Lists
An error has ocurred. Please try againNote: The actress to play the character taking over the mantle of Batwoman has been cast, so the emphasis of this list will be on the female Dark Knight Detective's enemies and allies.
Note: I've switched the genders of the main two characters from male to female, leading to a slight change in the lead protagonist's first name.
Note: I've changed the name of the sisters' sprit guide, and added some new characters, but kept the names of two from the original TV series, and given them surnames.
Note: I've changed a few of the character names and given Bobby's father a first name.
Note: It is my hope that this 2nd reboot - if it does go into production - will have a darker, more serious tone to it, and lose some of the frivolous excesses that the original television series and the 2 McG-directed movies were swimming in. All I've retained from the TV show are the full names of its first three main female protagonists.
I've given first and last names to the characters that don't have either.
Note: the names on this list aren't associated with any possible Season 6 casting rumours. They are merely my own personal suggestions.
Note: I've given the character of Zane a surname.

Joker (2019)
The most realistic Joker back-story there's ever been...
As soon as the film begins, we aren't confronted with someone whose personality will make their journey to becoming The Joker a predictable one. The movie's director has wisely gone with the idea of having the audience experience every stage of Arthur Fleck's descent into insanity. Joaquin Phoenix's performance ably shows that outward circumstances created Batman's number one foe. He then becomes a more sympathetic character, even though he is gradually morphing into a monster. The shooting of the three bankers comes at a pint when all the bad things that have happened to Fleck psychologically overwhelm him.
From then on, all the people who have heaped misery onto his state of mind become the vat of chemicals that physically turned him into Joker. Near the end of the movie, Todd Phillips cleverly has Fleck's final murderous act becomes the catalyst for Bruce Wayne's parents to be murdered. Though it's a standalone film, this ending sets things up for the reboot of the Batman film franchise, in spite of that not being Phillips' intention. This movie deserves more than one Academy Award nomination and it deserves more than one Oscar win.
Supergirl: Blood Memory (2019)
This episode contained a plot development that viewers might've missed....
Though "Blood Memory" was steadfastly focussed on 3 story strands: Nia embracing her powers, Alex's bond with Supergirl broken and recreational drugs that turned people into Mr. Hyde, there was one plot development that I latched onto, probably more than the other viewers did. This revolves around Isabel Nal's death. She was fatally poisoned by a spider bite, right in front of her second daughter. This event lead me to wonder how it got into the Nal family home in the first place. Then, I aw the dream where Nia and Naeve are sat drinking tea, and then ravens encircle them. Since ravens are birds that tend to be associated with death, the conclusion I drew from that scene was that Naeve killed her own mother to try to bring forth the powers she believed would be hers. I don't know whether this turns out to be the case, but it would make for a great twist.
The other dramatically strong plot arc is the change in Alex's relationship with Supergirl, now that she doesn't know her adopted sister Kara is the Girl of Steel. I hope they expand on this situation through the latter half of Season 4 and into the first several episodes of Series 5.
Ingrid Goes West (2017)
Be careful who you stalk
Though it might seem like the main character is the antagonist in this comedy drama, towards the end you'll come to view her differently. At the beginning of the movie, we see that her obsessive need to end her friendlessness and solitude has damaged her psychologically, leading her to attack a woman who has just got married.
Plaza's portrayal of Ingrid perfectly demonstrates how desperate this bid to make friends has become. Yet, despite the comedy element weaving its way through the plot, the dramatic side of the story is never neglected. It is keenly felt in two specific scenes in the movie: the one where she returns to an empty house after her mother had died - having been in a psychiatric hospital - and the one where Taylor Sloane, the second woman Ingrid has tried to befriend, confronts her. The latter outcome arises from the actions of Taylor's vain, smartarse, obnoxious brother.
If this were a thriller, Ingrid would be painted as the crazy, villainous stalker. However, in this dark comedy, the director and writer take the bold step of making Ingrid the victim. That what makes this scene the more tragic of the two I singled out - she is emotionally ripped to pieces by the people she was allegedly stalking. This plainly illustrates that Ingrid Is far from being a psycho - she's just someone who sadly can't differentiate between a username on someone's social media account from being an actual friend. This take on the cyber stalker film offers a fresh view on the person doing the stalking. Through Plaza's mesmerising performance, we get to see her motivation and her soul-destroying obsession to be someone's friend.
