National Treasure: Edge of History (2022)
Not too bad so far
Not sure why there is so much hate for this. But most of the reviews seem to be written after only two episodes, so are clearly just people whinging for the sake of it.
It's a bit slower than the films (for obvious reasons), and has a very tedious link to the original movies, but i did not think it was anywhere as near as bad as the reviews i have read on here.
I will be continuing on with the rest of the show, as i think it is worth watching.
But like others, I'm still hoping they make a 3rd movie with the original cast before cage gets too old to pull it off (possibly already at that stage) or at least complete the story they left us hanging on.
Cinderella (2021)
Super cheese, but a reasonable watch
The other reviews on here are a bit too harah. Although this was as cheesy as it can get, the songs were good and the story flowed reasonably well.
Clearly not the most original take on the story, but my wife and kids enjoyed it (i have sat through worse).
Certainly killed some time on a grey miserable Sunday afternoon.
Suicide Squad (2016)
Better the second time around
I did prefer this on the second time i watched it. Not sure if it was because my expectations where not raised by all the hype, but had some great acting, characters, special effects and a cracking soundtrack.
It definitely could have been made better with a few tweaks to the storyline, but it is nowhere near as bad as the reviews and ratings it received.
Marnies Welt (2018)
Bargain basement afternoon distraction
Slow story, dialogue was a bit wooden, but the animation was ok in places.
Killed a bit of time on a wet Sunday afternoon, otherwise i would not rush to catch this. Which is a shame, as it would not have taken much to make it a lot better.
Notes for the animators.... Whats with the tiny pupils, makes the characters look like beedy-eyed drug addicts. Also, stop with the nasally voices. Try and make the characters resemble the voice actors a little more, and won't look so disjointed.
Also 'Spy Cat, is a misleading title 😂😂😂
Antebellum (2020)
😴😴😴😴😴😴😴
Avoid this film, unless you want to waste 90 minutes of your life.
I don't think i have ever seen a film more boring than this.
Zack Snyder's Justice League (2021)
Hope for DC
While by no means perfect, i really enjoyed the version of the movie. It is a massive improvement, in visual effects as well as storyline.
The regenerated Steppenwolfe CGI was considerably less cartoonish, and the added characters from the JLA comics, really made the wait worthwhile.
Hopefully they have learnt their lesson for future movies.
The Last Man on Earth (2015)
Awesome Show
One of the best shows that i have seen in a while.
Massive shame that the story was not finished. But there is enough of it, to still make it worth watching.
Will Forte is brilliant, very funny. The character had me chuckling all the way through.
Wonder Woman 1984 (2020)
Loved the retro vibe
Great movie, just needed a little more action/bad guy interaction, for me.
Loved the 80's setting, and the reminiscing of the clothing/style 😄
I am never a fan when they make the bad guy too comical. But thought Kristen Wiig pulled off the cheetah pretty well.
Definitely worth a watch. Much better than some of the earlier DC movies. And its Gal Gadot in a Wonder Woman costume 😍
Artemis Fowl (2020)
Hope it doesn't kill the franchise
Really enjoyed the books, so was excited to hear there was a movie. Unfortunately it missed the mark for me. I thought the casting was pretty good (except casting Judi Dench - i felt her age has made her acting a little wooden). Some of the special effects seem a little on squeaky pocket side.
But despite the bad reviews, it was a watchable movie.
Hopefully they will learn their lesson for the next film. And Disney won't right it off just yet.
Hooten & the Lady (2016)
Awesome
Really great show,l, shame it got cancelled. I would love to see another series.
Great storyline and characters. Defo worth a watch.
