Avatar: The Way of Water (2022)
AVATAR: THE WAY OF WATER - YOU NEED TO FEEL IT TO ENJOY IT!
"Water connects all things, life thru death, and darkness thru light!"
Prologue:
Aaah, these mobile phones! Have you ever wondered ever since these mobiles came into our hands, our attention span has been reduced to that of a kitten or an infant? We stopped paying attention to everything and we became ever-busy, doing nothing - or gazing at the gadget, doing nothing! When was the last time you "lived" at the moment? I saw some folks trying to capture the visual grandeur happening on the screen on their 6-inch cell phones rather than enjoying the awe in front of their eyes! So, if you don't have time for this 192-minute visual wonder, you better stay off!

Watching Avatar: The Way of Water is like going for meditation! Only if you indulge all your senses in it, you can enjoy the ecstasy it creates for you. You will be spellbound by James Cameron's visual wizardry - be it the fluorescent bodies of the natives of Pandora, the beautiful terrestrial creatures as well as underwater giants, and the machines, guns, and ships the humans use to hunt Na'vi race - every frame in the movie will make your jaw drop in awe and amazement.
The Way of Water picks up a decade after the events of Avatar. Jake and Neytiri are now proud parents of 5 children - 3 biological and 2 adopted. Of the two adopted children, one girl Kiri was born from doctor Grace Augustine's avatar. (Sigourney Weaver must be really happy to see herself younger in the role of Kiri.) The other boy is the son of Miles Quaritch who was killed by Jack in the first part. All 5 children, despite their physical differences, mingle well and they all live happily for a moment until a star appears in the sky! The star is nothing but a group of spaceships carrying humans to colonize Pandora planet for its rich source of minerals. Colonel Miles Quaritch, who was killed by Jack Sully returns as a clone in his Avatar body with his memories embedded. He wants to take revenge on Jack Sully. How Jack Sully faces his archenemy and protects his family forms the crux of the story.
Have you ever thought that the other species with whom we live in this world try to communicate with us? If only we care to listen to them! Apart from the family theme the movie explores, it is also about how we should co-exist with other creatures on the planet and care to listen to what they're trying to communicate. There's a beautiful bonding episode of a sea creature called Payakan and the son of Jake. All the people on Na'vi co-exist with their surroundings and creatures that live amongst them. They even consider other species as their spiritual family and address them as their sisters and brothers.
Epilogue:
Avatar: The Way of Water doesn't offer you an adrenaline rush or the edge-of-the-seat experience. Instead, it gives you an overwhelming feeling of awe and admiration which will stay with you for some time. My suggestion is, if you have access to an IMAX screening, go for it. The gigantic scale on which the film is made is to be enjoyed on IMAX screens only! If it is not possible, well, better enjoy it in 3D. But whichever way you watch it, indulge in it, and you will enjoy it absolutely! Don't worry if all the Na'vi people look the same with fluorescent blue shades. I couldn't recognize Kate Winslet as Ronal! All things will fall into place and you will understand once you enter the Pandora world leaving everything, especially your cell phones, behind and the length of the film doesn't bother you!
And yeah! Avatar 3 is due in the month of December 2024, which is two years from now!
The Nun (2018)
THE NUN, AN INSULT TO THE CONJURING!
The makers of THE NUN claims the movie to be the darkest chapter in THE CONJURING universe. I'd say, this movie is the stupidest chapter in THE CONJURING universe!
THE CONJURING I & II directed by James Wann, set a bench mark in horror films with a good story, genuine scares and of course, superb acting. The makers however, instead of focusing on the franchise, started deviating to spinoffs ANNABELLE & ANNABELLE CREATION. With the moderate success of these two films, they did a grave mistake of attempting one more spinoff, THE NUN. The result is a big let down right from the word go! I am wondering as to how the talented director James Wan, who is the producer and co-writer here, has green lit this insipid piece.
Except for the beautiful Romanian plateaus at the beginning of the film, the film offers nothing exciting or thrill which you expect from a horror thriller. Morever, the film is unintentionally funny at times! And NO! Just because of that, you shouldn't be watching this!
Keep away from this NUN!
AMEN!!
Captain America: Civil War (2016)
CAPTAIN America : CIVIL WAR - Must watch for Marvel fans!
CA : CW is a fun film with good ensemble of super heroes! Unlike Batman Vs Superman, this one got a good story and well narrated, often tongue-in-cheek manner! Loved the cast. Never thought Elizabeth Olsen(Scarlet Witch) would be so hot! :P
By now, you know Spiderman is a part of the team and he gives a few chuckles. So does Antman!
The only problem with the movie is, you need to know the back stories of all the superheroes involved. Otherwise, it will be difficult to follow what's happening on the screen because there are lot of references to their previous superhero movies especially from Avengers 1 & 2 , Captain America 1 & 2!
This film is a must watch... especially so if you are Marvel fan... like me! :)
Sarrainodu (2016)
SARRAINODU... Another SGS, LOL!
As an ardent fan of movies, watching films like these makes me sad! Very sad!! Moreover, I don't even had a respite after the movie as yesterday was Hanuman Jayanthi and a dry day! tongue emoticon A ruthless villain who grabs innocent poor villagers lands and kills everyone who crosses his path ( I know you are already yawning!)... A hero who doesn't like anyone breaking the law except him, confronts the villain and will not fight it out in the first scene because, the cinema length should be at least 150 mins.. A heroine, who is a damsel in distress being rescued by our hero and a romance follows... A second fiddle, who is there to showcase her curves and to fill in 2 songs... A comedian who tries to make you laugh but fails and makes you feel so sorry for him...
On the top of all, cheap narration by the director which can only be enjoyed by illiterates!
I bet you can't even sit through this movie...
There is an English movie "Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless mind", a Jim Carrey and Kate Winslet starrer. The basic plot is to erase the memories of each other when their relationship is not going good. Yday, while coming out of theatre I wished we had that technology. Because that way, I can erase "Boyapati Sreenu", "Sarrainodu" and many such films from my memory. I felt happy for the thought but then it suddenly struck me.. If i forget these people and films and after the process of deleting, while going home if i see the poster of Sarrainodu I may go back to see the movie? That gave me chills my friends!
