Mother! (2017)
Refine Your Believe
The film starts slow with everything, as you start to try to understand the movie, anger and stress comes to you, but something was different, the anger and stress that I felt was something new compared to all movies I've watched so far, I had to pause and get a break to breathe during the movie, in few seconds of pause I realized how this movie made me feel about myself and the humanity, something that we feel during our day, work, school, on street and so on, but never expecting to feel this during a film, better of all, never thinking that a director could make me feel this way with such beautiful and well-done art that is this film.
Everything started to make sense when the war goes up in the house, the child, the forgiveness, people of different believes in different rooms of the house, is such a majestic movie.
The better of all, is that the movie doesn't have your 100% right understanding, you watch and you absorb what you feel and what you understand about what surrounds your mind about this theme, and that's amazing.
Note to Jennifer Lawrence that is outstanding in this movie.
Le fabuleux destin d'Amélie Poulain (2001)
A little touch of innocence is always appreciated.
Le fabuleux destin d'Amélie Poulain or Amélie, classified as Comedy and Drama, brings both categories in a different way, almost as innocent, a movie that can make you laugh or think for an entire night about how many details exist around us, and how so many of it we see, Amélie is exactly about this, how blindly innocent we are to not see everything around us, and still think that we do, not only the narrative of the film can enchant you in such deep romantic and funny attitudes, but everything in the movie, from the amazing performance by Audrey Tautou (Amélie Poulain) to the magnificent soundtrack by Yann Tiersen.
Amélie Poulain sees everything around herself with so much attention, kind and innocent, on her own way of being, always trying to do the best to bring happiness to everyone around her, the narrative of the film involves you to go along with Amélie's point of view.
Get a nice afternoon, sit down, relax and take 2 hours off from your thoughts about problems, job, school and everything else, and watch this movie, I promise you, you gonna feel nostalgic by something that you don't even know. (Unless if you are French, then the nostalgic will make sense).
