The Wheel of Time turns
25 November 2021
I loved this pilot. I'm currently reading the first book in the series. I think the visuals are fantastic and the story is amazing. I love the cast they picked out for the roles. I'm looking forward to watching the rest of the season. This is definitely going to be the next LOTR and Game of Thrones. The Trollocs look fantastic in the pilot as well and Moiraine is a great character along with Rand, Perrin, Mat, and Lan and the other characters.

Invincible: Where I Really Come From (2021)
Season 1, Episode 8
10/10
Wow!
30 April 2021
The finale exceeded my expectations. It was just so raw and gorey and emotional. Omni-Man is gone but he'll come back. It's exciting to see what'll happen next. I read that Invincible got renewed for seasons 2 and 3. I hope we'll see more of Allen the Alien too. Judging by where they're at in the comic, it's all uphill and more intense from here. Can't wait!

Now it's ramping up
30 April 2021
Anyone who's read the comics knows what this episode is ramping up too. This episode is definitely the best in the season and its only going to get better from here. Some plot details have been changed from the comic but overall, it's been a great season so far. Omni-Man vs Invincible!

Pretty solid episode
25 April 2021
I know this episode was slow with them traveling to the college but there was a section of the comic that focused on this episode and did it very well. DA Sinclair was a great villain and this episode also broke two characters apart but comic readers will know it was going to happen.

Can't wait until episode 7. Almost the finale.

Machine Head and the first big fight of the series
13 April 2021
Loved episode 5! Machine Head was amazing and so was the return of Titan. Battle Beast being introduced was also a blast! Looks like they'll continue the storyline with Debbie digging into Nolan more. The fight between Machine Head and his thugs vs the new GOTG was outstanding and so violent. Definitely looking forward to episode 6 and hopefully Invincible will get a season 2 renewal soon. I like seeing these changes from the comic with the use of more adult language and bloody violence.

Slower paced but still amazing content packed into 40 min
4 April 2021
Invincible is definitely edging along nicely. This was a slower episode but just like the comics, the early issues were slow and then it took off in a big way. I loved seeing Invincible go to Mars and we learn about the sequids there. I don' know what was with the opening scene but excited to find out. Amber and Mark's scenes were nice together.

More twists and kickass bloody action
28 March 2021
Invincible is still great into it's 3rd episode. Doc Seismic/Mauler Twins/Robot assembling a new Guardians of the Globe. I loved Monster Girl's first appearance. Like how more adult this series is more than the comic with the language. I'm so excited for Friday with episode 4.

This series continues to deliver
27 March 2021
Ep 2 is just as good as ep 1. We get introduced to the Teen Team and the Flaxons. The Teen Team looks and sounds exactly as I pictured them from the comic. I loved the little Walking Dead easter egg in this episode. Robert Kirkman and Amazon are just killing it with this. Damien Darkblood is a new character so I'm interested in where his story goes.

Seriously, get into Invincible.

Invincible is finally here
26 March 2021
Wow! I'd been reading Invincible by Robert Kirkman for years over the course of three compendiums finishing out 144 issues total and it's honestly the best comic I've ever read. The story is really fleshed out with lots of characters and the development of these characters.

And now it's a TV series on Amazon. And the first episode is perfect! I love that they decided to go the anime route with this instead of live action. It's such an amazing first episode as we follow Mark Grayson from the beginning of his journey along with his father and the other characters.

The ending was a given but it was amazing to see it from comic to screen. Everyone who is just getting into this without reading the comic first, your minds will be blown away at some of the things that are coming.

Your Honor: Part Four (2020)
Season 1, Episode 4

Better episode than the last.
31 January 2021
Episode 4 is better than the last episode. We get more in depth with Kofi's family and Jimmy's family. Charlie and Michael are still discussing Lee and how she could potentially undo everything they've done. Adam is a little better in this episode trying to hold himself together but at the end it seems he's going further into getting as far away from this as possible. The ending of this episode is a really big shock that will definitely have consequences.

Good episode but the actions of Adam are confusing
22 January 2021
Episode 3 introduced a new character and side plot related to the Baxters. It'll be interesting to see how this all plays out. Kofi Jones is still facing an injustice but Michael and Lee are fixing to make it right and the case to go away. The detective is still involved in the case and has a very tense scene with Michael and Adam. The only thing that bothered me about this episode was Adam's actions. I just don't understand why he's doing what he's doing with the pictures and talking to Frannie.

Suspense just builds and builds.
17 January 2021
Episode 2 of Your Honor keeps building the tension from episode 1. Will Adam spill the beans to someone? Will Michael accidentally let something go? This episode introduced a new character named Kofi Jones. It is sad to see what ends up happening to him but it is to protect another. These next few episodes are going to be explosive and I'm sure many deaths will follow all because of one death. It is definitely a domino effect. Michael just keeps building a hole deeper and deeper with the lies he's making to protect his son.

Judge Cranston
17 January 2021
Your Honor is a 10 episode limited series from Showtime. It stars Bryan Cranston as Michael Desiato who is a judge in New Orleans. This first episode was a great start to the series. The cinematography is breathtaking and the acting is on great especially Bryan Cranston. His son Adam Desiato (played by Hunter Doohan) is also good. The suspense throughout the pilot just builds and builds and doesn't let go. Michael Stuhlbarg and Hope Davis play Jimmy and Gina Baxter. Jimmy is a crime lord operating in New Orleans and both Michael and Jimmy's worlds collide in a tragic way. If you're a fan of Breaking Bad, Boardwalk Empire, The Sopranos, or any other crime dramas check out Your Honor. This is definitely a series I'll be watching till the end.

Everything comes to a head
19 April 2020
Wow. "Get Carter" was intense. I think the entire show led up to this episode right here and will continue to flesh out further background on Carter and our hero duo in the next upcoming episodes. Detective Carter was the one who had to be saved in this episode. We found out a bit on Carter's past. I think she's a little more trusting of Reese by the end but she'll still be out to track him down. Very good episode.

German spies and flashbacks
8 April 2020
This was a good follow up to "Witness". Finch and Reese are tracking a spy. The action and suspense are intriguing. We have more building up of character development between Reese and Finch. There was also a flashback detailing Reese's past a little as him and a partner were trying to find out how a terrorist got out of the country. Pretty soon Detective Carter and Reese will come face to face again and that will be good to see.

The reveal
8 April 2020
We finally got it. The reveal about the mysterious Elias was awesome. I'm not going to talk about spoilers but I loved it. He is definitely going to pop up in future episodes now and Finch/Reese will see him again.

I'm really liking this show so far. Very intense action and I really like Michael Emerson and Jim Caviezel working together.

Wow!
31 March 2020
This episode was insane. The POI this week was intense as a fixer and she definitely kicked some ass. I think she'll be back at a future episode to help Reese/Finch. The most important thing about this episode (to me at least) was the intense buildup of the Elias M story. I won't say much because f spoilers, but it gets intense! We'll definitely find out eventually who he is and he'll definitely be a big part of the show.

Pretty solid episode.
28 March 2020
Judgement is the name of episode 5 of Person of Interest. The plot of this one focuses on Reese and Finch trying to save a judge's kidnapped son. There wasn't any flashback sequences on Reese's past or Finch.

There were little hints in this episode that Finch is letting Reese in more.

Mysteries are unraveling every episode
26 March 2020
Cura Te Ipsum is a really good episode of Person of Interest. Not only was it a "case of the week" type episode but it revealed more about Finch a little bit with more secret identities and the relationship Reese and Fusco have.

I feel like Reese is going to dig more in depth into Finch's past soon and it's gonna cause a rift between them. Also, who is Elias? This is the second time he's been brought up. A little bit of action in this episode and a very well done story behind the new POI.

Getting interesting.
25 March 2020
"Mission Creep" is the 3rd episode of Person of Interest. This one had different side plots happening such as Carter's pursuit of Reece as he goes and integrates himself in the lives of the ones he's going to save. The other side plot is this mysterious Elias character. The flashbacks this episode with Reece/Jessica were unnecessary to me. But other than that this show is definitely gaining momentum. Each episode it seems like each POI gets themselves in more serious trouble. The Det. Carter storyline will undoubtedly come to a Reece/Carter showdown soon. Hopefully we'll find out more about Elias M.

Second episode a little slower but still good
23 March 2020
The second episode of Person of Interest is slower but slowly reveals more about The Machine and how Finch is dealing with sorting out relevant/irrelevant lists. I'm sure we'll find out more about his partner Nathan Ingram as well in future episodes. Along with the flashbacks, Finch and Reese searched for a teenage girl to save her from getting murdered.

From how the flashbacks are, it looks like Finch might know more about what happened to Jessica than Reese does.

P.S. Reese and Finch make a good team together.

Person of Interest is off to a good start
22 March 2020
This show definitely peaked my interest awhile back. I loved Michael Emerson in Lost. I picked up the first season awhile back and now getting into it. This pilot of POI definitely intrigued me. To sum it up with no spoilers: A special ops type military guy teams up with a very rich man to stop bad things from happening such as murders, kidnappings et cetera. The first episode had a little bit of action. The main character Reese (played by Jim Caviezel) can definitely fight his way out of tough spots and can handle a firearm. Finch (played by Michael Emerson) is mysterious. We don't know much about his past yet but I'm anxious to find out more in upcoming episodes. We'll definitely learn more about The Machine as time goes on. I'm in this for the long haul.

Is Slave really smut?
27 May 2016
Episode 3 has some buildup in Ashley's character and she finally figures out who is the author of Slave, the novel she's into. I thought it was him too cause he seems to be the engineer of everything with the BDSM he's doing with Chelsea and Dillon.

We get introduced in a small scene with Kalina Ryu and it is by far one of my favorite scenes in the series so far. You'll just have to see it. I hope she she shows up more in these last 3 episodes.

I think I have a good idea how the last 3 episodes will play out. It'll be interesting to see.

Jules also has a steamy scene in this episode and Skin Diamond is just gorgeous as Dillon.

So is Slave really smut? Or is it really showing that women hate passive men who are little boys as described by Ashley?

Submission: Control (2016)
Season 1, Episode 2

Submission really shows it's lengths as the series progresses
20 May 2016
Warning: Spoilers
Wow. This episode 1x02 Control was amazing. It just gets deeper and deeper into the intensity and sexuality. Again, I'm glad that this series is putting more pornstars out there in mainstream work. It's interesting to see.

Episode 2 is great. Ashley is getting more in tuned with the element of BDSM and researching about Nolan Keats. Dillon is off trying to find a new member of her "club". And Jules is just being Jules.

This episode introduced Chelsea, who is played by Karla Kush. Now I've seen a lot of performers in some scenes/movies, but I had never heard of her before. I'm interested to see what Dillon has in store for her.

I think that this series portrays BDSM very vividly and more true than that Fifty Shades of Grey monstrosity. I haven't and never will see it, but I just know Hollywood screwed that up. I wonder what new scenes of it we'll see over the 4 episodes we have left. So far being tied and getting burned by candle drops for me was pretty intense (and a little disturbing) to watch. Kudos again to Jacky.

Skin Diamond again to me steals this show as she has a pretty raunchy softcore scene with Sydney Black who was pretty unknown to me until now. Where does Jacky find these unknown actresses that are so gorgeous and really can pull off such sexiness? I love it. Please bring her back for more if you can Jacky.

So excited to see where episode 3 takes us. Karla seems to not know possibly what she's getting herself into. And excited to see Kenna James next week. She is such a sweet person.

Submission: Slave (2016)

Submission: Showtime's new erotica
18 May 2016
Warning: Spoilers
I've been a big fan of Showtime. I've watched the majority of their series such as Dexter, Ray Donovan, Homeland, Episodes, and most of Billions. But this new series "Submission" is the most intense series I've seen and that's saying a lot. And...I'm loving the direction it's going.

I mean after you watch the first scene, you'll definitely get what I'm talking about.

Submission is about a young woman named Ashley who is unfulfilled in her sexual life. She moves in with her friend Jules who is very excitable about sex and pushes Ashley to find a guy. This is where the plot introduces pornstars. Jacky St. James is the creator of this series so I'm sure there will be lots of appearances of performers throughout it's 6 episode run.

But that shouldn't deter viewers from this. Let's be honest, everyone is into some kind of porn. And seeing performers on something other than adult films to me sounds interesting. From this first episode alone, I recognized Skin Diamond and Sara Luvv. And I thought their performances were spot on.

Skin Diamond and Sara Luvv both have some steamy scenes. They are both gorgeous in their scenes and they aren't afraid to show that they are.

Ashlynn Yennie as Ashley is relatively new to me (I just found out today she was in the first two Human Centipede movies). I think she did very well. I'm intrigued to see how her character develops and where she ends up by the end of the finale.

There are other guest stars such as Ashley's boyfriend in the beginning and Raif, the owner of a coffee shop and they did good as well.

I'm not big into BDSM at all, which is what Submission is about, but this first episode has peaked my interest to see where it goes.

Kudos to Showtime for letting Jacky and Paul Fishbein do this series and from what I saw, letting them have free reign with the amount of content.

I will be returning next Sunday and for sure will do a review of the next episode.
