Life & Beth (2022)
Is it possible to rate zero?
I'm neither a fan nor a critic of Amy. But dear God this is boring. And so depressing. I'm on episode 3 and I'm going to grant myself leniency now and find something else to watch. Anything else. Who needs this in early 2022? Nobody. Nobody on God's green earth.
August: Osage County (2013)
With a cast like this....this movie couldn't fail
Every time I think I've seen Julia Roberts at her best, she surprises me again. And Meryl Streep - an actor who has no match. I could watch this again and again, and I likely will, just to see these actors at their best.
The Good Fight (2017)
So promising but...
I'm catching up on this show, binge watching on Paramount. It started so well, I was itching to get into it. I thoroughly enjoyed The Good Wife so this was an easy choice. I'm in season 3 and dear God these little comic skits, these appalling minor characters (though sometimes terrific actors) - I don't know if I can continue!
Oh, who am I kidding, I'll watch it. Diane's wardrobe is out of this world! Lots of the wardrobe is on point. I do hope for a return of our bright, young 4th year, too. Im halfway through episode 8 and I'm really happy to say that the most annoying character hasn't displayed (literally) himself.
The Killing of a Sacred Deer (2017)
There's no value in this film
The writer and director (is there a director or is this just people flailing around looking for a line, a story??) - they shouldn't bother doing anything else career wise after this.
The acting is abysmal, though when you have nothing have good can you be? It was painstakingly slow, the actor's voices might as well have been done by robots. No inflection, no interest, nothing. NOTHING! There's not even interesting scenery.
I'd give this "film" 0 if I could....
Spoiler: The HJ was even a fail. Geez.
365 dni (2020)
Nice passion but little else
Definitely lots to be desired. Massimo is gorgeous and I'd love to see more of him, in roles and otherwise. There was a lot of great passion in this, which I enjoyed. I'd watch it again only turning the sound on during the passionate scenes.
