The Sweetest Thing (2002)
funniest movie ever
i never laughed so hard watching a movie. first of all, christina applegate is the best actress EVER and has great comic timing. she steals the show! also, the movie just gets funnier and funnier as it goes along. "the penis song" is probably the funniest part, but i feel so happy after watching this movie. it also makes me wish i had a group of friends like the ones in the movie who i could live with and do stuff with everyday! it's evident that cameron diaz, christina applegate, and selma blair had a blast making this movie. i hope it soon gets the recognition it deserves and finds a bigger fanbase. you wont regret watching this.
Glitter (2001)
underrated gripping drama
This movie is very good. i think a lot of people just don't like it because Mariah Carey is in it, and singers who try to act get a bad rep. but the story of "Glitter" is actually sad and personal. and the end comes as a big devastating blow. it truly shows how being famous can ruin certain aspects of your life. i thought Mariah did a good job in this. I am one of her biggest fans, but even if i wasn't, i would still enjoy this because it really does have a strong story. Granted, she did a million times better in "Wisegirls," but "Glitter" was her first leading role. give mariah a break!
Body of Evidence (1992)
better than people say it is
i have to wonder if people just don't like this movie because they're so used to putting madonna down for any movie she does. i mean, if you look at any other comments from her other movies, all it basically says are negative things. people should like a movie for what it is and not who's in it...and i'm not saying this just because i'm madonna's #1 fan! this story doesn't have the best acting in the world, but it has a good storyline and believable characters. it also raises a very original question: can a person's body be used as a lethal weapon? this is an excellent movie with a really good twist at the end!
Wrong Turn (2003)
so scary and excellent
this is the SCARIEST and BEST movie i have ever seen. i was never so scared in my life than i was when i saw this in theaters. the plot doesn't sound like it would be that good, but i was terrified the whole time, and everyone else in the theater seemed to enjoy it as much as i did. the acting was great by everyone except the stupid girl who played carly. she's the kind of character who you can't wait until she bites the dust. luckily, the rest of the movie overpowers her bad acting. i suggest this for everyone who want to sit on the edge of their seat and be frightened.
Vibrations (1996)
horrible
this is one of the worst movies i have ever seen. i love christina applegate. she's my favorite actress in the whole world, but she's the only reason i didn't turn this off in the first five minutes. it's so corny, it's not even funny. i reccomend only watching it if you are a big christina fan. i give this a 2 out of 10.
Shocker (1989)
horrid movie
this movie was the worst movie i have ever seen. nothing new and shocking ever happens, and i wanted to see the movie for one reason: to see heather langenkamp (from a nightmare on elm street) because i heard she was in it. sadly, she's only in it for one second playing a dead lady on the floor. this was horrible. i give it a 0/10.
