I like classics from the 80's and 90's.
I like unique romances. Thrillers, not gore. I like Indies but also well-produced franchises. I like Sci-Fi and family movies as well. I really like Christian movies, I wish they had the budget some of these awful action movies have.

A Quiet Place (2018)
It's About Family!
This is a very good original movie, with original monsters and original scoring. The people leaving film reviews fancy themselves to be film critics but are just anger-filled narcissists who like to say that they weren't scared by a horror film. None of them can see this from a parent's point of view, or from a child's point of view. I will explain away some of these "plot holes". There is some medicine left but not a lot, the mom is probably pregnant because they ran out of birth control. And while the world is tough right now, she decided to continue life instead of aborting an innocent baby. If you're a selfish adult this probably did not occur to you. Also, these children would have been used to having fun yelling and playing with loud toys before the aliens got there, it's really hard for kids to be quiet for hours on end, it's very believable that they would have to be reminded to be quiet. Many people said why didn't they go live next to the waterfall? Because you can't live outside 24/7 in -10 or 100+ temps especially with young children, and there was no flat surface for a tent! Why didn't the dad just start shooting at the aliens and kill them? Maybe he didn't want to risk getting killed and leaving his wife to raise his kids by herself. Also, while many of you high school drop-outs think you're an expert on everything, he was probably waiting for the military to figure it out, and that's what most people would do. It's also very evident that the monsters are incredibly fast, so the people who have tried to kill them are dead. Lastly, if you were just looking for cheap jump scares that most people hate, then yeah, this is not the movie for you. It's a thriller about emotions, i.e. how would keep your children alive in an event like this? Could you keep your family alive while being hunted? It's not about grossing you out and shocking you with taboo scenes, it's about family and things that are actually scary to think about. It's a smart movie for people who feel emotions in a normal way.
Criminal Minds: The Big Game (2007)
Why so many writers?
Okay, if you have not seen this yet, just don't read any further.
My biggest gripe about this episode (I'm just gonna ignore the computer mistakes) is when Dr. Reid and J.J. are at the unsub's house. They follow him into the barn, while it is dark, with no backup. Now that MAY be believable, but what is totally unbelievable is when Reid runs after the guy into the cornfield. COME ON WRITERS! No smart person, let alone a trained Doctor for the FBI, would blindly run after a killer into a cornfield AT NIGHT!! I hate it when they bring in extra writers or new writers and they don't follow the style that the show has been written in for the previous seasons. It ruins the personalities of the characters when you have them saying contradictory stuff from one episode to the next.
This was a badly written episode, but very entertaining. The writing has gotten better, thank goodness!
Walking Tall (2004)
better than expected
this movie was a lot better than i expected. i saw the original a long time ago and really liked it, and i was afraid that the new movie would give Walking Tall a bad name. i am not a BIG fan of the rock, but because he didn't completely ruin this movie, i now like him better. i think his acting ability has greatly improved. The Scorpion King was not near as good as everyone made it out to be, so my hopes weren't too high for this movie but i watched it and actually liked it. my favorite part was when he and his deputy were cutting up that guy's truck, that was SO great. That part alone is worth watching the movie for. but i do like the original more.
Freaky Friday (2003)
Better than I thought
Freaky Friday was better than I thought it would be. I actually laughed out loud quite a few times. The acting in this movie was VERY good. If you think about it the actresses had to completely change thier movements and the way they held themselves and everything. I think they did a very good job. This movie also brought tears to my eyes (where Anna gives her speech at the end). I also liked the way they protrayed the daughter's life, it wasn't that she didn't study, her school work was hard, and the teacher WAS out to make things hard for her! It had a good ending and Lindsay Lohan did an excellent job with the guitar parts.
Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl (2003)
Best Movie of the year!!
I aboslutely LOVED this movie! It is a movie that covers all the bases and does it well. It has nonstop humor along with nonstop action. It also has hot guys and smart witty women. The priate thing makes it unique and makes the movie one of a kind. This movie deserves best movie of the year, and I hope it gets it. If you haven't seen it, buy it and watch it, it's definelty worth the money!!
X2 (2003)
A very good sequel.
I am so glad that they picked up where they left off. Most movies don't follow the original story line, they come up with a seemingly better plot to bring in more money. I was glad the makers of X2 didn't try that. It was a very good movie, possible better than the first.
