pressure of society and upholding family values by giving up their dreams.

The writer did an excellent job in portraying every character in their own right. Like Josutty's father advised to him, the story provokes viewers to take a second and see the situations from the other parties perspective. Even though, some acts can be seen as immoral / controversial, there is no one evil in any of the characters in the movie. The story sheds some light on the truth that we humans are little bit selfish about our own priorities - which is not necessarily same for everyone. For Rose, it was about being with the guy she loved, for Priya it was about upholding the integrity of her family and hence conforming to her family members expectations of her.

The cinematography and choice of locations in this movie deserves a special mention. The beauty around the hills and dams / lakes of Idukki and Auckland was nicely captured. These locations and the way they were presented definitely played an important role in keeping up the vibe of the movie.

The songs were nice, it synced with story and the sceneries.

Definitely, this movie deserves a spot in top 10 Malayalam movie for the year 2015.

I rate it a solid 8/10.

The Office (2005–2013)
10/10
My favourite sitcom EVER!!
23 August 2014
Honestly, I thought show as 'boring' even before I watched a single episode. Seriously, what interesting could happen in an office environment? I remember first scene I saw from this show. It was from an internet wallpaper with Michael Scott with a white board behind him saying "You miss 100% of the shots you don't take".

Then after years from that, I somehow started watching "The Office", I don't really remember why I did that. What I love most about this show is it's raw nature. The camera is kind of shaky yet still brings the best scenes...something that I had never seen before in a TV sitcom. It may seem less professional but adds real life, personal touch with the TV show and the characters in them.

Obviously, Michael Scott is one of my favourite character. Jim, Andy, Dwight, Pam, Erin, Kevin, Oscar, Angela, Creed and even the camera crew include in my favourite list.

What I learned from this show is that it's okay to be weird and different ,that you won't be welcomed as you wanted it to be ( remembering Michael Scott attempts ), that you can't wait and expect things to happen for you, that it's okay to be hated and feel hate to others....it's all dependent on time. People change, feelings change, situations change. All you got to do is be yourself and be true to your heart and everything will fall into it's place.

I love every minute I spent on this show <3
