The Walking Dead: A (2014)
What is Terminus?
DO NOT READ THIS REVIEW UNTIL YOU WATCH THE EPISODE.
I have never posted a review about a Waking Dead episode, but this episode caught my attention. First of all, the connection between the rabbit snare and the Terminus human snare was chilling to say the least. Is Terminus really a human snare? It looks like it. They could have easily killed Rick and his "family" but they are keeping them alive. Why? How many reasons can possibly make sense in such a situation given the evidence? And what is the evidence?
Here is the evidence: Moans for help in the train car. The fresh human bones in a separate room. Candles in what looks like a room for worship. conclusion: This place looks like some sort of satanic cult that traps humans, sacrifices and then eats them.
Now let me talk about the episode in a general way. This episode was very artistic visually and metaphorically speaking. Rick crossed the final line for what it takes to be a fearless leader by biting that guy's (forgot his name) throat out. A family became established in that Rick is now Daryll's brother and Michionne is Carl's mother. The blood on Rick's face and beard was very scary, but absolutely astonishing. Michionne's confession to Carl shows that she has finally accepted what she has done and can move on. Daryll being comforted by his big "brother" allows him to forgive himself for not being able to save Beth.
Essentially this episode served to build up a strong family that will give blood for one another. A family that will be the main force in the next season.

Il buono, il brutto, il cattivo (1966)
The music will last forever
I've watched this movie over 15 years ago and I just watched it again today Feb. 14, 2014. If there was ever a film in which sounds defined it, this would be that film. I watched the Bluray 5.1 surround version and every single sound was just ideal. A lick of the lips. A dropping rock. Suspenseful music score. Hard shoe soles against harder wood. Gun shots. Massive explosions. A little fly landing on a face. Every single thing seemed to have had a little microphone attached it. This added to my appreciation of the story line.
The story line was very "story-like". A good man, a bad man, and an ugly man all wanted the same thing. But, they couldn't all get it. It reads like a story book you would read to your kids before tucking them in. I wont go into further details of the story, but just know that it is a classic that will last forever. Every character has well defined traits that make them unique. If I happen to watch this film again in 15 years, I may not remember the story line. But, I do know that I will never forget the characters and the music.
Breaking Bad: Felina (2013)
Heisenberg, The Legend
The final episode of Breaking Bad ties up all loose ends. As was expected, Walt didn't simply keel over and accept death. He did something. He did everything. He payed for his mistakes in a majestic way. At the same time, he fulfilled his primary objective, which was to provide money for his family's future. The biggest meth empire, run by the slavery of Jesse, the Neo-Nazis, and Lydia, came to a welcomed fall all at the hands of the genius chemist, Mr. White. The cold but acknowledging nod between Walt and Jesse sums up the turbulence of their past. And the accepting smile of Walt as he laid lifelessly on the cold floor of the Lab reveals that happiness had finally reached an existence of regret. The story of the entire show from beginning to end was as though it was your own story. You became Walter White, a normal man, befallen with the monstrosity of cancer. You become so absorbed by his life that you take on his fears, hate, and guilt. As he made decisions that he thought were right, he slowly realized just how fragile and imperfect he was. And so you, the viewer, also realize that you are capable of traversing a similar path. Even though Walt was imperfect, and paid justly for those imperfections, there is no doubt that this show is as close to perfect as we will witness a TV show in this generation. Breaking Bad is truly a masterpiece.
12 Angry Men (1957)
Masterpiece
This film was one of a very few films (<8 films) that I award a perfect 10/10. But what exactly makes a movie 10/10 in my opinion? It has to be a movie that I would watch again and again and realize something new every time. It has to make my mind run to its highest capacity. It has to have acting, dialog, and a story like no other. It has to be something that could be put away for decades at a time and still feel fresh. This film is a perfect 10.
Is there any action? no. Does the setting change? no. Is the movie in color? no. So why do I still award it a 10? You must watch it to find out.
Breaking Bad: Granite State (2013)
Holy....
That's all I really need to say. IMDb wants me to say more, so I will. Breaking Bad will end as one of the greatest if not the greatest show of all time. It is flawlessly written in a very poetic way that grips the audience. Every episode has its purpose in bringing to life a story that ravages the emotions of the audience. To'hajiilee added fear to my existence. Then Ozymandias ripped away my emotions. And now Granite State....Do I recommend this show? No, I don't recommend it, because that would be a disservice to the show. I tell people they should make watching this show part of their bucket list. It is something that any and every movie/show/TV watcher must see before they die.
The Shawshank Redemption (1994)
Excellent story, Excellent directing, Excellent acting
I will start with a basic summary:
This movie starts out with a banker(Tim Robbins) who supposedly killed his wife and her lover while drunk. This led to a conviction and prison sentence. Most of the story takes place in this prison, Shawshank. Tim Robbins and Morgan Freeman are the main characters, who become best friends who use their friendship as a means to escape from the hell of prison and the devil in their warden.
Tim (Andy), a brilliant man, manages to make a slightly better prison life for himself and his fellow inmates by helping out the warden with basic office things. However, this was not enough for him. He need to escape, and escape he did in the most spectacular way.
Now, I will give my opinion on the film:
This film is something that you should devote time to watching when you have no interruptions. Turn off your cellphone and unplug your home phone before watching it because the greatness of this film is something that shouldn't be interrupted. The story line is perfect. The acting is perfect. The characters are so deep and gripping. The setting is excellent. If you have money, I would definitely recommend that you buy this in blu-ray (if you have blu-ray player) and connect it to a surround sound system, because you will want to hear every spoken word, every fallen leaf, every gust of wind, every detail.
This is one of about only 5 movies that I give a solid 10 stars.
Transformers: Dark of the Moon (2011)
Predictable, No clear plot, great graphics
So, when I decided to watch this, I told myself I wouldn't look at the IMDb rating first, just so I wouldn't have a preconceived notions about the film.
My first impression about the beginning was that this could potentially lead to something great. Boy was I disappointed. Half of the movie didn't make any sense. Most of the time the humans were running around in circles as though they had an impact on the final outcome. They had 1% impact at most, although 90% of the camera time was spent on them.
The explanations as to why they ran from one place to another were mediocre at best. To paraphrase: "We have to get to that building to stop something." Why are you going to that building? No reason.
Pros: The girl was hot. What can I say, I'm a typical man. It would be 2/10 if she wasn't hot. Also the graphics are good as usual. Would have been a solid 0/10 without this fact.
If you have a couple of hours to spare on a Saturday afternoon and nothing else to do, DON'T watch this movie. Sit on your couch and stare at the wall instead.
