Best of the Christian movies I've seen
19 October 2003
Here I am to tell you my opinions on "Road to Redemption". Of all the Christian movies I've seen ("Left Behind", "The Climb" and "The Ride") this is the best one. No one dies and there is no tacky "flash back" that seem to ALWAYS be in Christian movies (*ahem* take note of that please "Climb" and "Ride" script writers) It was a fairly amusing movie not all drama and Billy Grahmn (sp) was BARELY in it! Its a good start for Christian movies, hopefully its the "Keith Green" of Christian movies! =) (By the way: a teacher @ my school always claimed some guy named Keith Green was one of the first Christian singers or something.)

The Ride (I) (1997)
Christian film makers need to do some work...
19 October 2003
I was forced to watch this movie at school in 8th grade & I thought it was pretty boring. It was kinda sad that the Danny kid had cancer but you KNEW he was going to die and then Smokey would be all "Oh I see now! I think I'll be a Christian!". In order for Christian movies to actually get out there and be a major force people need to re think how they write movies, who they're writting it for. As Paul(I think it was paul) said "to those with the law I became as those with the law. to those w/o the law I became as those w/o the law..." you finish the rest.

BIG MISTAKE
20 September 2003
This is one of the worst films I have seen all year. I watched half and was so disgusted by the violence that I turned the captions on and fast forwarded to the end. In my opinion it was a totally pointless film with a very predictable ending. My main problem with it was that all the characters got what they deserved. It was their fault. My other problem was it was sooo disgusting!! Everyone was killing everybody! And they showed it all! And that photographer guy just creeped me out. So, in conclusion I thought this was a very stupid movie with pointless violence.

Good movie, if you haven't read the book
9 August 2003
"The Count of Monte Cristo" by Dumas is one of my favorite books, it keeps you on your toes the whole time, guessing what will happen next. The movie doesn't accomplish this as well. While the book is subtle with the Count's revenge, the movie screams for all to hear. "The Count of Monte Cristo, formerly Edmund Dantes is going to get revenge on his friends!!!" They left out 3 main characters, and DRASTICALLY changed the ending, they had to, the end involves those 3 characters they left out. But I did like the movie and if you enjoy it too I encourage you to read the book!

Not as good as "My Friend Irma"
9 August 2003
The only thing this movie lacked was plot and humor, which both started out promising. The plot was slow. The songs were slow and not as catchy as in the first movie. And Dean Martin was not the cowboy type. The transition between "My Friend Irma" and "My Friend Irma Goes West" was not smooth. I thought they got married in the end of the first movie, and what happened to all the money Irma won? I was very disappointed with Jerry Lewis' performance, he was just goofy in this movie, not very funny. When Martin and Lewis were together it seemed more like an act, separated from the main plot. It was a cute movie but lacked the charm of the first movie. If your going to see one, see "My Friend Irma"!
