Mr. & Mrs. Smith (2024– )
2/10
Mostly unwatchable trash
3 February 2024
It's too bad. I mean I really like Donald Glover. The show, I think is suppose to be taking off with the death of the previous mr and miss smith from the movie. They dont really say.

It then moves into a weird recruitment storyline that is marginally amusing but rapidly turns into, as I said, Mostly unwatchable trash.

The music is monotonous.

The missions they are sent on are boring and mostly irrelevant to not just the audience but to the stars, Glover and whomever the girl is, themselves.

Basically if James Bond was on Ativan, you'd have Mr and Miss Smith.

Watch if ya like. I made it to three episodes and checked out.

Still can't figure out if this has been a waste of my time
11 November 2023
The show is completely non-sensical. It follows the lives of people after a supernatural event except the event seems to still be happening. Is it biblical? Who knows. Is it magical, or alien, or something else? Who knows.

The entire series reminds me of "The Happening" with Mark Walberg. Except in the case of that movie, it made more sense.

The actors are great. The directors often have some serious name recognition behind them, but so what?

If you had a group master Chessmasters play a competition of tic tac toe, would that be good?

It has moments, after all, I'm still here watching it. I still can't for the life of me however, tell anyone why.

Started good but turned into a dud.

Everyone, and I mean everyone, on that plane should die. They are the absolute dumbest people to be allowed on a plane. Not a single one of them should be allowed to live.

If any of them could have been stupider in every decision they made and if every cop could have been stupider in every decision they made, I can't see how.

They attacked when they should have stayed quiet, they sat timidly waiting when they should have attacked. The police were incapable of realising anything that was so obvious that my 5 year nephew knew that the bad guys had changed cars.

Watch it for idles Elba, cause he's always good, but whomever wrote this piece of trash should find a new line of work.

Had I to watch it over again I wouldn't have.

I can't really explain how horrible this show is.

1). Every character in it, and I mean every single one, does nothing but make dump nonsensical decisions one right after the other. They really, if given 5 options, chose the worst one, without fail, each and every time.

2). They are a superhero team and fail every time they are either together and/or apart. It maters not even a little bit what powers they have at their disposal, they use them to achieve the most useless, pointless outcome possible.

3). Writing: pointless. They introduce characters and drop them without reason. They have villains that should have been caught by a Boy Scout troop, that miraculously gets away, because plot amor.

I am in season 3 now, almost done. I'll watch it to the end, but I am very confident that nothing is going to improve.

I dont get the positive reviews at all!
12 May 2022
This was crap. It started without a purpose and continued to meander along without purpose. It was a snapshot of 'who cares' with lots of uninteresting characters doing police work.

It would be like watching COPS the tv show" as a pseudo mini-series.

Jon B was the only redeeming part of the show and it wasn't redeeming enough.

Feel free to skip this in favour of watching something more interesting...like almost anything.

Bad in almost every way a television show can be bad.

It is with a heavy heart that I must officially sign off from Star Trek Picard. That meandering mess of garbage is just too much for me to take. Patrick Stewart should've just moved into the retirement phase of his career or been professor Xavier. There is nothing that can be salvaged from Star Trek Picard.

Half the story was pointless
19 January 2022
Warning: Spoilers
If they knew this was last season, the entirety of the storylines for Marco and filip were pointless. As were whatever that was with the colony.

Either they hoped to rekindle interest in a 7th season, or they want a spinoff. Or they lied and did not know it was the last season.

Filip gets away? Who cares, story done. Kid gets revived from death, who cares, there is nothing there. It didnt matter. Peaches is dying, who cares, didnt matter.

Someone screwed the pooch on the final season ala GoT.

Sad. The final.

Wow, I guess Someone needed to upstage Game of Thrones season 7
28 November 2021
Um.....wow.

The ending made, absolutely no sense whatsoever. Pretty sure a 10th grader just coming off of watching GI Joe reruns could have done a better job.

The show was great, very great, extremely great.

And then the series finale happened and ... well...

I have no words.

My condolences to the actors who did such a marvellous job throughout. Please dont hold the series finale against them.

It was not their fault.

Really a fun movie
13 November 2021
The cinematography was awesome. It was mesmerising to watch.

I had to back up and play the first song they sung in the bar again.

Yea, they're "plan" was stupid and should have gotten them all killed so "plot armour" is on full display here.

Still, totally worth watching!

They really missed the boat by not casting Peter Woodward, Edward Woodward's son, to play the lead.

No hit on QL, she's a great actress, but she's simply miscast for this part.

It started good
1 March 2020
But each successive episode was increasingly horrible.

The bad guys are just bad for no reason other than being bad guys.

The vampires are dumb. Only the head vamp is even remotely smart.

Ian sommerwhatever's character is so lame it just hurt to watch.

I bailed by episode 6 i think.

Would it have been so hard to put a timeline reference at bottom of screen?
30 December 2019
This show hops around in near senseless fashion with nearly incomprehensible names being tossed along with no real clarification.

This show is a mess. Could it be good yes, could it be better...GOOD GOD YES!!

The only way I could make sense of this thing was to watch it with subtitles on so I could read what they were saying.

just way to much "fantasy speak".

Warning: Spoilers
The who moves like a "we're just trying to survive the virus apocalypse With new buddies" movie fine until

.....

The dog runs off.

Then it becomes a who done it to find out who opened to door that only one man had the key too and who killed the dog..

....oh wait, no. They didnt really care about that at all. They just hit "who cares" on that and went in their rooms to die.

Kinda odd, i thought. Id be a little curious on the door thing since, well, death plague just killed fido, but i guess its easier to chill in room and wait to see who gets the ick.

Pearson (2019)

Jessica is awesome....everyone else is not
3 October 2019
Okay, so here's the deal.

This is a spinoff of the show Suits. That show was wicked good. It was quirky, light sometimes, funny sometimes, serious sometimes, and, with a few exceptions, was loaded with interesting characters from day one.

Pearson....is not.

It is loaded with stereotypes. You've got the stereotypical corrupt politician having the affair. The stereotypical female lawyer with a chip on her shoulder cause she's a woman and has to prove herself every time. The stereotypical Hispanic woman with the stereotypical Hispanic family. The stereotypical black woman raising her children solo cause no man around, oh, with a stereotypical supportive but largely clueless grandmother.

What made Jessica so completely awesome was that she was suave, cool, and ALWAYS was in control of everything. She was fearless cause she had the inside track on every situation. And they even took that away from her.

This show could be good. But they need to kill the meaningless unending stereotypes and try and get Jessica back on her A-game.

Right now, this show aint gonna make it. it'll die as soon as the "suits" viewers realize that this is as good as it's gonna get.

Hopefully, if it gets a second season, they'll dump most the cast and retool it into the really awesome show this could have been.

Aside from series finale was excellent!
1 October 2019
Warning: Spoilers
This show had some of the best characters on TV. Harvey, Donna, Lewis, Mike, Rachel, Jessica, were incredible. They later added Katrina, Zane, Alex, Gretchen & Sam. Also awesome.

Nearly every season was outta the park great, and the ones that werent were still an inside the park triple play.

BUT!!!!!

That series finally was....HORRIBLE!!!!!!!!

It was rushed, disjointed, confusing and honestly sub-par for this show in every way.

1). How Harvey got Faye to back off? Never explained. 2). The 2 weddings? Rushed 3). No cameo by Rachel (understandable) 4). No cameo by Jessica. (Unforgivable) 5). After fighting to keep the firm, Jessica & Harvey walk away with barely a moments thought???? SERIOUSLY!!!!! 6). The hospital thing? Forced, rushed, pointless.

In short.

Game of thrones had a better series finale, and that's NOT a compliment.

I give it nine stars for what it was, but you lost a star for the complete pile of crap you made of your final episode.

The Terror (2018–2025)

I have no words.
15 May 2018
It started with such promise. Then it descended into a steaming pile of non-nonsensical glacial paced dog crap that would not stop. Filled with characters that are dull, uninteresting, and lifeless. Acted by actors that I believe may actually be good, though I do not know, because they were as wooden as the characters they pretended to portray.

The creature was lame, perhaps not even that good.

I wish I could say one good thing about this show. Sadly, I cannot. I think I'll go purge my mind of it by watching something better.

....baywatch nights reruns? .......Star Wars: The Phantom Menace? ...........Ishtar?

Totally and in all ways hopeless.

Season 4 is a mess
8 May 2016
This season is a nonsensical, illogical, poorly thought out, poorly conceptualized mess.

Almost none of it makes any sense whatsoever. If had been the 1st season, it would not have been renewed.

The meaningless additional characters they dropped into the show have no purpose and could easily have been ignored. Ragnar the strategist is just loping from one event to the next clearly without any of the spark he had in the first 2 seasons.

I Think Travis was just too busy working on World of Warcraft to do be bothered to have much interest in what was going on in Vikings.

Llagatha is awesome, as always, but most everyone else was hopeless.

If you have not started season 4 yet, don't. Pretend the show ended with the sacking of Paris in season 3. You'll be much happier.

Steaming Pile of Crap
16 May 2014
Warning: Spoilers
Okay, Where to begin with this horror show.

1) Bryon Cranston is barely in the movie. Despite the previews, he is like dead in about 20 minutes. They clearly hyped his presence in the movie to give the movie some kind of legitimacy.

2) Godzilla is barely in the movie. He basically shows up a few times and then they cut away to a destroyed city. You don't see jack crap of him till nearly the end of the movie.

3) It is so obvious that nukes are going to be bad idea that EVERYONE in the theater was laughing when they were going to try to use nukes on it.

4) Ken Watenabe. He's an awesome actor. But in this movie he looks like a autistic child. He just stares and does virtually nothing most of the time. He has to be begged for information at ever turn.

I could go on but I'm not sure what the point would be.

Was it better than the Brodrick version? Yes.

But was it A lot better...no.

Good but why!?
19 July 2012
Okay, starting by saying, its fun, with good acting and I love Weaver since forever ...but...

WHY!? We have been treated to an endless batch of "Democrats are great and wonderful and have problems like everyone else but intend to make the world a better place if just allowed too".

I was raised by liberal democrats, I know them. I'm self employed and have a boatload of Republican friends and family, I know them too.

How about we do something crazy. How about we have republicans that care about Americas, care about their families, and have to do swarmy stuff to get elected, that they really didn't wish they had to to, but do anyway because the other party forces into the horrible position.

Not better than original
31 December 2011
Wow! I was swayed by the massively good reviews of this movie. The other reviews are overstated! The original was an ORDER OF MAGNITUDE better than the remake. In fact, Josh Brolin more or less screwed up the classic character of Rooster Cogburn.

Sorry, it blows.

Adding Line for length Adding Line for Length Adding Line for Length Adding Line for Length. Adding Line for Length. Adding Line for Length. Adding LIne for Length. Adding Line for Length. Addming Line for Levant Adding LIne for length Ladding Line for length Jesus Christ they make it hard to write a concise opinion of a movie. I'm just adding words so that my review is done.

Crap Crap Crap
27 September 2011
Warning: Spoilers
Okay, I just saw this flaming pile of fail. I don't get what everyone is so excited about. The dialog is PATHETIC. My wife looked to me and said, "Autism, not just for handicapped people anymore".

Ryan G. is somewhere between a psychopath and moron.

The girl, who's name is as irrelevant as her character could have just as easily not been in the movie. She could have been replaced by a blow up plastic love doll and a tape recorder...with weak batteries.

Plot synopsis 1) Driver (fyi, that is the only name we get to know him by) is driver. He's like the Transporter from the movie, except 1/14th as interesting.

2) He goes home after job finds girl (see above) girl has boy, girl has husband in prison.

3) Driver wants to be a mechanic, or a Nascar Driver, or a criminal, or a Movie Stunt Driver...or maybe a space shuttle pilot? or President of Uganda, who knows.

3) Husband of girl gets out of jail, and he owes money to mafia guys. Drivers likes girl, so he helps husband.

4) Husband robs pawn shop and dies. Seems that he's been set up by mafia guys as a frame job and Husband gets dead'ed.

5) Driver gets even. Kills everyone. For a while, dressed in a stunt driver mask.

6) Driver gets killed, but lives, or something, driver drives off.

AS you can see this movie had some holes. The holes were as follows: a) Acting b) plot c) Script d) Casting e) failure to provide return receipts for those of us who purchased tickets to see.

If you go to this movie, drink a lot first. And when say a lot, I mean, copious amounts of hard liquor preferable Absenth or something in the 180 proof range.

God knows I wish I had!

Could have been much better
14 May 2011
Love the actors, the concept, the genre, the fight scenes, and i want maggie Q to have my baby....but this movie was only so-so.

It needed a better script i think. The story just seemed hollow. Everything they did, just seemed half finished. Paul, who i thnk is awesome, didn't seem to resonate with any of the other cast. It really was like this movie needed another hour to develop itself and them it would have been great.

Worth seeing, if you like action movies, but sadly, your not going to remember this movie by next month.

If you like a good scifi western, see serenity.
