Dawn of the Dead (2004)
zombie movies are freaky... THE END!
i really liked this movie. i love horror movies, but zombie movies are the ones that scare me the most since dead people should stay dead! i haven't seen any good horror movies lately, so this is awesome. i like the fact that they go straight to the point: like, less than 10 minutes into the movie, hell breaks loose! and i also like the fact that they continue showing scenes during the credits since i hate it when we don't get to see the ending-ending in a lot of movies. the only things is, it didn't seem that believable: the whole running super speed/strength zombies. but it did make the movie freakier. there is one scene that i can't stop thinking about and it's the one with the dog and the sandwich going to andy, i was freaked since i'm a big dog fan. well, all i have to say is that you should watch it since i'm sure there won't be a really good horror movie coming out anytime soon!
Dirty Dancing: Havana Nights (2004)
can it lag in more?!
ok... this movie is good... i like the dancing even though the girl was still not a great dancer (she was still stiff) but uou become distracted with her dress that flows sooo cool... the whole story was not that great... and because of that, it felt like the movie was lagging on and on... kinda got annoying. and at one point, they kiss (during the competition) and i was just like "what the? they act like they did it before since they didn't seem to mind what they have just done"... i was lost and confused with their "love story" after that... i liked seeing them practice though because it was pretty much a comic relief.
i know i'm being pretty much negative about this movie... the only good part that i found was only the dancing scene, the practicing and the girl trying to dance in front of the mirror until the guy comes in -- that was hilarious!!!!
The Passion of the Christ (2004)
it's not THAT disgusting
i was afraid to watch the movie because of what the media has been saying about how people are disgusted and walking out of the theater or vomiting... but it isn't too gory... and i am happy i went to see the movie because it's really good. but i kinda wished it stopped after the 30 sec. pause because i found at that moment, everyone in th theater were thinking about what Jesus has done and it would have been much more moving if they stopped there... but i understand that they had to show him come back, so it's alright with me... now, after watching the movie, i am really touch... the thing is, i am not a great catholic compared to my family, but now i respect them and am really starting to believe ...
