DARK! Do not take your kids to see this...
20 August 2023
Warning: Spoilers
The movie tells Rocket's back-story, which is filled with horrible acts of cruelty. It is very dark and parts are painful to watch. The villain is not the most powerful the Guardians have faced, but he is the most abominable. He performs Hideous experiments on defenseless animals in his pursuit of "perfection.". Though the creatures are actually just computer animation it makes the scenes no less difficult to watch. Perhaps this was not a story suitable for this genre. Sci-Fi Action Comedy?

The film makers attempted to offset the sad parts with some rather lame humor. The whole movie seems as though it had multiple writers, directors and editors and feels very disjointed. There are some good scenes, just not enough to save this from being a big disappointment overall. The movie also attempts to close the door on this iteration of the Guardians as they each go their own way at the end. This ending also feels disjointed and out of place since they seem to make this decision abruptly during the otherwise uplifting ending. If you sit though the credits, there is an allusion to a possible new Guardians iteration and a return of Star-Lord.

There is an audio adventure produced by "Graphic Audio" which tells the story of a mad scientist that "clones" Grut. With each clone Grut grows weaker, so the Guardians must find and stop him. This would have made a MUCH better 3rd film and left the door open for more.

The Most Boring Heist Movie Ever...(spoilers)
6 August 2023
Warning: Spoilers
This movie could have easily been edited down to one hour. There are so many unnecessary scenes that add nothing to the plot. And it is a very s l o w moving plot. They don't even discuss the actual plans until halfway into the film. And it's not a very complicated plan. It really didn't require much other than a demolition guy and an electrician. The rest of the crew showed no required expertise. And the execution of the plan was sloppy, they didn't even wear gloves, so their fingerprints were everywhere. The fingerprints of the guy who just got out of prison were all over the electric boxes and the vault. Even if Duke (played by Caesar Romero) hadn't figured it out... which only took him a few minutes to connect the characters... the cops could have tied the whole group together easily.

And don't get me started on how unlikable the characters are. Sinatra plays a real a-hole and Lawford is a spoiled rich kid. None of them are very nice and they even joked about stealing gold during the war. Other than the Rat Pack and Norman Fell (Mr. Roper from Three's Company) the rest of the 11 are a bunch of "B" actors that are pretty unknown. Angie Dickinson's role was totally unnecessary and added nothing to the story. Neither are the cameos by Red Skelton and Shirley McLaine.

It is Ann Prentiss
12 July 2021
Ann Prenitss starred in this episode with brother-in-law Richard Benjamin. Ann is Paula's younger sister. They really look (and sound) so much alike they could be twins.

I'd Like Some More Please!!!!!
15 February 2018
This show is LOL!!! I don't understand why they only made 1 episode. That's right... 1 episode, not 1 season. Why do they tease us with such great TV and then deliver all that other crap! More of THIS show please.

Like a modern Lucy & Ethel...but they are both Lucy!
30 June 2016
It's hard to tell which one is crazier, but who cares... Since their previous show, "Best Friends Forever," was canceled they are back again. These two are just too funny to get rid of. The creators, writers and stars, Jessica & Lennon, use a mix of script and improv to bring you a LOL funny couple of best friends. Which is what they are in real life. I thought "Best Friends Forever" was a great show, but with Keenen Micheal Keyes as a co-star, this one is even better!!!

The banter between these characters will have you rolling on the floor! Just wait 'til you see Lennon's alter-ego "Beaucephus!" You will laugh so hard you won't be able to breathe. Be sure to DVR the show so you can go back and watch the bits you miss because you were laughing so hard.

LOL Funny, Clever and Original
30 June 2016
I don't know how this could have gotten a low rating by others, because I thought this is one of the best shows I had seen in years. I was so disappointed to see it get canceled. The 2 stars of the show are also the writers and creators... And just like in the show, they are a couple of wacky best friends. They use a mix of script and improv to keep the dialogue fresh, lively and fast paced. They are the best comedy duo since Lucy & Ethel, except they are both Lucy.

If you like this show as much as I do, fear not... you can see these 2 gals in their new show "Playing House" with co-star Keenan Michael Keyes. I just pray to the PTB's that this one doesn't get canceled.
