Chain of Fools (2000)
Underrated, underrated, underrated - Possible SPOILERS!
Chain of fools is just funny and crazy! I've bought the dvd, cause i wasn't able to find anyone having or even knowing this little film. And i cannot understand this! This movie is sooo underrated!
The story is about Kresk, a real loser, played perfect and really funny by Steve Zahn, and what happens to him after he has heard about a real good plan to get a lot of money. His wife left him, he is very bad in his job as a barber, his friends are crazy, his sisters son hates him, and everything goes wrong for him, so he has nothing to loose! And on one very bad day, the story beginns...and goes on funny, strange and, ok, sometimes a little unrealistic.
The cast is brilliant. Steve Zahn looks so crazy, and plays his character very good. Salma Hayek, playing good too, is just hot in here. Orlando Jones as Drag-Queen - oh my god! And Elijah Wood in a not so typical role for him - a teenage killer - or should i say "wanna-be-killer"!
If you like crazy and funny films with great actors, you would like to see in their maybe funniest roles ever, go and rent this little film!

Love Actually (2003)
if in 2003 there has been just one really underrated movie, then here it is!
"love actually" is a perfect little movie about love and it's many faces. about the way, love can happen to anybody, in any situation. the list of wellknown actors is long, no one of them is better or worse then the others, all together they have done a great and perfect job. ok, grant and flint aren't only good actors in this movie, they are very hot too, but that's not, what i love about "love actually". it's the style, the music, london in christmas time, and they way, people get together.
this movie offers no action, war or blood. no science fiction, no special effect - it's just about love. in a very lovely way.

The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King (2003)
now we can see the world through tolkien's eyes
About three years ago, i just hated the idea of watching this trilogy, now i love it. personally, i think, FOTR was the most interesting part of the trilogy, with its explanation of the story and background, with the introduction of the main characters, but the most touching part is this - the return of the king. i laughed (not to often, ok), i cried, and i was afraid of all the danger around our heroes. the way, tolkien described their way, was perfectly brought to screen by jackson, we are able to feel their pain, feel the little hope, the sadness. i've never been touched by a movie in that way, and i'm afraid, i will never be again.
A lot of people aren't satisfied with the different endings, this movie has got, but i think, every closing has its right to be. after this journey of about 9 or even 10 hours, it's impossible to let this movie end at just one point. every step in the future live of all of them is necessary, and i enjoyed every ending as much as i felt with them during their fights and sadness.
So, the journey is over, with a perfect ending. if you haven't seen this movie (and FOTR + TTT), go and see it. you haven't to be a fantasy-fan nor you have to know tolkien's story. it's a perfect movie about friendship, love, war, and about the fact, that even the brave little man can change the world!
