The Beekeeper (2024)

Disappointed at best
6 March 2024
Warning: Spoilers
This was obviously a movie written specifically for the Jason Statham fans. The story line was a bit weak as was the last ten or so minute build up to the end.

Granted, this is fiction, but they played off the scamming farms a bit over the top with a Monte Hall type character leading the farm. The suits the guys wore were absolutely ridiculous. I am not sure what they were trying to get us to think.

The actors playing the two main FBI agents had no character at all. I'm not even sure their purpose in the film, other than it was her mother who died in the beginning.

No Jason is good, and I like him and his action scenes in many of his movies but let's be realistic a little bit - it is completely unreasonable that he would be able to sneak into a presidential event in the manner he did and get that close to the president. Really. And add to that how many secret service and FBI he had to get through before he killed off that little sh(#&*#.

So that said, for my $19.99 on Apple TV, it was not worth the price.

Star Trek: Picard (2020–2023)

Ready to Watch It Again
14 September 2023
Season 3 has felt like an eight hour ride of the best of the best of TNG. I am so sad that this is the end, but so incredibly satisfied with this season. To have all the characters that we have loved over the years return for such an elegantly written ten- show series was wonderful.

Unlike a few other final show episodes this past year, this series carried the thrill, the anticipation, to the very end. You truly did not know who would be coming out alive and who would not until the show's ending and that kept me glued to the screen until the remaining seconds.

I started screening this season three days ago. I am done. I know that I have to watch it again because I know I will see things the second time I missed initially.

I don't think you will find any part of the season lacking. Everything builds upon the previous shows and nothing is left out there leaving you wondering or questioning.

Thank you to everyone who has made TNG and Picard so special.

True Lies (2023)

Not Impressed
3 March 2023
It is a tall order to fill in the shoes of Arnold and Jamie Lynn and they tried, but they just didnt pull it off. I felt no chemistry between these two and that was the magic of True Lies the movie.

I found myself fast forwarding to a good part but just did not find any wow factor.

I really hope it gets better. It looks like it might prove entertaining but as i was watching it late, i switches to the new.

Why they brought in a boy to the family escapes me. Also, are they just going to mimic the movie or come up with something new and interesting to grab our attention. Oh, and suddenly a school teacher who does yoga is a deadly shot and knows how to fight? Not.

Adult Night?
9 March 2022
The adult natured overtone of this episode was a complete turn off. It was stupid, poorly done childish in nature. I hope this type of writing is restricted to this one episode.

Broke (I) (2020)

There was not a Zero rating.

5/28, the wife and I thought we'd watch one to see if it was any good. This girl was great at Abby. This show however, rates at one of the worst shows I have ever watched. The laugh track laughs at bad jokes. The acting is horrendous. I'd rather watch a tv test pattern for 30 minutes.

Decent, not great but decent

I think after so many years it gets difficult to keep the fire going. At some point we will find out who Red really is and then the series will come to a conclusion but I'm not ready for this.

This episode gave good insight into some of the past of that new Asian agent, I cannot remember her name. Interesting how it played out, cannot say more but I think it will bring about some good character development between her and Red in future episodes.

Sad for Aram, that's all I'll say.

Other than that, just a good episode before what I really think what we were waiting for returns, Katrina! The previews show her coming back in the next episode and you know it will hit the fan!

Absolutely Terrible
23 March 2020
I was so geared up waiting of this episode and was absolutely destroyed.

Were the writers on vacation? Nothing carried over from the previous episode and storyline.

Red was all pheasant and sarcastic. Not his usual self. Liz was all but non-existent.

I cannot enough about how bad this episode was. It lacked everything that made this show authentic.

Just when thought

So we finally hear the scoop on Ted's past. I'm chomping at the bit ready to write an old friend who watches when the tide turns and once again, you really don't know if what you heard was right or wrong. Arrrggghhh.

Lethal Weaponless

Everything was based around Martin Riggs. To remove him from the show remives the entire premise. If is niw nothing more than another weak police comedy. Murtaugh cannot carry the show without Riggs.
