Very underrated!

This was a seriously refreshing movie to watch.Sad thing is,No one I met has seen or even heard about it.Blame it on poor marketing.This movie is about the teenagers of a foster-care facility and the caretakers themselves. How they affect each other and themselves in the process can be seen here.

Brie Larson is just terrific in this. Perhaps her best performance yet.Another standout is Kaitlyn Denver.She is young and talented and plays the role of a troubled teenager.

All the kids and teenagers were interesting. The chemistry between them is clearly visible especially between Brie and Kaitlyn. Every character undergoes through mental stress in this film and its a treat to watch them tackle it and come out stronger than before.

"What doesn't kill you make you stronger " literally ; applies here .

The Rap song scene was truly great and is still fresh in my mind months after seeing this.In the end, you will feel good about life after watching this. Feel Good guaranteed.

Submarine (2010)

Dark Humor + Awkward Craig Roberts = Submarine

This was Richard Ayaode's directorial debut and he has done a very good job of adapting the novel.This film perfectly suits his style of humor.Craig Roberts is very talented and plays this role of dark teenager very well. Acting - All performances were good. The psychic was hilarious. The boring dad, tempted mom, crazy bullies. Music- The songs chosen were terrific and I listened to all of them after the movie. Cinematography - This is where the movie shines the most. Beautiful beaches and waste factory areas are excellently captured. There are many scenes that stand out like the bathtub scene.

The movie like a movie is divided into 4 segments and its like the main character is watching his life as a movie himself being the narrator.This puts an interesting perspective to the viewers.

Though some characters may not be likable, it adds to their dimension unlike romcoms where all characters are one dimensional. In the end it was enjoyable but , it may not be everyone's cup of tea.

Code Geass (2006–2008)

First thing i would like to ask? y the hell r there only 17 reviews in IMDb for this awesome show?!while things like pokemon and twilight get thousands of reviews!

I only had to watch the first episode to discover that i am going to be spending the rest of my free time watching this. Yes...this show is very addictive. At the end of every episode there is a twist or something to look forward to the next episode.The story and writing is simply top notch

The best part of this anime is the moral decisions the protagonists makes right or wrong ..good or evil ??its all in the persons perspective.Another best part of this show is the music which just fits so well with the superb dialogues.English voice acting was very very good.

The strategies employed in this show remind me of death note but this show is different in its own kind.Not just the brilliant story with twists , even the emotions that get evoked in you in some episodes is just so good..

Enough said..just go and watch this awesome show of 50 episodes to get your mind blown and heart fulfilled...

Taxi Driver (1976)

Hugely disappointed.....

I honestly don't know what to say. I think I was expecting too much from this movie. Some say this is a phycological thriller, perhaps physcological , definitely not a thriller. This movie just doesn't fit this genre. I saw one of the IMDb posts where people were saying that ,if u were lonely then u would understand this movie.But come on !! Travis could have had lots of friends if he wanted to,the guy just doesn't talk to any of his taxi colleagues. I felt like i watched "drive" again with less plot and gore.

But you can watch this for Mr.Nero's awesome performance.More than him watchout for the young budding Jodie Foster's Oscar nomination worthy performance and the b-e-a-u-tiful cybill...

My final words , this thing is seriously overrated.

This movie is so underrated!! Watching this movie was like watching wonder years .... Its amazing how the same situation can be viewed by different perceptions by two people.The lead actors do an extremely good job with their acting, so does the grandpa.This is a teen movie without hot high school cheerleaders or party life(how much can we take?).There's always a kid like Bryce Loski and girl like julie baker in every school whom you can associate with!I registered to IMDb just to write a review about this movie seeing that only there were 51 user reviews!!

Watch this movie if you don't know what to watch and you will feel so good about your friends and family and life after watching this!

Requiem for a Dream (2000)

feels like getting hit hard your head

-----spoilers----- I had been hearing about this movie from my friends for a long time ...Yesterday i finally saw it and WOW it really made an impact!!

The movie starts out like a normal drug movie with happy start.But as it moves on from summer,fall and finally to winter.....it gets really ugly. Darren Aronofsky has done an amazing job in directing the final climax sequence packed with EPIC music by clint mansell.

Ellen Burstyn,Jared Leto,Jennifer Connelly,Marlon Wayans do more than justice to their roles.Felt sorry for the old lady ....she just wanted to be on television!! Watch this movie if you like watching movies that impact you....
